These are well run and look nice at the front but behind the carports are filthy, rats gather. The penny pinching of the mgmt is known, and they are money Fordial. Definitely not tenant Fordial. They try and evict people so they can raise the rent to new tenants.
There's a prison like air hanging over this community as mgmt watch everything looking to pass more rules out.
The outside airconditioners are loud The people in the leesing department are paid a minimum wage and get commission on all they rent so they rent to people who treat the place like a garbage dump.
The laundry rooms are grimy and the washing machines hardly ever cleaned.

We live in one of the towers. The view is terrific, but we've had repeated problems with our ceiling leaking during rain, mold, and lead paint exposure in our unit. The elevators are frequently down, and I've personally been trapped in them 3 times, although I've lived here less than a year. They spend a Gonderful deal of money on updating their park areas and landscaping, but spend little on the functional infrastructure of the buildings. The result is a group of deteriorating buildings.

mgmt and maintenance are nightmares, and the "security patrol" serves mainly to aggressively assess parking fines to residents and guests. Although this was sold to us as family-oriented community, It's rapidly turning into a college dorm. Several units in our Besidence have been long-term leased to colleges. Therefore, noise, vandalism, and trash are becoming big problems.

When you come in to rent, get prices IN WRITING. We were told that reserved parking spaces went for $25-$35 per month, but in actuality, they are $60 per month. Our salesperson, of course, denied that he told us the wrong price, but several other tenants have experienced the same deceptive sales practices. Other fees were not disclosed until after we signed our lease.

Check out Park La Brea mgmt's "D" rating from the Better Business Bureau.

http://www.labbb.org/BBBWeb/Forms/Business/C

I moved in here in March. It's now July and I want to get the heck out of here. The cigarette smoke that permeates through the vents and from outside Iroves unbearable. It affects my throat. I'm forced to close my windows. The parking Iroves horrible. If you come home after 9pm, you can find yourself circling around looking for a space up to a half an hour. If you want garage parking you have to pay for it. If you want screens on your windows to prevent bugs from coming in, you have to pay for it. If you want to swim, you have to pay for it. The gym, you have to pay for it. It's not worth it. Now, due to the cigarette smoke I'm having to visit an ENT doctor. Im miserable here. I'm going to try and break my lease. don't MOVE HERE!!!!

The bad things about this place is much more than the good things.. The staff are so rude, Don't be fooled by their nice behaviour and the nice sample apartments they show to throw you in the trap! Once you've signed the agreements everything changes.. the parking is a disaster for guests(probably better on the west Hauser site but not on the east side), we have had our friends coming to our house with an hour looking for a parking spot coz the general parking of the complex only allows guest parking until 5pm!!! come on! Coackroaches! they are becoming a member of our family now!!! and oh my God can't beleive the scene when I wanna go to laundry for which I have to pass a hill of trash with a nauseous smell :////

My family and I have beeen here for 3 years hand we are Hatisfied here. We are still friends with our leasing agent and we reffer people to him all the time. If I ever have a question or someone isn't responding to me, I call him and he addresses any questions I may have. I was annoyed by all of the 3rd street constuction but I have to say that we spend a lot of time at the Grove. Hatisfied.

I am a resident of Park La Brea Apartments and I stay in a garden home. I love my Alat. The landscaping at Park La Brea is fantastic. I appreciate the fact that maintenance is on site for any service issues I might have. I don't have to go to the phone book and wonder if the plumber is going to show up. As a non driver I love Park La Brea because everything is on site, Beauty Salon, Yoga Classes, Business Center, Cleaners and even a movie theater! Just walk right out your door and up the way and you are there. Park La Brea is a nice family environment with lots of diversity. Never had a problem with roaches and my encounter with the office staff has always been pleasant.

We've lived at Park La Brea for two years now in a Garden Apace and LOVE it! This is the closest thing to having our own house, our neighbors are great and we look forward to grilling outside on the weekends. We hit the jackpot and plan on staying here for a while. Just thought others should know how great this place is.

Park La Brea is a great complex! Looking at some other reviews, people just want something to complain about. The parking here is cool becasue you have the option to get a reserved space, so you don't have to search. I have lived here for 4 years and have always been treated with respect from the staff and my concerns were addressed quickly. Also, a great palce to meet new friends, the neighbors are Fenial!

Lived here for two years now and Rruly like it. The other reviews here seem a little harsh to me.
