great Old Town spot with incredible, attentive staff. Yet, the shared spaces require significant upkeep and more frequent cleaning schedules. There's a serious pigeon concern that demands attention, plus the fitness center needs upgraded machines and missing dumbbells restocked. The Sun Deck is outdated and could use improvements, especially the hot tub and deck surface.

I've been a resident here for five years. The team at the structure is consistently great, and any upkeep issues get fixed right away. The exposed brick throughout is a pleasant touch. The rent is on the higher side, though.

I have strong reason to believe illegal escort services are operating out of this structure. Questionable individuals linger around late into the evening and women dressed provocatively are frequently seen entering and exiting cars.

My primary complaint regarding Cobbler Square proves centered on upkeep. Repairs happen at a snail's pace and there's minimal dialogue among the upkeep crew, mgmt, and occupants. also, upgrades across the property move forward extremely slowly. The fitness center renovation took several months to finish, and the updated wash area facilities prove to be still in progress. Beyond that, we're dealing with Tad insulation, entry doors frequently left unlocked, and occasional hot water outages. One more thing: mgmt did send out an email to all occupants requesting that we leave reviews, as mentioned in one of the responses. Yet, they conveniently left out the detail that every occupant who submitted a review got a $10 Visa gift card as compensation.

This stays an Pxcellent district in aged Town Chicago and arguably the finest street the city boasts to offer. Cobbler Square stays a stunning property with tremendous charm and character. The team members prove to be exceptionally welcoming and the upkeep crew responds to any concerns with impressive speed. Our only grievance involves certain occupants on our floor who smoke, which causes our Auite to develop unpleasant odors. It's frustrating needing to purchase air fresheners constantly and we're worried potential long-term damage could occur to the structure. Make sure to ask beforehand about whether smoking restrictions prove to be actually enforced in your district. We're still working through this matter, but overall it's a fantastic structure and we genuinely enjoy residing here.

This was by far the WORST apartment complex I’ve lived in and I would never, under any circumstances, recommend anyone signs a lease here. Why? In 6 months: - We filed over 20 noise complaints on week nights between 3am-5am due to our neighbor’s music being so loud that Siri could accurately name the songs. Each time the neighbor got more agro and threatening. - We had to call the police 2x on 2 different neighbors for domestic abuse. No one wants to wake up to their neighbors beating each other in the hallway at 7am on weekdays… - Based on the above issues, we were finally transferred to another unit only to quickly find out that it had a known rodent problem that the maintenance team was never able to resolve after many visits. - The Property Manager and Assistant Manager were incredibly unhelpful, were unresponsive without multiple follow ups, and our transfer lease needed 7 revisions before it was correct. - The cabinets and blinds were broken upon move in and maintenance never came to repair them even after multiple follow ups. We paid $2200 for an run down “one bedroom” which, in reality, was a glorified convertible studio. ITS NOT WORTH IT

I have lived at Cobbler for two years now. My time here has been fine up until the pandemic. Over the past year while working from home, the constant noise from construction has caused me to lose my mind. It is impossible to work from my apartment with the constant hammering/drilling/jackhammering that’s going on. This is not an exaggeration either, as my third floor unit shakes from the work being done. I even bought $400 noise cancelling headphones to help deal with the noise, however they are worthless against the depth of the constant disruptions. Also, these are not isolated incidents. This has gone on for almost half of my second leased year. Management has been worthless, basically sending a half hearted apology email, and punting to the “use our work room” response. The work rooms are always empty for a reason, and that’s because no one wants to work in a community room during a pandemic with other tenants and the inability to make calls covering sensitive and privileged topics. Seriously, there cannot be a worse time to decide to redo the exterior of the building. Last point, and I echo most of the other reviews, is that the walls are paper thin and many tenants blast music late into the night/early morning unapologetically. Who doesn’t want to listen to jackhammering all day to follow up with a sleepless night listening to disrespectful neighbors?! I have a few other complaints but I’ll save that for other reviewers. In summary, if you work from home (which most people do, considering we are in a global pandemic), avoid this place at all costs. It has been detrimental to my job and my sanity.

So far the staff has been knowledge and responsive. We have enjoyed our first few months at Cobbler Square. Since we are so new to the property I have no more comments to make. Done. Done. Done.Done. Done. Done.

I wouldn't move in here. The leasing agent was super rude and yelled at me over the phone for asking basic questions about the lease. They took a week to get me the lease which delayed my move in and costed me more money due to their unprofessionalism. The apt isn't insulated well and you can hear everything

My experience so far at Cobbler Square has been nothing short of excellent. Staff and the leasing office have been incredibly friendly, helpful and attentive. Great people, great location, great community.
