Good living space, friendly staff. Groceries became a little bit inconvenient especially in Winter since closure of Bockwinkels right across the street, 3 groceries around (Whole Foods, Trader Joes, Potash brothers), all 4-5 blocks away

We had been at another location for years - and with an ownership change we felt it was time to move. We had heard about the recent remodeling and took a tour. We were so impressed - we love our apartment! The staff is AMAZING! Professional and polite. Thank you Chicagoan!

Living at the Chicagoan has been pretty great! The staff are all friendly and helpful, and any maintenance requests are always taken care of the same day as the request is placed. The only complaint I have has to do with management's light handling of conflicts such as noise complaints, etc, and the amount of noise one can hear when inside the apartment from the hallway. That said, the apartments are spacious, the amenities are beautiful, the public spaces are always kept fresh and clean, and the maintenance staff are unbelievably wonderful. In-unit laundry is a big plus, as are the modern appliances. There is an attached garage as well, for an additional fee.

Could not ask for a better luxury apartment smack in the middle of River North. After some serious hunting in the neighborhood, we are glad to have found the Chicagoan. The concrete walls make neighbor noise non-existent (our neighbors being 5 kids 0-8 years old). The maintenance staff are extremely responsive. The door people, though, are the gem of the place. They are very friendly to the residents and fiercely security conscious. Oh, and if you have plants and need to go out of town, the staff will water your plants for you!

I recommend this building and all it's fantastic amenities. The location is extremely convenient. The entire staff is helpful and the turnaround on maintenance is wonderful. There are events and services offered all the time if you'd like to get to know the neighbors, but you can easily keep to yourself if you prefer. The pricing here is premium but you do get a lot for your rent. Move in!

Love the location, nothing beats being downtown. And the Chicagoan is ideally located near the train line as well. Its a great property with nice amenities available, I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great living experience

We've only been here since March 2014 but thus far we've had a really nice experience living at The Chicagoan. The door staff is lovely (we know everyone of them by first name), the space is always clean and its nice to have amenities are our fingertips (although we honestly don't use a lot of them).

Very disappointed with the Chicagoan. In six months, my fridge broke three times (once maintenance broke it), dishwasher leaked, bathtub is peeling. Also, there is no insulation so keeping my apartment at 65 in the winter cost $200 per month.Look at a newer building!

I've only lived at the Chicagoan for about a month, but so far have been very impressed by the management, maintenance, and door staff. Everyone is so friendly and the amenities are great! I love the new sun deck with grills/fire pits. In the apartment itself, the new stainless steel appliances and granite counters make the kitchen look very modern. The building is close to everything and if you're hungry, there are a thousand options right outside your door.

They used to do more resident events, like happy hours and receptions. But that isn't happening as much anymore because of the change of staff. Also, any new work being done will be delayed. Like the pool, sundeck and the rec room we're still waiting on.
