“We are happy to live in the Rochester apartment. The manager is so kind and courteous for us. The maintenance technician alway fixes the issues of our room quickly. We are satisfied with everything. If you search the leasing apartment, we absolutely recommend the Rochester apartment.”
— 10959 ROCHESTER AVE · LOS ANGELES“I have been here at the Rochester Apartments for a very long time because it is a wonderful place to live. It is near shopping and transportation and the management staff is wonderful. I will continue to live here as long as it is affordable.”
— 10959 ROCHESTER AVE · LOS ANGELES“If you want to feel safe and not have to worry about robbery and vandalism do not live here. No security. New Management doesn't respond and therefore doesn't care. Its truly sad because this company used to have a good team.”
— 3610 MIDVALE AVE · Palms“All staffs of Rochester apartment are gentle and kind for the residents. This apartment is alway clean and safe. It is very comfortable for us to live in. I can recommend this apartment for all people who is taking the survey of apartments!”
“This community is so far so good. Cleaning and quiet. It's safe. I like this one. The apartment looks like new. Everything is going well. It makes me relax. I feel goo in there. But the shortage is the a little experience.”
— 10959 ROCHESTER AVE · LOS ANGELES“The Rochester offers renovated apartments with nice layouts in a prime location. The size of the building is ideal. The management staff is very nice, but the owner appears to be solely focused on the bottom line, no matter what. They have raised rents so high that the building is now primarily very affluent foreign students who can afford to pay $4,000 for a one bedroom.”
— 10959 ROCHESTER AVE · LOS ANGELES“RW Selby is more concerned with the appearance of the building than the actually people who want to make this their home. There are on going water issues (several times in a month I can be without hot water) AND you pay for everyone's usage”
— 10959 ROCHESTER AVE · LOS ANGELES“This apartment is very safety, clean and comfortable apartment. There are many restaurants and grocery store near this apartment. The view from rooftop is very beautiful. I will recommend this apartment to someone who work or study at UCLA.”
— 10959 ROCHESTER AVE · LOS ANGELES“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Rochester. As a grad student at UCLA, the location is great and I always enjoy coming home to my apartment after a long day. It is also nice to have fellow students and young professionals in the building.”
— 10959 ROCHESTER AVE · LOS ANGELES“This is a nice place. It has great customer service and high-level utilities. The district is beautiful and quiet. It is near UCLA. It has fountain and pool. It provides Daily Bruins. The manager is always with smile.”
— 10959 ROCHESTER AVE · LOS ANGELES“The area the building is in is quite beautiful. lot's of trees and greenery. There is a large park with tennis courts , basketball courts , community pool and soccer fields, plus an expansive playground for children. Police are quick to come if there is trouble. UCLA is7 to 8 blocks away and within walking distance.”
— 10959 ROCHESTER AVE · LOS ANGELES“Lovely rooftop with pool and grill, clean building with a beautiful exterior fountain and nice lobby. Includes lockers for packages and security of buzzing into the building. Spacious studio with half divider walls make it feel much larger!”
— 10959 ROCHESTER AVE · LOS ANGELES“The maintenance staffs are quite helpful and responsive. The rent is a bit high but acceptable. The appliance inside the apartment can be better, e.g. light bulbs, food disposer, etc. The common space appliance is ok since we just had a renovation.”
— 10959 ROCHESTER AVE · LOS ANGELES“The staff is wonderful and very generous. The manager is incredible and very good at her job. She deserves an immediate raise, if not several. I would also suggest giving her an assistant so that her extraordinary work can be supported.”
— 10959 ROCHESTER AVE · LOS ANGELES“Move in was very easy and property manager ruby was exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable. Very pleased with the apartment so far and would definitely recommend to friends as well. Good location and have felt safe so far.”
— 10959 ROCHESTER AVE · LOS ANGELES“The maintenance is pretty good, and the staffs are very friendly. The location is perfect to live surrounding all markets we love (i.e., whole foods, trader joe's, ralphs and targets). Highly rated restaurants are in walking distance, and also the freeway(405) is 1 min away from this apartment. Neighbors are quite and friendly. I have never had any issues with bugs as well which are commonly happened in the old apartment in Los angeles area.”
— 10959 ROCHESTER AVE · LOS ANGELES“This place is a DUMP do not live here. My closet in the bedroom has had a ceiling leak twice. Apparently it is the AC but who really knows because the building, despite multiple emails, has never actually tried to fix it. The first time I had over a THOUSAND dollars of damage and the building REFUSED to pay for anything. I asked simply for them to pay the dry cleaning fees but they refused. Not that it would've mattered because dry cleaning didn't even help with the damage. Also, when we first rented out our unit, we were told that there was a burn damage on the kitchen counter from the previous tenants. We were promised that it would be addressed before we moved in. On move in day, the building maintenance guy comes up with a sharpie to fix our counter. I was very confused but I let him in. Sure enough, he went over to the counter, and used the sharpie to color the damaged counter top because apparently the manufacturer of the countertop material had ran out of the color we needed. Any other building would've just replaced all of the countertops. I had to beg and plead with the building to replace the counters. Oh and the manufacturer of the countertop never actually ran out of the exact material we needed, the building is just cheap and did not want to pay for it. Seriously, save yourself a lot of money and do not live here. The Westwood Riviera across the street is excellent and the management is great. Please do not rent from RW Selby, they do not care about you and they will not take care of you.”
— 10959 ROCHESTER AVE · LOS ANGELES“Only just moved in one week ago. The apartment is beautiful, though it appears to have been vacant for a few months and the AC was not and still is not working (team has been responsive, seems to be a difficult fix). The complex is going through extensive renovations presumably stalled by the pandemic, so there is still a lot of construction around and some growing pains. The property manager also just changed (have not interacted with new one)”
— 10959 ROCHESTER AVE · LOS ANGELES“Good place to live. A bit pricey, but good location. Probably a good balance between affordability and quality compared to other apartments in the area. Definitely a well kept place in general. It is a bit of a setback to not have a private washing machine and dryer in-apartment, considering the price of units. But that is a minor setback and quite ignorable.”
— 10959 ROCHESTER AVE · LOS ANGELES“I visit UCLA for one year. The location is very convenient. Good access to UCLA and other places by public transportation. There are several supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The neighbors are quiet and safe. Staffs are very helpful. As I am from a foreign country I know almost nothing about getting to start a new life when I move in. They give me great help.”
— 10959 ROCHESTER AVE · LOS ANGELES“It is really an excellent apartment. I like it. It is clean and quiet, you can live in without distribution. The staffs are kind and they even have a part for us. The transportation is very convenient, especially to UCLA. Finally, it is a little expensive.”
— 10959 ROCHESTER AVE · LOS ANGELES“I've moved to LA from TOKYO, JAPAN. I think this area is very safe, and comfortable, good climate place. This apartment is very clean and has a lot of apparatus. I would greatly recommend this apartment.”
— 10959 ROCHESTER AVE · LOS ANGELES“It was so great living at Rochester! The management is so consistently friendly (Rita specifically) and I really appreciated the events that she had throughout the year. Truly worth living here just to have her as a host. Also, the maintenance staff is amazing! They're always so punctual and they never waste your time. I would recommend the Rochester to anyone.”
— 10959 ROCHESTER AVE · LOS ANGELES“Great place to stay. It has many stores around and just 5 walk minutes from the UCLA. The apartments are awesome and the service fast and professional. Just the rent are a little bit high. But anything else is perfect.”
— 10959 ROCHESTER AVE · LOS ANGELES“I have loved living here especially with the current management and will continue if the rent does not become unaffordable. I live on the 5th floor and this floor has mostly long term older people and that works very well.”
— 10959 ROCHESTER AVE · LOS ANGELES“Nice community near UCLA and Westwood. Expensive even for an expensive area. Rooftop pool is a very good feature. Apartments are comfortable and well-maintained. Some features could use an update, particularly the bathroom area.”
