“Walls are too thin. Neighbor blasts music every week that is literally booming and vibrating through my apartment. Yesterday it lasted till 3 AM. I have told security and management MULTIPLE TIMES for this repeated offense and they have not properly addressed this issue. Lease states that if this offense is repeated more than 3x then there will be legal repercussions. But nope. Management has dismissed this issue and has not taken it seriously. This has been the most stressful 7 months of my life. The apartment is filled with degenerates who are inconsiderate and downright rude with no care for peaceful living. If you need a cheap apartment and have no care for noise level then go for it. But if you want a peaceful, quiet apartment then please don't live here.”

That same day I saw the 2 roaches I had plumbing work done because the bathtub already was filling with water. I am attaching a photo of my new VERY CLEAN & sterilized apartment due to COVID-19 sterilized apartment so that one can see it was my behavior that attracted the pests. After maintenance came in and half heartedly solved the problem by finally giving me a bathtub drain stopper. Due to the fact that COVID-19 shelter in place is happening right now bleach is out of supply at stores. Maintenance said they would pour bleach down the drain but never returned with the bleach. I had to suggest to maintenance that holes under the bathroom sink be caulked - he asked me to point them out and I am not an expert in this. After maintenance and the painter who applied the caulk left, I discovered more broken bathroom fixtures in the bathroom where the roaches could be coming from. Within the first week I've been living in my new apartment scared and creating a fortress between the bed and the bathroom door with boric acid powder and an old rag at the bottom of the door. Every night I've been pouring vinegar down every drain in the house and bought boric acid at the store with my own money. 3 days after finding a roach in my covers with me at 3:30am I discovered another roach in my bathroom eating the boric acid I bought. I specifically asked about roaches prior to signing the lease. I moved in Saturday March 14th and today is 4am Sunday March 22nd and I am living in a nightmare. I can't find RHB email and the leasing agent who leased me the apartment has told me to stop writing to her with issues. This apartment is inhospitable and untenable I feel trapped in a nightmare. BEWARE FUTURE TENANT!!!!”
“I moved in this place in 2018. Ever since my balcony window never fixed although my bathtub is peeling off. Sometimes garage door doesn't even close for the whole night. Now they even changed the management so now if I want to pay for rent by online there's fees for it which means I have to walk to the leasing office in the another building to pay for my rent every month. The only reason that I couldn't moved out was because of deposit and moving charges for the new place.”

— 249 S LA FAYETTE PARK PL · Westlake“Con: -Managers are super rude. They don't listen to what you need, and doesn't know what's going on. I was pregnant and live at the top floor, for some reason the air conditioner was broken. It was mid August and the room temperature could go to as high as 97, they said they could only fix that in two or three days. That's crazy! -Fee charge: I lived there for 1 and half year. Last month, I paid the rent on time, but I looked at the subtotal in stead of paying total amount by mistake. They charged me 120 dollars for 30 dollars difference. They explained that they charge 6% based on the total amount, not 30 dollars. They cannot waive or reduce the late fee no matter what! This is the reason I decided to move out. -Elevator always broken. -Horrible and different smell in the building.”
— 249 S LA FAYETTE PARK PL · Westlake“Managers are a shoot or miss. Christy is horrible and not very helpful. She doesn't seem to know what's going on at any time. Jay is great and super helpful. He really listens to what you say and he makes things work to service your needs. Jaimie is a not bad. She's very on task at least. Some apartments are renovated. Walls and windows are a bit thin so you hear a lot, especially in the courtyard area.”

— 249 S LA FAYETTE PARK PL · Westlake“Overall its an ok place to live with problems that can be overlooked such as the water going out, or the elevator not working (maintenance) but we cant forgive them not getting rent right. The basic act of charging the right rent should be a priority for an apartment building. It doent seen so for these guys. The first few months we had to go to the office to find out how much we should pay because they didnt bill us at all. Now they say we didnt pay the deposits, followed by charges that come out of thin air. Currently we are trying to contact them about the continual problem of the rent bill being wrong every month.... I dont trust them any more.”
— 249 S LA FAYETTE PARK PL · Westlake“The apt office manager and the maint staff is horrible. The worst manager I ever talked with. The maint staff can't fix anything right, they just put bandade on the problem, no wonder this place is falling apart. This place is overpriced, old, run down place. Only few things inside has been remodeled but they claim otherwise. Run as far away as possible from this place. You will regret every moment you live here. Good luck trying to contact their main headquarter Starpoint Properties, non-existance.. their contact email is no good, they are a sham of an operation. DON'T JUST TAKE MY WORD FOR IT, READ ALL THE OTHER RATINGS OR REVIEWS ABOUT THIS PLACE. IT'S THE SAME.”
