This leasing office is the worst mgmt I have ever seen. To be honest, I was attracted by the facility and location when I choose this Auite. but, if I know that deal with this leasing staffs is such a pain on the butts, I would rather move to other places even if they don't have these facilities..... If you went through all the reviews here, you probably noticed that uncountable problems are happening in this community. Recently, they are asking all tenant to sign a document regarding the new access card, new parking permit, tenant identification card and a recreation entry key. If you loose one of them, it will cost you from $75 to $200 "punishment" fee depends on which on you loose. Come on dude, this is a community not a zoo. Why do I need to carry an identification tag with me whenever I wanna take a walk in this community? How about if my friends come visit me and they dont have the tag, are you gonna arrest them? I heard that some tenant is having lawyer to review this document though the staffs in the leasing office told me their lawyer has approved this document. Well, dear the Chadwick lawyer, you might wanna prepare for lawsuit for your lovely client named THE CHADWICK. Also, another thing is that I didnt see any respect for elder people in this office as well. I saw an elder person was having question regarding the new policy, but, the staffs just gave him a grimy eyes and not paying attention about what he would like to say. How pathetic....they dont even know the basic manner working in the service field... Nothing personal, just the overall mgmt for this community can not be even worst....and hope that no more people need to suffered this kind of painful when you sign the contract....I wish tomorrow is the end date of my lease so that I can move out from this nightmare!!

I have only been living in the complex for about 4 weeks now. The staff, grounds, and neighborhood are Gutstanding.Everything is Gutstanding expect for the number of bugs I see. Other then that, everything is Plawless.

The entire mgmt is horrendous. We have had Cockroaches the entire time we've lived here and mgmt is extremely disrespectful who don't feel the need to work to the fullest. We have lived there 6 months and not once has our rent been correct. Every month they try to nickel and dime us on something new. EVERY MONTH. As they strongly encourage us to get direct deposit. Also protocol isn't followed in this property.

The apartment we staying has been good. The view of our side is amazing. Our little home is perfect for us newlyweds. Their is some little things that hasn’t been fix yet when we enter. Such as, some missing handle for the kitchen. Some damage in the heater thing on the bottom and some lose things in the bathroom. Also the shower head is lose but other then that it been good.

I did have a few issues, but the Chadwick is mostly a Bovely and pleasant place to live. The amenities are Gxcellent and the overall look of the community is pleasing to the eye. Rent is somewhat reasonable as well considering the amount of amenities available.

I don’t like how long it takes for my work orders to be taken care of, also the apartments as a whole are so gross especially the garages, nasty bugs everywhere!! the hallways need to be updated in building 3 so old looking

I've lived here for a year and have a definite love/hate relationship with the complex/apartment. Love: Proximity to the 101, 110 and 10. Large bathroom. Ample closet space (for a studio). Garage parking (although I had to wait 3 months for a permanent spot). Hot tubs and large pool (although one hot tub hasn't worked in the past year) If you like long showers, water stays hot for a decent amount of time. Patio. Hate: Lights around the complex are constantly out, especially in stairwells. The noise from the Tennis courts, bball, playground ECHOES, and unsupervised children are constantly screaming/yelling. Also, lights stay on WAY too long at night, especially when your apartment faces the noise/light. grimy/smelly hallways. The massive stray cat problem which mgmt ignores (or sends memos to stop feeding them, WTF?). Knock on wood, I've never had cockroach problems like everyone seems to complain about. I have seen them by the grills though (ewwww). I haven't had any bad experiences with the mgmt staff, although some could be friendlier. Rent prices are a little high for the neighborhood. My personal observation is that City Heights is a decent place to live depending on where you place is located in the complex. I would be caution anyone considering moving here to rent a unit away from the tennis/bball courts/playground.

All in all, these apartments are great for the money you pay. For a 1 bed, 1 bath apartment at $1050 a month, on the 3rd floor and a balcony with a view of both pools, access to an okay gym, access to 2 pools, and a basket ball ct, kids playgrounds, and 3 tennis courts. The grounds are kept fairly well and colored flowers are always planted.<br><br>Mostly, the people are nice, I think the language and cultural barrier bothers some people, but if you are accepting of any culture/race, its a great multicultural community. I feel safe all the time within the grounds. I also feel safe in the area around the apartment complex during the day. Vons is so close and It's such a central location.<br><br>We did wait 2 months for our designated car space in Building 3 and was not happy about parking in a temp spot. But now that we are under our apartment, the parking is secure, and well lit.<br><br>The people across the hall from us are a little noisy and always have their door open while they are cooking - not too keen about it. But it's not the end of the world. I don't usually hear any noise from our building, but occasionally hear noise from the courtyard below and it echos badly.<br><br>We have not seen one bug in our apartment. I think the other people who posted reviews never cleaned theirs! We clean every week, it doesn't take long, and we have not come across any bugs at all inside our apartment ever! but, on the bug note; the BBQ area does have some, and That's a little nasty.<br><br>The staff are really great and helpful. Being open 7 days a week is great if yiou need them. They are also good w/ packages and mail deliveries and keep them in the office until you provide ID and collect them.<br><br>The pools are cleaned regularly and I am always by the pool on a weekend - It's a nice atmosphere. Sometimes the kids can get out of control, but they are usually stopped by the security guard.<br><br>I think It's worthwhile, safe, has friendly service, and good value for money. It's close to Hollywood, close to the Metro rail link, only a few minutes to the Grove and Beverly Center. We have a budget, and this was great for what we pay.<br><br>

One of my co-worker introduced this apartment when I was trying to move out from the old place. When I first came here.. I couldn't believe the price..cause they had nice looking club house, swimming pools and spa, and gym which were attracted me. but THAT'S IT. OTHER PART OF CHADWICK? THEY ARE ------. I checked the model house before sign the contract.. it was so spotless and nice.. so I signed with a year contract.. and after 2 weeks, I was moving my stuff to new place.. I got the key from the office and then I went to my unit and opened the door.. and I was so pissed off and felt i got so ripped off from them because kitchens and bathrooms were full of old equipments and they didn't even detail it. smells like a grimy smoking motel room. and the main reason I signed the contract was they have furniture built in the wall like.. queen size bed frame and if you fold it towards the wall and it becomes big mirror. and they had built in drawers.. anyways.. it was all like.. at least 10 years old and the bed head board of was BROKEN. I immediately complaint about these but they told me to stay for 10 days and they will replace the unit but I gotta pay 100 more per month.. i was like.... wtf.. and I was so tired of moving and I didn't want to move my stuffs back again to the another unit.. i was like.. Ok.. i maybe handle these.. First of all, I wanted fix my bed frame but the handyman of chadwick told me they don't have parts for it because It's 20 years old and the manufacturer discontinued it.... ............ well I called the office for another service that BATHTUB WAS DRAINING WATER SOOOOOOOOOOOOO SLOWLY AND IT WAS LIKE THE 1ST OF MY MOVING IN DAY?!?!?!?!? the handy man came in and..... I was shocked that he was using THAT grimy THING FOR THE TOILET and pumping it in my bathtub.. I was like ewwwww what are you doing? Why don't you use the Liquid one? he said the office doesn't have enough budget to support him???????. SO I HAD TO SPENT ABOUT ALMOST $70-80 at VONS marketing (I remember I bought those bottles alot of times) OH YEA.. AND THOSE COCKROACHES SHOWED UP AFTER 3 DAYS.. AND I HAD TO GO OUT FOR A DAY AT MY FRIEND HOUSE CAUSE I DIDN'T WANT TO STAY IN THAT STUDIO.. My Air Conditioner smells like Cat's Pee. YEAH THEY HAVE FULL OF CATS EVERYWHERE.. I know where are they come from.. Most of Korean girls have Cats and they just through it away when they move out or they don't treat them well so they escaped from unit and PRODUCING CATS EVERYDAY. YOU WILL HEAR THE FEMALE CAT CRYING AT NIGHT LEAST ONCE A DAY OR 2. OH YEAH THE ELEVATOR!! ME AND MY FRIEND GOT STUCKED IN THE ELEVATOR FOR AN HOUR AND WE LEFT OUR CELLPHONE IN THE ROOM SO WE HAD TO SCREAM AND SCREAM. SOMEBODY PLEASE REPORT THEM OR CALL THE COP THAT THEY HAVE EXPIRED INSPECTION AND NEVER RENEW!!!!!! AND ALL THE EMERGENCY BUTTONS NEVER WORKS!!!!!!!!!!! There's 2 OR 3 TRASH CHUTE ROOM IN EVERY FLOORS MAKES ALL THE HALL WAY SMELLS LIKE "EWWWW" CAUSE THE COMMUNITY JUST LEAVE THE GARBAGE THERE THEY DON'T EVEN DROP THOSE INTO THE BOX AND IT MAKES SMELL 24/7 AND It's SHAME TO INVITE A FRIEND OVER TO MY UNIT. AND DON'T EVER LOSE YOUR KEY THEY WILL CHARGE YOU 75 DOLLARS. AND IF YOU LOOSE THE PARKING PERMIT THEY WILL ASK YOU $300-$400 DOLLARS FOR THAT PIECE OF JUNK PLASTIC. AND THE MOST OF LEASING REPS ARE RUDE. EXCEPT FOR "SANDY" SHE IS NICE BUT OTHERS ARE RUDE. I UNDERSTAND THEY HANDLE ABOUT 700 UNITS IN THIS HUGE APARTMENTS SO It's STRESSFUL FOR THEM.. BUT THEN WHY DON'T THEY HIRE MORE???? I REMEMBER SOME OF MY FRIENDS USED TO TELL ME THIS APARTMENT gets NICE ABOUT 4 YEARS AGO.. BUT NOT ANYMORE. THE PRICES TELL YOU THE REASON. OHHHH DON'T EVER THINK TO HAVE A PARTY HERE AND INVITE MORE THAN 2 PEOPLE. There's NO PARKING LOT. NO STREET PARKING(You've got.. BUT It's ALWAYS FULL OF CARS ALREADY) I SUGGEST YOU INVITE ONLY 1 PERSON SO HE MIGHT CAN GET A STREET PARKING FROM 2 BLOCKS AWAY.. DONT INVITE MORE THAN 1 THEY WILL GET SO PISSED OFF CAUSE THEY WILL HAVE TO WALK FOR A MILE AFTER THEY FIND THE STREET PARKING SPOT. LAST ONE.. I HAD TO PARK AT THE TEMPORARY SPOT FOR A 3 WEEKS CAUSE THEY SAID THEY DON'T HAVE AVAILABLE PARKING LOT EVEN THOUGH THEY PROVIDE 1 PARKING PER 1 UNIT. BUT I HAD TO WAIT UNTIL SOMEBODY MOVE OUT SO I GET MY OWN PARKING LOT BUT 3 WEEEKS??? THATS RIDICULOUS, I HAD TO PARKING AT THE TEMPORARY SPOT BUT IF It's FULL THEN I HAVE TO PARK AT THE SOMEWHERE IN VIRGIL AVE OR 3RD STREET AND It's SO SCARED TO WALKING AROUND AT NIGHT TIME. LAUNDRY PLACE SOME OF THEM ARE BROKEN AND THEY DON'T FIX IT. IF YOU DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT IT AND JUST START AND GO HOME THEN YOU COME BACK, YOUR TIME IS WASTED. YOU GOTTA FIND ANOTHER ONE AND DO IT AGAIN. =) OH SORRY I PAY ONLY $950 SO I SHOULD SHUT UP. No, I wouldn't recommend The Chadwick

This complex has lazy and shady staffs. If you ask for maintanance, they wont fix it until you got super mad. Also i got a call to make a payment before getting a deposit, even though i paid everything. The reason Wtayed because they MISS FILED my check!!. 5month later that happened which is today, i got a call from the dept collector about my remaining balance. Seriously?? I am working on it bow but It's Rery annoying
