Moved in Jan 2020 and loved it for the first year. Staff was sweet and amazing, security was great, and it smelled wonderful and was always clean. Sometime in 2021 we got new management and the building became completely different. Management is not existent, they do not care about their tenants, there's no security (homeless people come in secretly and sleep in the halls and sometimes break into apartments), packages are stolen and things don't work. When you need something fixed, management ignores you or hangs up on you. There will be WEEKS with no hot water ANYWHERE. The rooftops used to be so clean and taken care of. Now there's always garbage up on all 3, the fountains are never fixed, and I've even see a dead bird with it's body parts scattered all over the roof. Tried contacting management about it and they invited us and eventually we just picked it up. They increase rent without the intent of improving living conditions. This place is basically turning into the Cecil Hotel. Luckily we moved out this month and it's only gotten worse since we left. Do not move here unless you want to experience neglect and unsafe and unclean conditions.

Its sad to see this place get such bad reviews and the response of the management to the reviews. I generally had a good experince at the HT with the normal city apartment living issues such as noise, water outages etc that the management dealt with ok. The pros are great apartments and public spaces with an excellent location. The cons is the Management being overtaxed, the elevator that go out weeks at a time and pets can be an issue in particular one dog that has attacked a person and other animals and was never sure if the property knew about this or not but it's an issue. Overall, I think the place was a good stop especially with the 98.7 bands playing regularly made it a cool place. The reason I left is there are more choices in Hollywood offering better amenities and service. Hope this place pulls it together as it can be a good place to live.

Horrible service, horrible people, horrible management, horrible company. I lived in La Belle for over 2 years. There is so much wrong with this building and managers that have zero interest in improving it -- either on their own or from resident advice. Maintenance does a good job -- when you can get them to come. Most times you have to follow up and follow up to get any manager to do their job (there are several of them so it's not a matter of staffing...it's a matter of incompetence.). The worst part about these people is that they word the lease in a way that allows them to increase rent by ridiculous amounts. They tried to raise my rent by $700 PER MONTH! Be careful and read the lease carefully...don't allow them to word it with "concessions" or some other ploy...your rent is what you pay and nothing more. I'm actually glad they did it because I found an amazing place right up the street. You really don't realize how bad a place is until you're moving out, I guess. They have been through several security companies because they are all on the take or completely absent. Crime is a real issue. They clean the carpets every two weeks which leaves us breathing chemicals in hot hallways with no ventilation for days. Cheap finishes that look, or should I say "looked" nice, but they are falling apart and the fact that they went the cheap route in building the place is really starting to show. I could go on and on and on. Overall, they just really suck. For the price, you can find MUCH better buildings with competent staff and a company that actually cares about their residents.

Were to begin... It looks nice from the outside. The staff, when first meeting you are nicely dressed and impressive. And they'll show you the prettiest place, nice view, pool, jacuzzi, gym.. the ammenities are glorious. The REAL: DO NOT RENT HERE. Not the Tower and not the Labelle. I've only lived here a short time and already have had noise issues (parties, vomit in hallways, etc), appliances break and no one cares (takes weeks for it to be fixed) and currently, no hot water for two days. The plumbing is horrible and this is a new building (I'm at the LaBelle). I hear it's worse at the Tower. Also noted was a maid who told me that in the summer, there is "an awful ant problem." It's not the staff here that's at fault. They only can do what upper management allows. It is the fault of --------------- (sp?) who is in charge of this place. It's a terrible shame the way the valuable property at the La Belle is being treated. And, the "concerts" on the rooftop of a historical building bring the wrong crowd, who don't live there and treat the property like a concert venue. There is dog ---- everywhere, trash in the parking garage, etc, etc. Oh yes.. and more vomit on the nights of the shows. I give both properties another year before it's a well know, slumlord managed piece of garbage with a pretty facade. Pity. They could've chosen better ways to make more money here without harming the building and property. For the money they charge you here... do yourself a favor right now and do not rent here. You've been warned.

My husband and I just renewed our lease for another year and we have had a great experience all togther. We paid about the same amount of rent in downtown but we receive a lot more in this building. The buiding is very social and we have met some good friends as a result of moving here. The two buildings are beautiful and kept up nicely. The staff has been professional and any guest I have ever received has been impressed with this pace. Not to brag but it was pretty cool to meet Gavin Rosedale (and other cool bands) after perfroming at the building. :)

I decided to move to H tower because of the swanky vibe and great amenities they offered. The staff originally was a bunch of hipster kids running the place (which now have been replaced by even less competent management). At move in I agreed to signing a discounted lease, however they did not fully explain the terms (READ THE FINE PRINT!) When I moved out a year later, I spent a lot of time and money on cleaning etc to return the apartment in tip top shape. Not only did they keep my whole security deposit but also charged me hundreds of dollars extra. I have photos and videos of how the apartment was left at move out but since I did not read the fine print at the time that i signed the lease, there is nothing I can do to dispute it legally. They will squeeze every penny they can out of you, you WILL NOT get your security deposit back I promise you. The place is loud 24-7 with, you will have a 7 a.m. alarm of "house music" waking you up every morning. The crowd is young Hollywood trust fund babies who think they are better then everyone and go out of their way to show it. The pool area is constantly closed off for private parties so unless you have a balcony view to what is going on forget about getting in even though they say all residents are invited. That only applies if YOU want to have a party! However good luck having a party with the 2 people max guests you can have at any given time. Most of the management lives in the building so all the hipster kids having parties work there and obviously the rules don't apply to them. This place is covered from top to bottom with dog piss and coke heads. STAY AWAY! DRAMA DRAMA DRAMA!

I've lived at Hollywood Tower for about a year and plan on staying put if I can afford it. I can only speak for myself but the service has always been and continues to be top notch. I've seen bands like 30 Second to Mars, Foster the People, Mumford & Sons and Incubus play on the rooftop which is crazy! Since I've lived here the only poor experiences were due to rude and obnoxious "neighbors" that have no consideration for others but I've accepted the fact that most people are self centered idiots (just pick up your dog s*it!). Enough said, I'm walking across the street for a greasy breakfast at the 101 cafe to soak up last nights debauchery!

its because the person is in their 20's, and Mom and Dad are paying the bills... This is an extension of College Dorm living, and that is all. Except there is ZERO security, more drugs, and dog pee and poop everywhere.

They never fix anything. The apartments are very small and extremely overpriced. There are ants everywhere. No security cameras except the front door. Several people's apts have been broken into and things stolen. Many cars in the P2 garage have been broken into and things stolen. Overall this is the worst place I've ever lived in. I strongly recommend you DO NOT live at either one of these ridiculously overpriced apartments. Trust me, you will regret it just like the majority of people who have lived there do. Look for a different place. You'll thank me later! Also, they allow mean big german shepherds, well, basically they'll allow anyone as long as you'll sign the lease. That's what it's all about here. Don't even think of living there, it really is a horrible place to spend your life.

BEWARE!!! IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO ENJOY THE POOL BECAUSE THEY PUMP THE MOST GODAWFUL MUSIC INTO IT. LIKE SERIOUSLY THE WORST MUSIC EVER!! LIKE THE MUSIC THEY PLAY IN MALLS IN THE VALLEY OR SOMETHING. IT IS NOT RELAXING "POOL" MUSIC, IT IS LIKE YOU ARE STUCK AT A BAD PROM IN THE VALLEY AND CAN'T ESCAPE. IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO RELAX AND ENJOY THE POOL OR THE JACUZZI WITHOUT BEING FORCED TO LISTEN TO THE EXACT SAME MUSIC THAT WOULD MAKE YOU SHUT OFF THE RADIO IF IT CAME ON. I'M NOT EXAGGERATING IT'S REALLY THAT BAD. Other than that the building would be fine. A bit overpriced but fine. Unfortunately, having the pool environment COMPLETELY DESTROYED makes this the worst choice ever.
