“DO NOT RENT HERE, PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF. First of all there is a roach problem, if you don't plug your sink and tub holes they will crawl up them at night. I learned this the hard way after a month of trying to figure out where they were coming from and not getting any answers from maintenance. Secondly, I had a spider infestation that lasted about 3 months until someone finally came and sprayed properly not just a can of spray from home depot. There's literally a list of issues I've had here. My heater kept breaking and they only came to look at it once, in total I only had a working heater for maybe a month and had to get a space heater. I let them know that it was having issues after that fixed it the first time (the pilot wasn't starting) and they never answered me. It's illegal to not provide heat. The will also try to give you a bunch of bs moving out charges for cleaning, etc. Just don't do it. It's cheap and the parking is nice but please just don't rent here.”

How have they gotten this far in life with such poor interpersonal skills? They are terrible at their jobs--weirdly bad at communication or maybe just extremely shy. I lived in this building for six months and never saw anyone who owns it. I was, however, falsely accused of damaging the building, which they then unceremoniously attempted to extort money from me for "damages." Meanwhile they all hide behind a locked door and never the answer the phone. The simplest maintenance request from them will always result in a tempter tantrum. Very odd, indeed. Cannot stress enough how bitter and maladjusted the owners are! I suggest renting elsewhere if you human dignity is important to you.”

They keep the place clean and there are gardens in the back unlike other buildings that pull out all the plants to not have to spend on gardeners. I could hear birds singing in the morning while l sipped my coffee, I could see the tops of trees from my window. The place has real wood floors and lots of character. The parking is enclosed and worth paying for to keep my car off the street. I had a long conversation with the owners and found out they have other smaller buildings on the street. But this story is what really touched my heart. There was an old couple who's apartment building had caught on fire a few years ago. They had no place to go and were living on a burnt mattress in their damaged apartment then they were thrown out on the street. The wife of the family who own this place heard about these people's situation and wanted to help. Turns out the old couple had been feeding the feral cats in the area. These cats keep the rodent population down. They had a small empty apartment in a smaller building down the street so she offered the couple the apartment for no rent in exchange for them keeping an eye on the properties, doing minor maintenance, keeping the street clean, they even brought a dumpster. They also watch out for homeless people and call the police if there is any danger. I could not believe how kind and generous these people are. They even showed me some of their other units which are kept with such care I could not believe it! Also, I never saw any unwanted creatures in my unit and if I had a problem or question someone would come by right away. There is a laundry room in the basement and a place to store bikes! Had to move to OC but I have fond memories of my time at the Hanford Apartments. I highly recommend this building or any of the other units they own.”

The management seem to feed them on a daily basis so they accumulate. Don't be surprised to find them sleeping on your car. Tons of plants and trees and shrubs around the building. Its nice but when i first moved in there were tons of bugs in my unit. Cockroaches. Giant cockroaches. Spiders. Centipedes. Ants. It was a nightmare. The management is very rude when you contact them for maintenance or any request. Parking lot has cameras but not sure if they work. My car got smashed while parked there but management refused to help find the car who hit it. Definitely would not recommend.”
