I wanted to get an apartment here because it's a good location and affordable but the building manager didn't seem to want to answer questions or even practice basic courtesy on my two second tour. He just wanted to send me an application without answering any questions. I'm not gonna apply with management that acts like that. LA has plenty of housing - not gonna reward such abrasive people. Reading the reviews here has validated that gut instinct. Candice G. responded to me and tried to insult me by saying I was unemployed. Not true, I am employed and have a fantastic cosigner just in case. This is the style of management you will receive here.

Sean Wright is a sick weirdo look at all the complaints here that shows you something isn't right here. I heard from different tenants he goes into people's apartments without their permission or any work order at all . SOooo ... as soon as that was brought to my attention I went the same day I got a camera I could hide in a clock . Which I looked over yesterday ( very 1st day recording) I didn't expect anything but looked anyway and low and behold guess what? YEP you guessed it Sean Wright debut his ugly junky self I caught him in my apartment I couldn't believe it there he was and was looking through my stuff and took some change from a coffee can I haven't said anything and I didn't call the police like I should have however I got a good lawyer he was more than happy to take the case other people have said I can spend their apartment to one lady said he abused her animal which I believe because her animal was hiding under a coffee table when she got home which was not normal and cats and dogs do things for a reason well I'm going to be very wealthy soon and this place is going to go to hell because I'm about to get a lot of money off of them for their indiscretion of hiring somebody with all these complaints which my lawyer is one who brought this site here to my attention because he couldn't believe this guy's name mentioned over and over and nothing is being done it's probably going to hit the news well looks like I'm going to have a little bit of free living for a while and have plenty of money to go shopping and upgrade my car thanks for illegally coming in my apartment pervert seriously thank you I suggest get yourself a camera and hide it!

I've lived here for four years. Three years of which I was the security guard. THIS PLACE SUCKS to put it lightly. Management is terrible. Bugs.... Roaches, bed bugs, etc. And of course there's the occasional drunk transient sleeping in the laundry. My advice..... Go somewhere else. I am!!!!!!

I have lived here just shy of a year. The neighborhood is really nice as it is close to a lot of entertainment, parks, and easy dog walking. The parking is a bit of a pain, but that is a part of living in Los Angeles. I have never had to park more than a block away and only that far if I park late in the evening. Most of my neighbors are super quiet, there is the occasional noisy one, but it is not a regular experience. Only on a few occasions have I had to wait a few minutes for a washer or dryer, and have never had laundry stolen. Negatives: moving in is a pain because you have to open two elevator doors which are old, basically you go to bed a bit bruised up. The water is turned off quite a bit for repairs with a couple of days warning, a bit of a pain. Positives: quiet, clean (I saw one roach once right after the place was fumigated), the hall carpets are being replaced with laminate which is much cleaner. My experience is nice neighbors. I've personally not experienced any problems with management, in fact, they will spoil your pet more than you do if you take it into the office with you. You are close to all the fun, hot spots in L.A. and one block from mansions. There is a huge park a mile away, and some of the best restaurants and shopping around.

It's been a few years since someone has written a review here, so I thought I would add my two cents. Also, I'd like to reiterate that the address is listed wrong. This is a review for Edgemont Apartment, 1716 N Edgemont St. I'm a young, single female and this is the first apartment I've ever moved to. As of two weeks ago, I've lived here for a year. The only complaint I have about Edgemont is the parking. There is a very long wait-list for a parking spot. I still don't have one, but I've grown used to it. Tip: If you do move here, there are always quite a few spots just past the Franklin Ave. light, which is about a five to ten minute walk from the apartment, depending on how fast you walk. Other than that, the apartment's great! The walls are thick, so it's quiet. There are ample laundry facilities in the basement. Unlike some of the other reviewers, I've never had any clothing stolen. Utilities are to be expected for the price. There is no dishwasher (at least not in my kitchen), but I've never had a problem with that. My studio came with a refrigerator, which is quite a deal! Everything is clean and works properly. The landlords are very kind and I believe they both live on-site, so they're always available for any sort of emergency. I've never had to call them up about anything going wrong in my apartment though. Everything continues to work to this day. I've also never had a plumbing issue. The best part is that the apartment is within walking distance of a lot of really fantastic restaurants, a vintage movie theatre, coffee shops, bookshops, and a few eccentric stores. I couldn't ask for a better area to live in and at such a great price (most of my friends in the area are paying $300 or more a month than me). All in all, this is a safe area with a friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend it!

I love living here. The unit my boyfriend and I are in gets a beautiful cross breeze so it always feels fresh (for LA air that is ;) A few of the neighbors I've met have been really sweet young people. There are a few young enough to be a little too noisy late at night, but it usually settles down at a reasonable time, and almost every time it's on a weekend. The building is really charming with the big old swing windows and hardwood floors. The location is really the ticket for the price! It's amazing how different your lifestyle is when you can walk almost anywhere you'd need to go! Basically I love it, and I feel super lucky to be here.

DO NOT RENT HERE!!! You will be sorry. It's management sucks and the only good reviews on here are from Sean. I'm certain he's posting the ones that are correct. He's nuts...and J'hana is aweful. These people will make your life miserable till your lease it is up. Its true about the roaches for 1716. Spray.

When a person moves to a house or apartment, its because they intend that to be there home. I just finished reading the horrible response written to dquinonees by "anonymous." Having lived at Edgemont and having had the unfortunate experience of knowing Sean Wright and Janice Johnson, I can tell you, that Edgemont is not a place you would ever want to be. If you don't believe what people have written about Sean then read the response posted under dquinonees write-up. That is written by Sean Wright and should serve as all the proof you need not to consider living in any of the 4 buildings managed by Millennium. The place is poorly maintained and Sean Wright has harassed many tenants since he got hired. Many of my neighbors have left over the years because he is rude and others, because they thought he was crazy. The man is nuts and if he can take a person's finger he can do a lot worse. The place has skunks living under the buildings, cockaroaches, and bats which in the past have flown into kitchens through the archaic openings used as smoking ventilations. Between bathrooms are chutes which go from the ground up to the roof. If you look down, you will see them filled with garbage. I also had clothes stolen more than once from their unsecured laundry rooms. Please read what Mr. Wright wrote to dquinonees as evidence that the man is not only stupid, but crazy.

I lived in 2 different buildings on Edgemont both owned at the time by Moe Greendale. First, I lived in a single and at the time, there was a lot of drug trafficing. I later moved to a 1 bedroom and we had a horrible manager named Stan who I heard absconded with money from tenant rents, before being fired. Then came Millennium and they paved the back driveway and made some improvements but one manager after another came over the first 2 years. In the meantime, a lot of long time tenants got evicted. Then came Sean Wright. What a psycho! Before I moved, he came and inspected my apartment while I was at work and it wasn't until I was actually moving out that I realized that one of my paintings (I'm an artist) had been stolen. He is the only person who could have taken it but I just wanted out and so I didn't file a police report. Before I moved, I got home one day after Sean had been in my apartment inspecting the heater. My dog who is people friendly was hiding under the dining room table. She looked so scared and I just know she was hit or kicked. Since Sean was the only person besides me in my apartment, it had to be him. Another time I got home and I saw him standing outside one of my neighbor's doors with his ears pressed, listening. The neighbor was a pretty young single woman. I told her about what I saw and she moved out 2 months later. The place could be nice but the guy is wierd and I think dangerous. If you complain to Janice Johnson the president of Millennium Prop Mgmt, she will always protect Sean and when I lived there she had a horrible reputation. DON'T CONSIDER MOVING TO EDGEMONT UNLESS YOU WANT TO HAVE THAT PSYCHO STEAL FROM YOU OR STALK YOU!!!!

This apartment is great. My pets are welcome and I have a view. Management has always been great to me.
