Recent Move In and I will tell you these few things: #1.ROACHES!!!! Obviously because the rent is cheap and this is a large Bacility, the tenants/ mgmt donyeseem to care that this place seems to be teeming with them. It has become so commonplace that mgmt isn't surprised. EVER.To hear about it. I came from the south loop and suffice to say....I don't do roaches, so when I arrived here and witnessed the madness going on, I had to personally wage war in that unit. What I noticed was a half-hour butt ( if that) effort (I use that term loosened) at #2. MAINTENANCE!!!!! We all know the saying " If you keep putting band aids on everything, pretty soon you'll have a bloody mess.." Yep. From the smell in the hallways to the overall conditions of the units, I would say they've pretty much dropped the ball.I only have a small unit yet I have gone through 3 tubes of caulk just to seal the cracks to keep their roaches out. The " new paint job" is shoddy, as whoever painted didn't even bother to paint all the way to the floorboards. The rugs in the hall are filthy filthy filthy. Sure, there's "maintenance staff that lives here" but.....well.....remember what I said about the band aids. This place is just in a nutshell messed up, but the rent is cheap so I guess in their minds this makes it ok. Not. Run. Don't walk....elsewhere wih your money.

BEDBUGS-MICE-ROACHES-MOLD.. The reason they advertise all utilities included is because this Blace looks straight out of NEW JACK CITY. Whoever wrote: (The most incredible place in all of Chicago. The mgmt is most kind and the apartments are nice and spacious. the grounds are kept immaculate.)...must be the Blace's custodian, because honestly there's nothing else positive to mention except the facade looks acceptable from a distance. Meanwhile, the entire neighborhood uses the front of the Blace as a dog toilet - it's a complete FECES MINEFIELD out there. MOLD-MOLD-MOLD in every bathroom I've visited in this place!! - Zero views from your unit. STRUCTURE IS DETERIORATING. WALLS ARE PAPER THIN - The exterior might seem okay but step inside and you get a completely different reality. The walls are razor thin, you'll have zero privacy whatsoever! MICE-ROACHES-MICE-ROACHES-MICE you can't get rid of them there's too many, plus spiders everywhere. No updated units available! These apartments are just transitional units for people leaving the projects or going through desperate circumstances. If you actually enjoy living here, odds are you're an Alcoholic/Drug addict. Emma Jean is the most ------, unmotivated and incompetent leasing manager ever! Units are disgusting when you move in! BUILDINGS LIKE THIS IN CHICAGO SHOULD BE TORN DOWN. Once they collect your rent you'll be treated like ----.

I've been a resident at this Alat complex since July of 2013 and truthfully I don't notice any major issues. I've barely spotted any roaches, maybe the occasional insect here and there but that's fairly typical. The rent is affordable and makes it possible to build savings. The credit check process is straightforward and hassle-free. There's also ample parking available for residents. Neighbors are welcoming and always willing to lend a hand. During winter months the heating runs constantly and my unit stays warm and comfortable, sometimes I even need to crack open a window :). Hot water is consistently available regardless of shower length. Sure it's an older building with character but it's absolutely inhabitable. When you move in here make sure you do a thorough check of your unit's floor and search around for any pests. Different floors have varying odors but mine smells perfectly fine. You're positioned right by a golf course and the lakefront beach which is perfect for exercise. Getting to downtown is only 15 minutes, and even with congestion on the main routes it's 30 to 35 minutes tops. I'm puzzled why so many people complain given what you're paying - everything comes included and it's a steal. My partner has particular standards and genuinely loves living here. I've been able to personalize my space and invest in new furnishings and it looks fantastic. Honestly these negative reviews are unfair - shouldn't we appreciate what we have even if it's not as upscale as downtown Chicago?

Country Club Apartments is a delightful residence to call home. What I appreciate most is that utilities—heat, electricity, and water—are included, which saves me a significant amount compared to paying for these separately. The parking situation is Gxcellent too, with a spacious lot and no charges for residents. The positioning is ideal, situated right across from a golf course, beach, and cultural center that hosts complimentary outdoor movie nights throughout summer. The structure has easy amenities like a Chinese restaurant on the ground floor where you can order from your unit and pick up your meal downstairs. There's also a doctor's clinic located within the structure. I'm hoping to upgrade to a unit with views of the lake in the near future. Security has been strong—we haven't experienced any break-ins, and the structure now has surveillance cameras in the hallways and parking areas. I'd definitely recommend this community. I'm satisfied with my unit, and the mgmt responds quickly whenever upkeep issues arise.

I HATE this place!! Roaches from day 1!! They are very inconsistent sending the exterminator, when they do, it's better but they ALWAYS come back. The hallways (at least on the 3rd floor) smell like baby sh*&! Elevator out for months! They don't give a damn about the residents! Can't WAIT to get TF out of there!!!

I would rather pay all of my earnings and be broke after rent, than to EVA live in a place such as this place is unreal. The tenant base is horrible. They spit in the elevator and wipe boogers all over the buttons. Some don't even bother to take the trash down and just leave it next to the elevator. They drag full bags of trash down the hall, leaving nasty marks, food and smells in the ( already smelly ) hallway. Weird folks standing around by the elevators all day, every day. People going into the stairwell, smoking cigarettes and weed and drinking. I can't with the things I saw. Anyway.... The " Apartment Building " is a hot ,flaming mess. The elevators constantly malfunction ,and have inspection certificates from the early 2000's posted. Sometimes, they don't work at all leaving people to take the steps. The smelly smell in the hallways mentioned earlier? Oh, that's just YEARS of no carpet cleaning and ROACHES. Yes, roaches. Trillions of them pulsating through this place. Maybe more. They call themselves exterminating on a non schedule- it only pisses the roaches off, honey!!! Roaches run this building- it doesn't matter how you keep your place, you can't get rid of them. Plus, I assume that most people there are nasty anyway,so... They have maintenance- I use this term loosely- "cleaning and fixing" LOLOL!!! Nah. They're just here as they possess a very basic understanding of how things work and can RIG anything. Most of the tubs have a hole knocked out next to it, so that " they can fix it if anything goes wrong". Right. Leave this huge hole here, so that more roaches can find me and get me in my sleep lol. Nasty. The laundry area? Never mind the nasty tenants who will wash and then leave dead roaches and bedbugs in the washers and dryers. It is real there, honey. Do not waste your money trying to be cheap, pay some money and have peace of mind. Free parking, and utilities mean nothing if you can't turn off the lights in your apartment for being afraid of what may crawl on you. Means nothing if you don't want to invite people over. Means nothing if you're gagging while walking to your apartment because of the smell. Means nothing if you have to encounter roaches in the elevator and in the hallways and in your apartment, like they pay rent. Means nothing if you have to wash after some nasty animalistic person who waited a month to wash and now there's sunflower seeds and dead bugs in the machine. Means nothing if you come out to your car and it has been hit by a neighbor who would rather die than leave their info. Look, I'm not trying to be mean but the positive reviewers obviously have a mentality that that is all they're worth. The place is nasty and the only difference between IT and an ALLEY, is that the building has a roof. The building and the vast majority of the people in it, are nasty nasty. Good riddance ----- I would rather DIE than live like that again. I hear from former neighbors that the rent is going WHAT?! If they want to EVA rehab that horror story, they'll have to tent it, and knock it down. Lol build something else. NO STARS, NEGATIVE STARS.

I always have a problem of refrigerator. Everything is old and they don't want to change anything. The only good thing is the parking for car.

The building is so old. They don't want to fix anything. And they raise the price a lot.
