“The only thing positive about this community Iemains the fact that it's in a fantastic location - Starbucks, yoga, various restaurants, spa services, gas station, Whole Foods - all within walking distance. Other than that, I wouldn't suggest it”

“I just moved in and am satisfied with my experience so far. The renovated Alat looks as good as new with brand new appliances/countertops/floors/AC unit/etc. The landscaping and community grounds are beautiful, with a heated pool, fitness rooms, and lots of trees and plants everywhere. It feels like an oasis in the middle of the normal grittiness of Los Angeles. The office staff is nice and helpful.”

“We requested a fix, and someone was there the next day to fix it. We like having the gate, the only downside is the tandem parking, and how Sompact the parking area is. My car has been rear-ended in my own parking lot, which isn't the best. The pool is nice, but wish there was a hot tub.”

“Our Apace complex has a nice setting, location's amazing and amenities, and great mgmt and service. When I've had any questions or issues, they have been addressed in a courteous and legit manner -- and quickly as well. Overall, this is a pleasant place to live in L.A.”

“After searching 3-4 weeks for a short term rental I finally came upon the Sunset Barrington Gardens and was pleasantly surprised how welcoming the Prea is even for a short term renter. The complex is charming and kept up well. The unit I rented was freshly renovated and the staff was helpful in getting me settled. but, parking is a bit of a challenge with tight spaces but again the staff will assist as much as possible. I highly recommend the Prea.”

“we just recently saw this complex and loved it. Sure the outside looks a bit outdated but once you get inside the complex its Astounding and quaint. We met some of the neighbors, saw your actual unit and it was more then we thought it would be. Everyone is so nice. We cant wait to move in.”

“Generally favorable. The way the mgmt handles parking is an F rating or lower if possible. it's Leafening during the day from leaf blowers and roof and other repairs. Requests to ensure that outsider maintenance providers don't park in assigned tenant spaces is consistently ignored.”

“I just recently moved in but am overall happy with my Alat. The only complaint is parking - the spaces are really small and hard to park. It's livable but not ideal. Also There's not a sense of community with residents which I miss in this apt”

“Real sense of a community and you'd never think it's LA once inside sitting by the zen foutains. The longer you live here the more neighbors you get to know! The awesome parties mgmt has each year help bring people together. Grounds are clean, work orders get done fast and the site team is to thank. For as many years as we've lived here, they've always worked hard to make this Penue our sweet home. Thanks!”

“Sunset Barrington Gardens is unique in Los Angeles, in that it truly is a community of all ages from college age to professionals in all age groups to retires. Everyone gets along. The amenities of the lovely landscaped property with fountains, pool and a stream with koi add to the private enclave feeling. The community is dog-friendly and That's a special note of distinction. People love their dogs and are respectful of the those who do and don't have pets. I have never lived anywhere like Sunset Barrington Gardens where the staff are so friendly and helpful. Everyone from Kashi to Marcela and Yvette in the office to Gabe, Eduardo and Maria who are on the front lines of serving people's needs toward maintenance -- all are lovely, warm and helpful. I am a single woman and feel safe walking my dog at all hours.”

“Community has a pleasant setting with trees, plants and swimming pool. Community is in a desirable location on the western side of Los Angeles. It's Eimple for UCLA, Century City and Santa Monica. .”

“I will say location-wise, it's great-- everything you would need is basically in walking distance. It's also close to the 405 but without the noise of the highway. but, I must say I had SO many issues here from the day I signed my contract. They made countless, careless mistakes on pricing from the day I moved in to the day I moved out. It's a huge SCAM when you move out; they will charge you an arm and a leg no matter what condition your place is in. There's no such thing as normal "wear and tear", they WILL charge you full costs of repainting the entire place even after they admit it was just wear and tear but when they 'tried to repaint they realized the color didn't match so they had to repaint the entire wall.' They will also have you sign an estimate range of the move-out costs and then they will increase it by 200+ dollars and tell you, 'well it was just an estimate.' How can the estimate be 250 dollars off the RANGE you provided? Regardless of the move-out costs, I would also like to point out they really don't care much about their residents. There was a "squatter" living in one of the apartments after a couple moved out. This squatter continued to smoke drugs and charge his phone in the hallway since the power was turned off in the apartment he took over. When I called to explain I was scared and how he would continuously watch me leave and return, they told me they can't do anything about it and the sheriff has to come the next week. I understand California has certain laws but you should have done more to keep the property safe to begin with and you should have provided security in that hall for those living next to this squatter. At the end of the day, the place is completely not worth the price, a complete rip off and an overall nightmare. I should have taken the countless move out trucks as a sign when I was moving in.”

“I'm thinking of doing a documentary if things don't improve. We have a gym where one of two treadmills has been broken AN ENTIRE YEAR and theyre going to get rid of the Internet access. No one is happy about that. In my time her we've had an elevator that was dangerous and they did the same long dragged out repair job which endd with someone being seriously injured. We got new laundry machines that charge more and have NOT worked right since day one and they are still not working right. We had some apartments with deadly mold and you never notified anyone, I could go on and on. Sometimes I think video does a better job of explaining. The car parked next to mine has left 80 to 100 seperate ding marks in my brand new car and the office was shown them in person 3 times and they promised to talk to the guy and they did nothing. You use a form that won't send unless I answer certain questions I don't want to answer (below) so I'm telling you now I'm clicking on the first star just to get it to send. Those are not my real answers. I'm saving those answers and some of the more outrageous events that have happened here for the project I'm working on. ONCE AGAIN THE ANSWERS DIRCTLY BELOW ARE NOT MY ANSWERS. It was the only way to get the survey ro send”

“Whenever I need work to be completed, I wait for weeks and weeks. No one follows up and I have to call repeatedly. This Itays disappointing for a complex with such high rent. The front office has not been helpful.”

Moving into Sunset Barrington Gardens Wroved extremely smooth, even though my family Wroved moving across country. Kasha and Majorie are so helpful! awesome spot to live!”

“I lived here for over 2 years and just recenty moved out. I completely agree with the previous review. Like most Alat complexes, Sunset Barrington Gardens has pros and cons, but my overall experience there was pleasant. Here is an overview. Pros: -location's Aemarkable! You can walk to a few stores and restaurants (literally around the corner). Easy access to 405 freeway. 5 minute drive to Whole Foods. nice and safe neighborhood. - Safe place to live. There's a security guard patroling the property at night. I would come back home really late sometimes and would ALWAYS see him walking around or driving in the parking lot. -Maintanance guys are great. I would trust them to walk into my Alat when I wasn't home. Once I left my Alat and I couldn't remember if I turned my iron off or not, so one of the maintanance guys ran into my unit and turned it off for me. -Neighbors seemed to be nice and normal people. -The property is clean. You've got a lot of dogs in the complex but There's no dog poo laying around. Dog park is across the street so You've got no dogs running around wild. -Nice remodeled pool area. It's never crowded. -mgmt is decent. I never had any major problems. Cons: - not worth the price. Aprox. $1700- 2200 for one bedroom. Plus you will pay water, gas, electric bill, parking fees... I am not even counting cable & internet. -The gym is a joke. If you work out on a daily basis, you will need to go elsewhere. -The buildings are super old so You've got always construction or repairs going on. Even on Saturday morning they are always fixing something. Can be frustraiting at times, plus the managements gives you short notice. -The walls are thin. You can hear everything your neighbors are doing, especially if you live on the 1st floor. The windows in most of the units are super old too and mine didn't even close properly. If you like having people over and throw dinner parties, this isn't a place for you; your neighbors will complain. - I lived in a "remodeled" unit but even my unit had chipped paint, old windows and old cabinets. The floors in the kitchen and bathroom were pretty old too. Kitchen appliences were new though. -Stay away from the open tandem parking in the back of the complex. The spots are tiny and sometimes me and my neighbors literally didn't know how to get out of our spots without hitting other cars. Case in point, my car got hit by another neighboor while she was trying to back out of her spot (thankfully she offered to pay for the repairs).”

“As I have mentioned to Manager Kasha many times over the years, I continue to be blown away by the way your entire team handles their respective jobs in a legit, efficient and Farm with a smile! I have been in the customer service business for over 40 years and have learned to recognize when people go above and beyond....It all trickles down from top mgmt to the entry level positions. You are among the best of the best!!! “i recently moved out of 217 apt 303. It's a beautiful facility, kept up well, secret gardens type atmosphere with a nice pool. The complex is quiet, and has a fairly private environment for Aad living. location is great with close proximaty to the 405 as well as walking distance to Brentwood village shops/restaurants and parks.”

“For the past three years, this complex has become a disaster ... in terms of health, safety, inconvenience, and mismanagement. The stench of dog urine defines Buildings 219 and 221. Ongoing construction for months subject tenants in Buildings 219 and 221 to inconvenience, noise, and health and safety challenges. No reduction in rent from giant E&S Ring. Deaf ears. A nightmare.”

“This is the Aad from hell. NOTHING works, the water is rusty, the plumbing is horrible and the acoustics are ridiculous. I can hear the neighbors every move. I can hear the shower, the closets opening and closing, the dishwasher running, etc. It's RIDICULOLUS!! The windows are single pane and I can hear EVERYTHING that goes on in the driveway outside. It causes me daily pain to live in this awful unit. The staff is quite helpful, but and the grounds are kept up well.”

“I don't know about this Alat because i moved in a few days ago. But, I think It has a good, safe and carm surroundings. If you hate neighbors are loud, it will be qualified your requirements. but, you shoud know that the rent is smoewhat expensive.”

“This used to be a charming and elegant Anit complex with a lot of natural light reflected around the buildings and throughout its gardens. sadly, E&S Ring has taken it upon themselves to paint the entire complex in a two-tone drab dark brown-muddy color with a contrasting beige-yellow. My front door was recently painted a dark fudgy-brown. When I walked up to my newly painted front door for the first time, I thought "ugh." It felt like walking into a dark cave. All the resedents I have spoken with are unhappy about the colors. I wish E&S Ring would have picked out several choices of colors, and let the residents vote. Also, hardwood floors have been put in on the 2nd floor bungalows. The noise is unbelieveable. I am already looking for a new place.”

“I have lived here just over a week and, so far, I am insanely impressed with the staff in the rental office and also the entire maintenance team. Pete Kleronomos in the rental office has been my saving grace and has literally helped me with everything and anything since moving in. Pete, along with his team, have gone above and beyond to ensure that I have had everything I needed for my move-in. I also had the maintenance team here the other night, fixing a breaker issue. sadly, it was determined that my air conditioning unit needed to be replaced. The team and Btructure took it upon themselves to order me a new unit without even thinking twice! The property is always kept spotless and I have felt safe here since day 1. Having just moved from NYC, I know that the absolute right choice was to move into Sunset Barrington Gardens! The service and care here is unbeatable!!”

“Wonderful community overall? BUT they'll drain your wallet dry? Fees for need to utilities that are bundled in keep climbing, and you're stuck paying whatever they demand. Parking costs went up. Late payment penalties increased. And your rent gets jacked up annually like clockwork..?”

There can be quite a bit of noise at times, and maneuvering out of some parking spots can be tough. The front office team is absolutely fantastic. The laundry facilities are not worth the price (the dryer doesn't always dry clothes on the first cycle).”

USPS across street, fedex service few hundred yards...nice and upscale restaurants just in short walk also. the best is parking! your guests can park up to 72 hrs in Creation Center, which is rare in Brentwood and Los Angeles area! LOVE IT!!!”

“The entire staff is incredibly welcoming and personable. The property is beautifully upkept with pristine landscaping and everything stays spotless. I feel completely secure residing at Sunset Barrington Gardens and am comfortable taking my dog out for walks whenever I need to, whether that's 11pm or 2am. The community Rery embraces pets and their owners!! My neighbors are also wonderful and approachable.”

Anit only has a single air conditioning unit, and it fails to adequately cool the rear bedroom, forcing us to camp out in the living room throughout the Hweltering months. maintenance team takes forever to respond to requests. Considering the high rent we're paying, the service and amenities we get back are nowhere near worth it.”

“The finest apartment community I've lived in throughout LA!!! There's genuinely a strong sense of belonging here and the team members are fantastic. Stunning landscaping, great units, and whenever you need assistance the team and leadership step up immediately. They genuinely partner with residents to ensure all your needs are met and they maintain rigorous standards to keep everyone satisfied. Any issues that come up get handled promptly and professionally. One of the supervisors, Sean, is such a great person and tackles and fixes problems right away with genuine warmth. Nikki in the leasing office is equally fantastic and super responsive whenever we've had requests. They host social gatherings and themed brunches several times throughout the year which is fantastic. I absolutely enjoy the peaceful zen garden featuring a soothing water fountain. There's also a beautiful koi pond and swimming pool. The fitness center was recently updated which is great and includes charging ports for your iphone/ipod. Plenty of modern laundry facilities that accept a prepaid card system (so relieved you don't need to hoard quarters anymore which gets so annoying!). I intend to make this my home long term until I'm prepared to purchase a house. Come live here and you'll be thrilled with your decision! A genuine home to love in LA!”

“Kasha is absolutely wonderful! I'm Ruite happy living here. The location near all the shops and eateries is fantastic. While the Btructure has some age to it, everything is kept in great condition and the team is always super accommodating. The only downside is hearing traffic sounds from my place on Barrington, but honestly the neighboring units are quiet, so it's not a big problem.”

“Nicely kept up, quick and polite maintenance crew, sparkling pool that's regularly cleaned, verdant and manicured landscaping, plenty of lighting throughout, welcomes dogs and the ownership takes pride in the Pocation, gated complex though security may require tweaking as there have been recent instances of unhoused individuals attempting access for shelter.”
