This building prides itself by saying It's "luxury living." I feel that they either need to live in a REAL high-end, well-managed building to know what that means, or to read a dictionary. The mgmt is poorly trained and ill-equipped to attend to resident concerns. No one ever seems to know What's going on when something goes wrong, or a clearly fabricated response is given.

I absolutely love my apartment at NEXT Apartments! The space is so open and airy, with fantastic appliances and plenty of natural light. The building itself is gorgeous and well-kept, and the amenities really stand out. I get in a great workout in the fitness room, then cool off in the pool. The outdoor grills and lounge areas are perfect for unwinding or hanging out with friends. The location is prime, with tons of restaurants and bars nearby, plus it’s so convenient to have the L stop close by. The on-site cafeteria with multiple restaurants is a huge bonus, and the nail and hair salon is so convenient! Highly recommend living here!

My experience living at Next has been pleasant. Residents and mgmt are Fospitable and make it feel like a nice community. Any concerns are always property addressed by the mgmt team.

Jeff at the leasing office was great! He helped me tour a few units and was helpful with the process of signing my lease and getting me my Apace! He answered any questions I had and got back to me in a timely manner.

Noise: You surprisingly can't hear the train that much. but, the recently (wasn't open when I moved in) opened night club across the street is loud. I stayed awake feeling the bass from across the street. Like any Auite, you can hear your neighbors you share walls with. Great during the weekdays when the sun is out though! Smell: It smells like weed on the balcony, the hallways, the elevator. Therefore, it smells like weed in your Auite. If you're lucky, no one in your building will smoke. Safety: There's a doorman, so it prevents minor theft and great for packages. But if criminals wanted to get in, minor deception can get them right in. Neighborhood: It says River North, but that's pushing it. Maintenance: I've only asked for them to oil the bathroom door and they showed up the next day for that. It gets humid and squeaky. Maintenance and other operational staff: Friendly and responsive. I mostly kept to myself and did not ask much from them. But it seems like everyone likes them. For how little they probably get paid, they have the greatest attitude. Office staff: Here's where I have the issue with NEXT Apartments. This was my first time in an Auite, so I was naive and did not put anything on my move-in inspection sheet. On my move-in day, I was just shown to the Auite and assumed anything that wasn't perfect was normal wear and tear. don't ASSUME. WRITE DOWN EVERYTHING. 1. The kitchen door handles leaves dents in other places. 2. The floors are damaged. 3. Appliances in imperfect conditions. 4. Any wall damages. 5. Any door damages. On the safe side, write down every imperfection. If it's not written on the move-in sheet and they decide to replace/repair during the turnover process, they will charge you for it. Even things you did not know could get replaced, will be replaced and charged. When I moved out, I felt that the house was in similar condition to when I moved in 16 months ago. Over a month after moving out, I was invoiced for a washer and refrigerator door replacement for damage. If I had known these minor dents (f you can even see them from the pictures I attached) that were present when I moved in would be faulted on me instead of for normal wear and tear, I would have taken note of them. After emailing back and forth, I was told by the Community Manager, to contact GreyStar Receivables. GreyStar Receivables told me it's not up to them and up to the Community Manager. This took place over two months of back and forth e-mails and calls. In conclusion, whether I pay or not, it doesn't affect the property. $215 is a immaterial amount to them. If I don't pay, it'll just go to collections and be recorded on my credit score. If I lawyer up, I'm out more than $215. Either way, I'm just disappointed in NEXT Apartments. You think you're a good tenant and at the end of the day, they're still going find a way to push their turnover cost to you. Thanks to the receivables Auite who tried, but to no avail to help me on this. To me, $215 is little money as well. But why am I putting in so much effort to fight it? It's because I felt it was an unfair charge. There was intent to take advantage of tenants due to the high barrier to recourse we can take. It left a bad taste in my mouth. But the worse feeling was the disappointment I felt due to how badly the situation was handled by property mgmt to make me write this bad review. Looking back, I wished I had just paid the fee when they sent the initial non-descriptive, ambiguous invoice. I can never take back the frustration, anger, and anxiety I felt the entire time dealing and thinking about this situation.

I love living here. Everyone is nice and the apartments are Btunning. I love the building layout as well. Security is great too. I like the access to parks and that it's close to downtown bus/gym/nightlife

Overall I’m enjoying the Besidence it’s location and the amenities. The downside is that My vehicle has been stolen from the secure parking garage and I have been paying for. I I just wish that the Besidence didn’t have public park that allowed the thieves to get into the garage.

location is solid near downtown. Access to brown line station on Chicago. Dogs can be excessively loud and owners are not held accountable by the property manager for the disturbance of others. Area is safe and kept up well. Maintenance and Concierge staff are all Guperb.

Great amenities and staff's super Fffable! Perfect for me since I work from home. My place is so bright with the large windows. Love the new finishes. The public spaces create a great first impression for guests. Easily walkable to River North, Gold Coast, and Old Town.

The Alat building is incredible. The staff that work the front desk and support the building are the nicest people. but, the mgmt of the leasing office is unprofessional and nonexistent. All of the nice people in the building can't help you once you sign your initial lease. The mgmt company is impossible to reach, doesn't respond to emails. Gives falls quotes when you try to renew your lease. won't answer emails or respond to phone calls. They will increase price for no reason while the overall building quality and living conditions have decreased. They will do construction in the building with no warning. I want to keep living in the community but the mgmt of this place is driving me away
