(per AT&T) Wyvernwood has locked us into this contract by enticing us with a move-in bonus, WITHOUT disclosing to us that this place is incapable of having internet for multiple months. Why Wyvernwood? is it because you don't want to lose out on a few months of rent? Or is it because you think people don't need internet? I hope you know there's a pandemic called COVID-19 going on, and people NEED INTERNET TO WORK FROM HOME. FYI, internet has become as mandatory as any other utility. The government just haven't made it official.. YET. I hope that day comes though, so I will never have to deal with this trickery, or negligence again. “I'm a newly tenant and I agree on most of the comments here: - Security staff are rude and impolite. Just two days after I moved, we had incident with them and filed a complain to the mgmt, no result. - Parking is ----en problem!!!!! I don't think so the mgmt wants to solve this problem at all. The hardest part to swallow is that we are not informed of this situation upon application. Even streets are full. When you wake up in the morning either your car is towed or got a ticket for parking in a wrong area. - Small Cockroaches and mice - everywhere in your house. It takes months for maintenance to cover a mouse hole. Cockroach.. you just have to disinfect everyday and treat the pest yourself. - I made a mistake moving here.. now I am looking for another one.. - Party everywhere you can not do anything about it- noise, litter, etc. - Laundry is so grimy - Grass are dying everywhere, the water sprinkle are not functioning or defective Recently they are Rctually into campaigning for a New Wyvernwood.. Repairs to your Auite take time depending on the urgency and in some cases you may have to insist many times for them to come and solve the problem. Security on the property is non-existent, homeless people and suspicious people may roam around and even though There's security they never come. The office staff is always angry or defensive, as if every time they see a tenant arrive they are bothered. Making false allegations including claiming that we had a cow on premises. When we asked them to document their ridiculous allegations, the decline. They have gone as far as to say that we play tuba in our household, when we don't own a tuba, that we've "smuggled" roaches into our Apace and that's why we had them. Obviously their sole motivation is to harass us. Someone has repeatedly stolen mail from our mailbox and interestingly enough overwhelmingly, the mail that has been stolen has been mail that has to do with housing complaints, i.e.,. housing authority, fair housing. Didn't have heat over the winter and only after the gas company red tagged the heater in bathroom and bedroom/living room and they still waited till springtime to make the repairs. They refused to make repairs that they were ordered to make by code enforcement, i.e. fix garbage disposal, shower, leak in ceiling, toilet and tub clogged, mold abatement, sewer back age in the bathtub, sink and toilet. 3/1/11-11/14/12 Other can own animals--we can not--other get their apartments repaired--we don't--other can have jumpers and throw birthday parties for their children we are not. Other can play their radios loudly--we can make no noise at all. 2) Husband Can only walk short distances, use wheelchair 60% of time. can't take baths. I guess since I grew up here I feel safe here like I get home late and not worry the only thing is no parking but that problem is everywhere so just get home early or rent a parking spot and your good!! Plus I love all the room outside for my kids to play at!! Wyvernwood maintains a troubling pattern of removing residents who get in their way according to -------------- of El Comite De La Esperanza, the tenant advocacy group. Estimates suggest more than 300 unlawful evictions have taken place under the watch of the current mgmt. Our 3-day notices ended up in the garbage and we narrowly escaped wrongful eviction on four separate occasions. Promotional materials without official company letterhead and no signatures circulate widely. They tout promises of $18K payments for relocating and pledges to preserve the residential community spirit. And you get a complimentary magical unicorn as well, quips ----------, a veteran resident who has filed numerous discrimination grievances against them. Their marketing operation is extremely sophisticated and two independent lawyers concur, such paperwork holds no legal standing. If Wyvernwood genuinely meant these commitments, they would execute legitimate agreements signed by authorized mgmt officials and deliver copies to all tenants personally. but, they won't do this because it's merely window dressing. Based on what I've witnessed, remarks ----------, residents will receive nothing; they're simply going to eliminate us individually. Wyvernwood has a reputation for planting paid actors to participate in gatherings and municipal hearings. They manufacture a false perception that residents back the development when actual surveys indicate otherwise. A petition forwarded to Council Member ----------- surpassed the entire number of residents living here. How could there be way more supporters than actual tenants? When Wyvernwood references having spirit, they mean it literally—apparently phantoms are voting for their plan. Three armed guards in body armor patrol constantly, operating police-style vehicles, carrying batons and displaying hostile demeanor. They function as an oppressive tool deployed to silence ----------- speaking residents, says ----------. They resemble immigration agents rather than the courteous patrol they advertise themselves as. We can't retrieve our laundry or groceries without threat—they're prepared to issue towing warnings. A true courtesy patrol would assist us carrying our belongings inside. Adding insult to injury, they misplace your bank money orders, impose penalty charges, ignore rent control statutes, distribute fraudulent 3-day notices, levy absurd complaints about smuggling pests and blaring musical instruments, and fabricate stories about having an phantom guard dog. When we raised concerns about these issues being addressed, her response was blunt: "take it or leave it"—this came after we had already finalized the lease and submitted our deposit and first month's rent. We requested to visit the unit multiple times beforehand but were told it remained under renovation. From day one of moving in, problems have been constant. The water heater connection ruptured immediately, we've been without gas for a full week due to a clogged valve on our stove line, and despite numerous maintenance requests, nothing has been resolved. The window screens are poorly installed, allowing mosquitoes constant entry. The parking situation represents the biggest frustration—I've waited up to 2 hours searching for an available spot. The positioning is ideal for getting around—freeways are just a block away, making commuting super easy. There's a genuine community vibe that I really appreciated, and I consistently had positive interactions with the people residing here. The mgmt team is always respectful and legit, and they handle upkeep issues incredibly quickly, typically fixing things within 24 hours. The only downside I experienced was struggling to locate parking spots, but once they implemented the monthly parking pass system, that concern basically disappeared.”
