“I lived at this building for 2 years. It has really great access to buses, trains, local markets and sit next door to McArthur Park. This neighborhood is very lively day and night. While living in the building I found the management to be responsive I had 5 defective fridges, yes you could say it was good that management replaced them however, the amount of time, money and food that got wasted left me wondering why they would buy such old equipment when they had the choice not to supply a fridge. They also replace the gas cooker twice because it was defective, again great for replacing them but again if you invest in quality in the first place the replacements would be unnecessary. There was a severe outbreak of bed bugs, so bad that the management sprayed the unit I occupied 12 times including following up treatments in 5 months. And the unit I rented was not the unit that was infested it was the neighbor and the unit I was renting was as a precaution. In my opinion the fumigation was not only excessive but was persuaded that it was a necessary precaution. No over night accommodations were made for me the spraying or the follow-up treatments. I was told by the managers that they would be spraying more because it was a stipulation of the city. NOT ACTUALLY TRUE. City mandates that once a year is regulation but managers and landlords can take it upon themselves to spray as many times as the see fit even if it causes harm to tenants. On many occasions I found myself confronted by members of the McArthur Park community in the building as the security was so lacks they anyone could tailgate an unsuspecting tenant and find a corner of the building in which to sleep. The icing on top of the cake for my living experience at 667 S Carondelet experiment was the management decide to take five days to fix a leaking radiator and come to fix it on Christmas Day telling me that it was my fault for using heat. It is obvious to the read by now that I did not have even a decent experience. So why did I stay? I stayed because it was affordable and when I moved in management were doing renovation and lead me to believe the disruptions renovations and make over would improve the building and the living experience and I believed them. Instead I became very sick in this environment. If you rent in this building document everything, know your rights, insist on your rights, put everything in writing and I hope you have a better experience than I did. Mind you don't trip of the sleeping crack head on the way in the building or hanging in the lobby”
