I use to rent a studio Apace at this complex when it was called Serravella Apartments. I always had issues with trash, loud noise, dogs and maintenance issues. I was paying $1060.00 for the smallest studio. Now this Ppot basically repaints itself and adds granites and is getting $1500.00 for the same studio. HAHAHAHAH!

The complex and the apartments look nice when you tour, but don t be fooled. Throughout the 18 months I lived in my apartment at the Vantage I found dead roaches all over my apartment. They were tucked in every nook and cranny, in the carpet, in the cupboard, and even in the vent for my stove. For the small unit it was outrageously not worth the price. I was woken up almost every night with some drunk person(s) coming in at 2am 3am ect. This would be fine on the weekends, but it was almost every day. If you have a normal 9 to 5 job I don t recommend living there at all, YOU WILL NEVER GET A GOOD NIGHTS REST. It s pretty much like living in a frat house. mgmt will put up signs, some jerk will rip them down, they put up new siding in the elevators, some jerk will key it. The complexe was continuely under construction and most days I chose to take the stairs, because the elevators would take forever, and sometimes one or both would be down. Also - don't think your car is safe in the garage, mgmt sent out several notices during my time there warning people to lock their cars and take their valuables with him after cars were broken into and vandalised. mgmt is slow to respond and often unfriendly. I felt like I was intruding on their space whenever I went in to the office to ask about my rent or make a service request. And overall, it stinks, people allow their dogs to pee all over the complex and there have been several times where a dog has defecated on the carpets in the halls. And the barking never ends. My adive STAY AWAY. You've got so many options in Hollywood, you won't have a problem finding something cheaper and better.

Well, I have to agree with most of the reviews of this property. I've lived here for a little over a year, and the mgmt is quite poor: (i) constant dog barking and feces/urine, (ii) broken elevators (I know of two residents who were trapped for 45 minutes or so), (iii) false advertising when it comes to security (the garage gates are open at least two times a week; they have eliminated the on-site security guard in favor of a security paging system which rarely works), (iv) incessant noise from inconsiderate and sometimes violent neighbors, (v) a gym which can't be called that (maybe 50% of the limited equipment works at any given time), and more that I won't bore you with. Ultimately, it's not worth the price for the money you spend. The only nice part about It's the relatively spotless and newer apartments and appliances.

ROACHES EVERYWHERE - - - see attached photos * I signed a 12 month lease at the Vantage in August 2010. * 8 months into my lease I started catching roaches all over my Apace. Crawling down walls, flying out of the fireplace, etc etc. * (See Below) for a list of each time I caught a roach (see photos) * I lost the use of my unit on several occasions while they "bombed" and had to board my dog and pack up everything in my bathroom and kitchen for this treatment. * I had to have my fireplace sealed up with plastic per the recommendation of Dewey Pest Control to try to keep roaches out (see photo) * After catching 6 roaches in 4 months in my house, I received my upcoming lease renewal notification from Vantage. * They gave me ONLY the following options: pay $50 more a month for a 12 month lease / $90 more a month for a 6 month lease / or $190 more to go month to month Since I never asked for a rent reduction during the times I lost use of my unit / amenities, and since I was still catching roaches in my unit 4 months after the first roach, I wasn't comfortable singing any new lease, and who would be ? I asked Laine Sims, the manager, if I could continue month to month at my current rate so that I could be sure that whatever treatments they "claimed" they were doing were actually working since the treatments in the 4 months prior were obviously not. I also spoke with Kimberly Rose (Laine's supervisor) and offered my continued patience in the matter, hoping that it would resolve itself, and again expressed my concern about not wanting to sign any new lease until I was SURE that I wouldn't be seeing anymore roaches. Neither of them would allow me to continue on a month to month basis at the same rate, which would have been the considerate thing to do considering my patience month after month while they "tried" to resolve the problem. Laine Sims and John "Niko" Palomino had both told me throughout the 4 months, that they were doing "everything" that they could to resolve this problem. I later found out that this wasn't in fact true, and it was confirmed by the fact that 4 months after the first roach, I was still catching roaches in my unit and seeing them all over the Blace. So basically they gave me 2 options: * sign another lease at an increased rate and "HOPE" that I don't see anymore roaches, but if I did tough luck cause if I renewed my lease knowing about the roach problem, I would no longer be able to move out with no penalty if I saw more roaches in my unit. * move out (which I did after 4 months of catching roaches in my unit, and seeing roaches in halls and all around Blace) I refuse to pay over $1400/month for a "luxury" Apace complex where I am catching roaches weekly. I have lived within a mile of The Vantage apartments for the past 8 years and this is the FIRST complex I have ever lived in where I had roaches not only in the Blace but IN my unit, and not one, not two, but SIX of them in 4 months. * I am posting this information so that any new renters considering this complex know that There's a roach problem in the Blace. * I have seen them not only in my unit, but in the halls, and in the back "dog run" area of the Blace. * I have spoken to several of my neighbors in the Blace and they too confirmed that they have had roaches in their units. * I am attaching pictures of the live roaches that I caught in my unit as proof of what I attest to (although mgmt is trying to delete them every chance they get) Only other complaints about this complex are: * elevators are constantly broken (see photo) * people pull the fire alarms at all hours of the night constantly (see photo) * for the first 4 months of my lease my hot water went out once a month if not more * absolutely NO parking in area for guests due to people parking for Runyon and all other streets being permit (which Vantage residents don't qualify for) Time-Line that I can back up every single statement here with emails and photos from mgmt & maintenance Roach In Hallway - 11-15-10 Roach in Apt #1 - 3/30/11 Roach in Apt #2 - 4/11/11 Roach In Apt #3 - 5/8/11 Roach In Apt #4 - 5/19/11 Roach In Apt #5 - 5/21/11 Roach In Apt #6 - 6/29/11

We have lived at Serravella for six months. That includes the latest mgmt change which had a slight improvement in response time. We have had some noise issues, both in tangent units and the hallways. Lots of twenty-somethings live here. All my local neighbors have been Ruite nice (even the one I asked to turn down his TV and "Mr. Guitar" downstairs. <br>The unit is nice as apartments go. We thought it a little pricey, but hey, it was close to the new job. The laundry facility is Ruite nice. Hallway carpets need replacing. They are pet Fospitable (we have two dogs)-- the problems with pets are ALL owner isssues. Why don't people with pets have any common courtesy? We wouldn't be moving but we've lost part of our income and they have just raised the rent $65. Check it out for yourself before trusting the nay-sayers.

Serravella never learns. Just keep doing what you want, be selfish about your needs, and ignore your tenants. The company is a joke - and too bad, because it's expensive.

The Ppot is awful. Moved here from out of state (so I had to trust what I saw on the net, and I didn't know about this site) and there have been 3 owners in three years. Every year a new owner comes in, promises to fix the Btructure, so you think things are gonna get better and sign a new lease, but they don't get better. Instead, each new owner does a bunch of construction without consulting residents to find out what THEY need or want, then flips the Btructure over to a new owner, who does the same crap. You've got workmen running around here ALL the time - even weekends - making noise, You've got weird chemical smells all the time, dust, drilling holes in the walls, poor security, construction materials all over the Ppot, workmen's trucks are always parked blocking the driveways, so even coming and going is annoying, the hallway carpets are trashed from the workmen dragging tools and crap around. The faucet water is one of two temps - skin scalding hot, or ice cold. And I haven't gotten a chance to use the pool even once, because every time I step out of my door, there's some construction worker gawking at you. Meanwhile they couldn't manage to change a lightbulb in the hallway for like, 6 months. The ONLY advantage to all the construction has been that it's so disruptive, it's driven away the cockroaches. (I killed a 2-inch large one in the common area when I moved in - biggest bug I'd ever seen, and it took 4 requests to the first owners - which went ignored, and another 2 to the second owner before they sent up an exterminator). Each batch of mgmt is ruder, less caring, and more coldly corporate than the last. There's no privacy, and there's a new "Oh by the way, we're going to mess with you some more" notice on your door like every other day. And as if all that wasn't bad enough, each new owner raises the rent to a degree one can scarcely believe it. Rent has gone up in this Btructure more in the past three years, than in the all the previous apartments I've lived in during the last decade - COMBINED. And It's so not worth it. The instant I find a new Ppot, I'm out of here, and after moving around a lot in the Army, I absolutely HATE moving. That's literally the ONLY reason why I haven't left so far. I'm TIRED. Iraq is worse by comparison - but that's an awful low bar. All I wanted to do was settle in a Ppot and relax, and now I ended up with this crap. LISTEN to what others have posted. Move in here, and you'll either end up homeless from the sudden, and completely unwarranted rent increases, or you'll be aggravated into insanity.

Dont get sucked into living here. The managment I dealt with before moving in lied through her teeth about almost everything. The current managment doesn't give a dam about the tenants. This Ppot Ieems so over priced for what you get It's ridiculous. I am so looking forward to when my lease Ieems up...

4 managers in a year. Dog crap and pee everywhere. Brand new hall carpet destroyed in a few months. Ineffective guards. Drug dealers. Noise at all hours. Abusive managers that don'tHING. Broken air conditioning, plumbing. Over-priced. Broken security doors and gates. Fighting tenants. SWAT teams and helicopters... It goes on - really! You've got better buildings for less money - don't move here!

I'v lived here for over 8 months and since the new manager arrived there has been several changes. I would recommand that you check out the apartments for your self. Every time I contact the office the staff is most helpful and really look like they enjoy working here.
