This has been my personal experience. The neighborhood is fine. The apartment walls are paper thin. My apartment appears to have a hidden listening device and surveillance camera in it. I had my underwear on and went from the bathroom to the closet and a bright light flashed (camera light) and at least 3-5 times a day if I move from my desk to the living room or kitchen, someone will knock on the wall or ceiling or floor and also in the morning when I wake up before I make any noise still in bed...the minute I move, someone will knock on the wall or ceiling or floor. Oh yeah, I forgot to say, the management keeps sending notices to the tenants about someone smoking cannabis or someone is complaining about noise. I believe this building is not up to construction code because the walls are just too thin. If you knock on the wall it appears to be think, but you can literally hear your neighbors laughing, talking, farting or sneezing. I kid you not!!! The rent is too expensive for the poor quality. These are not real wood floors and they are not laid on the floor correctly. Don't get me wrong, everybody needs to work, but for sure they used unlicensed contractors for their carpentry jobs. This residential building can't be legally coded. You can also hear the elevator as it moves up and down the shaft. You can hear when other tenants open and shut (slam) their doors. There's something very unusual about the apartment building. Air on the side of caution.

Been living here less than a year, will be moving out when lease is up. I think there's something funny going on with the reviews here, there's a large number of extremely positive reviews all posted around the same time, and they don't sound like real people. Kind of suspicious. Anyway, it's an OK building. I think it's a bit pricey for what you get, but it's Lakeview, so that's true anywhere in the area. Some apartments are renovated, some are older so you might have things like outdated faucets/fixtures, but everything works. I haven't had any major maintenance issues with heat, A/C, plumbing, etc. No problems with pests in the building as far as I know. Halls and common areas are cleaned regularly. There's only 2 elevators, and they're very old and very slow. The laundry room doesn't have enough machines for this size building in my opinion, and it always seems like 1-2 machines are broken despite multiple reports to maintenance staff. Mix of good and bad. My biggest problem is noise. Oh my goodness, the walls are so thin. You'll hear everything, so it's going to be kind of a dice roll on the neighbors you end up with. I made a point to emphasize to the leasing agent who showed me the place that I don't like noise and asked what it's like, and he kind of avoided answering directly. Learned my lesson I guess, deal breaker for me unfortunately.. Noise above/below hasn't been an issue, I'm not sure if it's because the concrete blocks it or I just have quieter people above/below.

My wife and I have lived here for 4 years. No plans to move! The location is perfect for both of us and we love our apartment. We really appreciate that they put in a business center! My wife is taking college classes online and it was a huge benefit to have a place where she could do schoolwork outside of the apartment.

My apartment is awesome. Huge bedroom! The building is great too, it has a gym so that's really nice. The maintenance staff here is really helpful. John is always available to help and only a phone call away. Thanks John!

Honestly I really love the location of this building. I don't have a car or anything like that, so finding a building close to CTA busses and trains was really important. This building is really easy for public transit. Very walkable!

I love the views in my apartment. I didn't want to live too far downtown so when I found this building I was surprised at the view I got from inside the apartment! My whole living room has a nice wall of windows which makes for some great views of the skyline and the city.

350 Oakdale is awesome. The building is great for CTA access and it also has Press box dry cleaning, which really comes in handy for my suits. My apartment faces south and gets tons of natural light from the windows! Awesome building!
