Been living here for over 4 years now and it's proximity to UCLA, UCLA hospital and Westwood can't be matched. Within 5-10 minutes walking you can be at any of those locations (Hospital is literally a stone's throw away). Also compared to other apartments/condos I've lived in Westwood it was much better maintained and had some great perks that not all units in Westwood have: Granite countertops, balcony/patio, covered indoor parking (and it's not tandem!), pool, BBQ, 2 gyms, lounge with pool tables and much more. NOTE: These are individually owned private condos, so I'm sure some are better taken care of than others but in general no complaints with my landlord. Must live location for doctors (med students, residents, fellows) and any grad students/undergrads in general due to pure proximity to daily locations in and around campus.

I've been living her for a year and must say that I love the location. The biggest problem for me is the smell. The old smell all over the apartment complex. Not only in my apartment but also in the building, gym, hallway etc. I think this is because of the carpets. I've talked to the manager without any result. Another problem is the rent. I really do not think that Club CA is worth the high rent they are taking out. There are better alternatives around the area. I'm paying 1800 for a 1 BDR. I know people who pay more and I'm shocked. Overall I'm happy

The building is subdivided into different landlords and we probably ended up with the worst of the lot, but there is utterly atrocious management. We had a break-in in the middle of the night last year and luckily my roommate was able to surprise and scare off the man that entered our apartment but when we reported this to Club Cali and asked to see the footage from the side of our building they waited a month to respond and then told us that the footage was lost because they don't hold on to security footage for a month. We were continually lied to, avoided, and disrespected. It is now almost November and our security deposit has not been returned to us because they initially tried to return the wrong amount due to bookkeeping errors on their part. They are now claiming different information and will not return the full amount we are owed. We had construction in our apartment which we did not ask for, our water was shut off without notice, there were people coming in and out of our apartment without notice, etc. Our access cards which let us into the building and garage were turned off without warning, causing us to be late to work. It is incredibly difficult to get an answer from anyone in management, in addition to our personal landlord, about any issues that come up, and we are beyond fed-up with our entire experience living here and entirely wish we had lived elsewhere.

Don't believe all the negative reviews. From talking with owners and people living and renting condos in this building, the bad reviews are mostly from people that didn't stay or were asked not to stay. They take the time to specifically not recommend the building. Like over 98% of the people we talked with who live and know the building since the condo conversion really like it. It's not for everyone because it's not a party building and the prices probably reflect the location, modern renovated building, wide age range of both owners and renters, amenities, pool, BBQs, basketball, laundry, on-site managers/security and all side by side parking. The problems have been overcome by a new board and management company. These days it seems it can be hard to find openings at different times of the year, so be patient. Some of the units for sale are bid up.

Don't believe all the reviews. From talking with owners and people living and renting condos in this building, the bad reviews are mostly from people that didn't stay or were asked not to stay. They maybe didn't like the prices and the rules which keep the property at high value, nice and quiet. It could be that unhappy people are the ones that take the time to go on to the websites to not recommend the building. Like over 98% of the people we talked with who live and know the building since the condo conversion really like it. It's not for everyone because it's not a party building and the prices probably reflect the upper end geography/location, modern renovated building, wide age range, owners and renters, amenities, laundry, on-site managers/security and parking. The early problems have been overcome, it is well managed with a change in management company and a nice building to live in. Sometimes hard to find openings, have to wait. Sometimes have to be patient and wait for rental inventory to open up and units for sale often get bid up.

Hello. I am in the market for a new apartment, and like many people in my situation I am a bit confused. But I'm extra-confused because as I read the reviews of this building, which is listed at the top in its ZIP code with a 100% recommendation by reviewers, I notice that most of the reviews do NOT recommend the building. I wonder how this is possible. How can it be "100% Recommended", yet most of the reviews do not recommend it? I am perplexed by this. Strangely, it is the same with the "100 Recommended" building that follows on the list. Most perplexing to the average apartment shopper.

Lived here for the past two years. Nice quiet apartment that comes with parking. Very clean building that has a nice pool, and gym. Compared to most apartments in Westwood, the rent is very affordable.

Much better than it used to be. Very nice now, all the issues seemed to have been solved. Managed well, smells ok, nice people, no tandem parking, quiet, lots of amenities. Nice place, great location.

It appears there are some erroneous reviews here. Condo conversion after late 2006. Each unit is individually owned. There was not, and is not, one owner renting out after 2006. If someone had a bad experience with one particular landlord, it should not reflect on the entire building. There are 213 units. It is a moderately expensive building because it has been updated, had a lot of amenities, security, on-site office staff, and outstanding location with side by side parking it the heart of Westwood.

Ever since the place was redone as condos, it's really nice. While the condos aren't huge, they're nice with granite counters, etc. Nice pool and weight room (not huge, but kept up nice). Easy parking, and good security. Close to UCLA. Management seems to be new in the last year or so and are very professional compared to the old guys. Overall, it's a nice place for the money, so I'd definitely recommend it.
