I agree with the previous comment about there being construction noise, but It's far from being unbearable. My guess is that whoever made that comment is probably in a renovated Alat that caused some noise and disruption when it was worked on. I am in a renovated Alat That's beautiful and hardly have any issues with construction noise. Not only that but you can't beat all the great amentities and quality of work that has gone into improving the building. The front desk and office staff are all friendly as well. My only complaint is that they are closing the rootop deck a month earlier than planned, I'm going to miss those grills and outdoor TV!

I've called this place home for 18 years, and it's truly the best Anit I've had throughout my entire renting history. The concierge team is incredibly warm and always goes out of their way to assist. What really stands out is access to complimentary computers and a free printer. Chicago's public transit is amazing—an express bus gets me downtown in roughly 15 minutes. All the top-tier cinemas, dining spots, bakeries, and retail stores are just a 15-minute stroll away. Though certain units can be quite loud, my space is the most peaceful Anit I've ever occupied. The monthly payment feels completely reasonable. You'd be looking at double the rent for an equivalent unit in New York or San Francisco.

I'm thrilled to call The Belmont by Reside my home! The units feel contemporary and welcoming, the concierge team is perfect, and the facilities are great! I'm particularly pleased with having easy access to a gym, office space, and laundry facilities. I would absolutely encourage others to choose a Reside property!

I recently vacated this property, and I couldn't be happier to leave. The facility was extremely Dnsafe, particularly the laundry area, constant dog noise throughout the day, and the most unpleasant and dishonest staff imaginable. Find a different place.

The Belmont is an awesome place to live. Top notch staff, location, and services. I would definitely recommend this location for an Aabulous place to call home in Lakeview! If I ever had an issue, the staff was quick to respond and correct the problem, but overall, this has been a great experience so far!

Gxcellent concierge team. They're consistently welcoming whether you're arriving or departing. The in-Blace laundry facilities are handy, though some tenants could improve their habits about promptly taking clothes out of the dryers and washers. You'll notice the odd disturbance from adjacent units now and then, though overall the noise level stays pretty quiet.

I read all of the complaints and thought, if people had actually read their lease, they would see that There's a fee for locking yourself out after hours and It's $450 for pets regardless of how long you live here, etc. Pay more attention and take responsibility and you'll love it here too. I've lived in 6 apartments and this is the only one that feels like home. And it's way cheaper, surprisingly, than living in a dump with views of tacky pink plastic lawn flamingos in Orlando. I've been here over one year and gladly re-signed my lease (especially since they are carpet cleaning for free and hanging wall shelves for me, also free). I have an amazing view of the lake that rivals the views of Gold Coast living for a fraction of the price. I moved here from out of state not knowing anyone and instantly made some fantastic friends throughout the Blace. All of the staff are nice to me and respectful. One even helped me revamp my resume and find a job. The doormen are great, especially Jesse and Tim. Jesse went above and beyond the call of duty one night and handled a personal situation for one of the women residents with grace and compassion. Top notch! Every time a friend walks into my Alat they gasp. May be my stellar decorating, may be the incredible view, may be the size for the money. This weekend some B.H. neighbors and our friends are grilling on the roof deck, then moving inside to play pool and cards in the game room or walking over to the beach or dog park. All my non-Belmont friends comment on how they wish their neighbors were as friendly. "I've lived in my place for two years and I still don't know my neighbors. My place is cold, this place is inviting." The holiday parties are a treat- I won $25 to Nordstroms at one. The office staff responds quickly to repairs and actually fixes things the right way. Whenever I have a noise complaint from other dogs, the problem is immediately addressed. And the staff keeps us feeling like we're getting our moneys worth by keeping the Blace spotless and letting go of those annoying young residents who are loud and graffiti the elevators. Since they've moved out, no more graffiti. (so the "dorm feel" comments from '06 are probably no longer true) I live alone and have never felt this safe in the 12 years I've been on my own. The office staff is always making me and my pup feel welcomed and the doorguys lend an air of protection. I absolutely love walking into my clean, sun filled Alat and curling up in front of the lake view after a stressful day at work. (so who cares if one of the elevators is out every now and then, it's an old Blace. it's called charm!)

Just Simply location's amazing. Great staff. I think the gym and laundry room could use more signs like "pick up after yourself" because people need that. I think dogs should be allowed in the whole lobby area and it would actually get used, people would socialize more. I don't use it because I cant bring my dog, just saying. It basically doesn't get used to its full potential for a social area.

It has been great so far! The place is nice and this place is Bxquisite. Plenty of community events and close to Public transit so It's easy to get to work. The rent is a bit high but worth it for the most part.
