I never write reviews but tired of management ignoring me. Several times a week, there is a security alarm outside the building that wakes me up. If it was for real security issues, I would understand, but I have proven the alarm just sounds when people are using the side exit by the stairs. It is sounding when people LEAVE, not try to enter. I wear ear plugs every night, but it is so loud that it still wakes me up. I sent emails to management, and they just said they would waive my transfer fee if I changed apartments. They refuse to investigate the alarm that they're wasting money on and understand that it serves zero security purpose and is just annoying their tenants. Moving to another apartment would be such a pain, and I shouldn't have to because they won't turn the alarm off. At a bare minimum, they could at least put a sign by the exit that states if someone goes out the door at night, an alarm will sound. There are other downsides to living here, but otherwise, living here hasn't been too bad overall. However, after being ignored so many times about this issue I probably won't renew my lease. I hope anyone thinking about moving here understands they'll be woken up several times a week for no reason.

Avoid this place at all cost, this place has very bad management plus so many other reasons to follow. The management will rip you off and not reply with any complain or question, so please do not stress yourself living in a bldg with homeless, noise, bug, management issues.

This place is absolute trash, moved in and a week after my apartment had a leak. They fixed it but didn't finish their work and left a hole open. Cockroach infestation happened and still has been going on till this day. The building seriously has a pest problem. Dead cockroaches in the hallway all the time, flies ally year round will get into your apartment even when all your windows are closed. The street the building is located at has turned into skid row so you can't open your windows from the noise. The security has harassed me personally and decides to take pictures on their personal phones of you in your swimsuit when there are cameras. On top of all of this the management is absolute worst and never said sorry. I have asked them to let me leave 15 days earlier to which they have responded they can't do anything.

TRY YOUR BEST TO LOOK FOR ANOTHER PLACE!. the very low security deposit is misleading. they will bill you after you have left. your parking always gets parked on by idiots who doesn't give a damn. you can hear your upstairs neighbor walking around. cockroaches, a lot of cockroaches. they are friendly when they are trying to get you live there. if you are a non smoker or if you have little ones please DO NOT live here! they say they are NON SMOKING but you can see people smoking, you can smell smoke in the hallways you can see cigarette butts in the hallways, if you live facing the pool you can smell MARIJUANA if you leave your window or balcony door open. as mentioned in another comment, i can atest to the fire alarm fiasco. homeless coming i can atest to that as well, there was a guy sleeping in one on the laundry rooms one night, and the security guy did not even have his flash light with him. and one last thing there is currently a class action lawsuit against them for unlawful collection of late fees. you can look it up. your money is better spent elsewhere.

The mailing system of this apartment really sucks and you get your deliveries lost now and then. Their agent will tell you that you should be grateful that they're holding your packages so you shouldn't be upset once they're missing and they can do nothing about it. Terrible customer service.

SO BAD! I lived here for three years and every year my rent increased by almost $300. CONS: - Dirty - Infested with cockroaches and spiders - Always smell bad - HOMELESS PEOPLE COME IN! (One little girl was groped by a homeless man!!!) - Overpriced for what you get - Firealarm is always ringing even when there is no fire - Water shut offs without notice which ruins your day to day activities - Laundry machines barely work - Cars getting broken into - No security - Gate is always open because "we're fixing it" - Main door is unsafe - Loud noise from neighbors and the street - lack of street lighting at night - Elevator stops working while you are inside which is super frightening - Elevator barely works - Dirty swimming pool - It is not a very safe place - Also they charged me $300 for trash removal and $350 for carpet cleaning Lots of cheaper and nicer place around this building so please consider checking them out first. Also, random people parks in your spot and they cannot do anything about it especially after office hours. People don't answer phone calls when there's an issue and they lock the office door so you cannot get in. This happened a lot of times.

I really like Hampshire. It's a walking distance to my work and easy access to the major freeways. The staff is nice and my neighbors are nice. I would highly recommend living here if you work close by.

$1300 for a mediocre studio in Koreatown is a bit on the expensive side. When I first came to visit the complex, -------- at the management office was nice and helpful. She showed me around and insisted that the place was clean and safe. Well, I fell for this and signed the 1 year lease. First of all, the management staff (minus --------) are horrible. They do not know what they're talking about half of the time, have bad communication with the other employees, and are unhelpful. All they care about is making sure all the units are leased, but don't care about the tenants in those units. HORRIBLE management staff. Second, mice problems. REALLY? They say that all the rodents came over to this building when the Summit building next door went into construction. Well that should have been taken care of a few years ago. I cleaned up the poop the mice left behind the first 2 TIMES. However, the THIRD time around, I couldn't take it anymore and went to complain to the management office. (By the way, I never had food laying around on the floor and always take my trash out). They forgot about it and when I came back to the office, they said that they were on their way to take care of it. COME ON. Third, the laundry machines have mold growing in them. They claim to have a 24 hour maintenance team. Well, shouldn't they send someone over to wipe it down every once in a while? Lastly, if you live in a studio or 1 bedroom, GOOD LUCK getting a second parking spot. Parking on the streets get tough after 6pm. If you plan on having guests over, be prepared to pay for some pricey parking tickets. Overall, I would definitely NOT recommend living at the Hampshire Place. You can get a pool, hot tub, and a better gym elsewhere.

I just moved in a couple of weeks ago and so far I really enjoy it. It seems safe and has well-maintained amenities. The staff is really friendly and helpful. I had a maintenance issue this week and there was someone here within 5 minutes and fixed the problem immediately. And being close to Metro is really nice, even if you're not a commuter. Aside from the community area, the apartments themselves are really nice. I have a 1-bedroom and it's pretty spacious, nice walkin closet. The office staff is very nice and helpful. I like their pool but the hot tub is a bit small. I'd imagine the pool must get super crowded in the summer but they have lots of lounge chairs. All in all, this is a lovely place to live so far. I'm really happy with my decision to move here. I haven't had the chance to talk to my neighbors but I run into some in the elevator and they seemed pleasant and friendly, and I look forward to enjoying my time here!

After the place was looked over in our initial inspection and we were told everything was fine, we received a bill with deductions for cleaning, painting and other items that very much seemed like the costs they should cover for incoming residents. They say it is valid, that the initial inspection is "a quick walk through", but it is pretty clear they are abusing the system and using your security deposit not for damages other then usual wear and tear for what it was intended.
