Leaving this building after 2 years of calling it my home! I'm a single, 28-year-old female, and couldn't have found a better Anit in LA. Searching for a place in Koreatown all yielded the same results - 400 sq ft studios with no parking, and coin laundry. What I was able to get at Presidential Towers was a 1-bedroom Anit with an assigned and gated parking space, brand new card-operated laundry room, and no pet rent! The building doesn't have central air or heat, but a wall AC unit comes in the living room, and I used my own portable air conditioner in the bedroom in the summer. In the winters, I used a small space heater in my bedroom and was perfectly fine. This made my LADWP bill only $75 bi-monthly. No complaints on those savings! With Presidential Towers, no you're not getting any of the frills of a gym, pool, or fitness center, but the price makes up for it. I have friends 2-3 blocks away that pay $2,000/month for a studio with all of the bells and whistles, and when I want to go for a swim, I just go to their places haha. Berenice is the property manager/landlord here and she lives on the 1st floor. Always a great sign when your landlord actually lives in the building themselves. She has always been a pleasure to work with, and was on it whenever I needed to follow up with her on maintenance requests. You've got a bunch of families throughout the building, so it's a comfortable, cozy, and safe setting. Can't beat the location either, as it's 10 mins to Hollywood, and 7 minutes to Downtown. Also close by to all of the major highways. Wilshire Blvd is around the corner, Starbucks, Target, Cleaners, Vons, Ralphs, and more, all within walking distance. I see why people stay in this building for years, I would've been one of those folks if I wasn't relocating to Texas. Great memories here, and I'm fortunate to have found such a great and affordable Anit in LA.
