“---- is the worst landlord that I have had to date; she will constantly harass you through email and text. Also she only resorts to threats and is incompetent to have any form of decent human interaction. The walls are paper thin so you will have to hear your neighbors argue and our ceiling caved in from the 2nd time of our AC going out which took months to fix both times. The cost to live here is not worth it especially for having to deal with how rude ---- is. Don't live here, I repeat do not live here.”

However, there is this family across from our unit, and they scream at each other at least twice a week. Very annoying. After renewing my lease, they said the cleaning team would help us washing the carpet (which never happened). I remember last summer we went about two months without the air conditioner (after the conditioner were working, the panel were left in our living room for way too long). So there is a dusty air conditioner outlook above us in our hallway for another two months. It took the maintenance team very long time to fix anything.”

I tried to get it fixed, but the manager told me they were having 'trouble' with the new water heater 'efficiency regulator'. It was never fixed, despite promises. I went to work with greasy hair many days. I'm moving out today, and found out that the mangers 'lost' my cat deposit documentation, and will not give me back $500 because I can't find my receipt. They knew I had a cat. I have emails about my cat with the management. I told them it was preposterous that they wouldn't return my cat deposit, and the new manager "Tory" told me this: "Let me tell you HOW things are run. We are required BY LAW to replace the carpet whenever a tenant has a cat. So, they really DO cost a lot of money." First off, that is not a law. Secondly, she is defending not giving me my money back for reasons that are clearly not relevant to cat deposits, which are only meant to cover accidental damage. If her imaginary law were real, my cat deposit was not intended to pay for 'mandatory re-carpeting'. Tory makes up lies, she cuts you off in conversation, and then immediately HANGS UP when you argue back at her.”
“Moving to Los Angeles from Singapore, I didn't expect any safety issues - especially when I have been careful to confirm my accommodation at a gated apartment complex - confirmed my temporary sublet at Terrace Trousdale _ which was advertised as gated with surveillance security. Mail Theft - My mail was delivered inside the gated apartment, but left outside of mailbox. Which seems like a common practice because packages that do not fit your mailbox, instead of leaving it at your doorstep - they postal guys leave it outside at the mailbox area. There is a surveillance camera (but I believe it doesn't work). My mail was delivered as per postal tracking record, but it was stolen from my mailbox area. Since its gated, probability is, its stolen by apartment inmates. The crowd is mostly Asian students, 4-6 pax per 2 bed apartment. When I tried to get in touch with management through phone - THEY DO NOT ANSWER THEIR OFFICE PHONE EVER. Tried sending them an email - NO ANSWER. My friend who was in touch with management said - their response was they delete the surveillance recordings every other day, so they cant help with assisting or enquiring on the theft. Worse, they wouldn't even do anything to prevent such mishaps occurring again. They wont take any action, against theft within apartment complex. Who knows there could be a thief or a dangerous inmate who could break into your apartment and you wouldnt even have a CCTV recording to deal with it. Dont even expect any sort of assistance from the building management. First worst experience in the US - never expected this to happen. I felt like I am in a third world country dealing with security/safety issues and irresponsible people. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who cares about a responsible building management and secure living environment.”
