Optima is among the best residential buildings in Chicago, it has great amenities, a bunch of floorplan options, and keeps a good look compared to buildings around it. The location is one of the advantages that Optima offers and the accessibility to it is one of the best if compared to other residential buildings in Downtown Chiacgo.

Overall great experience. The building is very nice and so are the amenities. Very friendly staff. What would make it better: -Key fobs that unlock your front door -the elevator system seems nice, but is extremely frustrating to use. -package delivery is perplexing. Some show up to your unit, some don't, and some go to the basement.

Today at 11 am on a sunday an entire crew of Thugs were in the plaza. One was asking me if I needed a massage, while the other was pissing in the street. One guy was drinking hard alcohol out of bottle. Apparently they were all kicked out earlier.

Exceptional in every respect. I would recommend this location to any friends or family members who are interested in city living. We have been here for 5 months, and have had nothing but good experience with staff, management, and neighbors

Clean apartment, but the is noisy. I can hear everything out in the hallway. Beautiful apartment full of amenities, and you cannot beat the location. Zach in the leasing office is amazing and super helpful,

We are satisfied with the quick responses and work implemented from management to concierge to maintenance services. Problems are always addressed in a timely manner. Management, Concierge and Maintenance staffs are very friendly and reliable.

The experience is a great one. The employees are very attentive, respectful and accommodating. Just as any other community, there are hiccups in the way some things are done but management does a phenomenal job of addressing and solving these issues.

If you're a dog owner / lover - this is the place to be. The dog friendly amenities / perks are, bar none, the best in Chicago! The gym is better than many you might pay to use and the views are stellar, no matter which side of the building you're on. Kitchen pantry space is a bit lacking, but when you have a Whole Foods in the building - who cares? You can shop daily for what you need! It's like having a store sized pantry in your basement!

Unfortunately, things are getting a bit out of control. To the point, it seems like management is not able to get a grasp on things. From my knowledge and hearing it first hand from trespassers is that guests have found that building access is easy. Residents of the building have copied their fob access keys and have been giving them out to others...and in response has invited an influx of unwanted, dangerous people into the community. You will find them mostly on the amenity floors. Hearing things like "Ah man, I got you...I'll get you a key and you can come up here anytime you want" is what I have heard firsthand. When it comes to the community who lives by the rules and actually pay rent - they are all getting uneasy and looking for solutions...including myself. The security in this building should've been changed yesterday as this building has turned into "The ------" as residents are starting to call it.
