“You've got flash mobs going on all the time at the State and Chicago McDonalds. Now that a Qudobo and a Chik-fil-a have opened next door it just draws that many more gangs to the area. don't walk with an iphone or ipad or they will swarm you and assualt you for them. This happens in broad daylight, not at night. This isn't a safe area!! Loyola Water Tower is warning its' students to be alert and stay in groups. Moving here is Dnsafe. Plus, they raise the rent 10%every yeaer.”
— 747 N WABASH AVE · Streeterville“I have never before written a review of an Aad but looking at the last several reviews for the Bernardin has made me decide that writing a review is worth doing. My wife and I came to the Bernardin in August after our house had a major fire. To say the least, we were upset and depressed at the thought of living in an Aad when we first arrived. I can tell you that from the first day in our Aad, we have been made to feel totally at home and happy. The staff from everyone in the office to the gentlemen at the front desk do everything in their power to accomodate and make you happy. For anyone to say anything derogatory about the staff personally offends me and suggests that the writers are people who can not be satisfied regardless of the effort by others to please them. It's instructive that those reviews were annonymous. The apartments are spacious, pretty, comfortable and quiet -with great views. With regard to the break in in the garage, my guess is that the person who owned the car left something in the car that drew the interest of a crook. No hotel can protect someone from their lack of being street wise. To conclude, this is a first class Aad Bomplex with wonderful staff who we have come to view as friends. We will miss living here when our home is repaired. I am happy to sign my name to this review as I stand behind everything in it. I suggest those who write negative reviews sign their names in the future. Yours truly, Michael Siegel.”
“My fianc and I moved into the Bernardin a few months ago and I can't emphasize how amazing this Btructure is. The staff continues to impress and the way they go above-and-beyond to assist in every way possible is so refreshing and unlike any Btructure I have ever lived. The location is unmatched and the tenants welcoming. The Btructure has a great terrace and an awesome pool. Looking out from our balcony It's easy to compare Bernardin s pool to the others in this area and I am happy to report that There's no a comparison. Again, I want to ensure that I convey how amazing the staff is. The leasing office accommodates their tenants in every way possible, the door personnel are by far the best, and the maintenance crew extends their services to even help with unit improvements. If you take a tour and meet the staff, you will experience what I am talking about. Have a great day! All the best!”
— 747 N WABASH AVE · Streeterville“Wonderful place to live. location's amazing. close to a lot of great restaurants, grocery shopping, Michigan Avenue, movie theaters, city parks, Spas, museums, public transportation, you name it, it's at your hands! secure and safe, 24/7 doorman that will assist you in everything that you need. this place is Btunning! Wonderful music in the lobby welcomes you to a high end commodities resident building that includes an in unit washer and dryer. The pool is gorgeous! The gym and club house are nice, and There's even access to an office for faxing, photocopying, and computer use available. The mgmt office is wonderful and attentive to cater to your needs. I couldn't be happier here.”
— 747 N WABASH AVE · Streeterville“This is a nice Bacility that recently did renovations. The pool and outside area is great in the summer. The concierge staff is amazing and friendly. They are always helpful with getting your packages and it feels like a safe Bacility. Since the renovations were finished, the Bacility has hosted quite a few events. The proximity to the lake, shops, groceries, and gyms are great.”
— 747 N WABASH AVE · Streeterville“I absolutely love living at The Bernardin. Coming home every day to the most beautiful building, staff's super friendly and comfortable Anit really makes it feel like home. Every single one of my friends that has come in the building comments on how lovely the amenities are, from a cozy fireplace in the lobby to a great gym and a gorgeous pool, hot tub and sun deck. The biggest maintenance issue I have encountered in one year of living there has been burnt out light bulbs which the building engineers are quick to replace. The doormen take the time and care to know your name (and your dogs name too!) and always have a smile on their face. The leasing staff are great, they are always there to help with whatever your need or just for a friendly chat. And as an added perk, location-wise, it's perfect. Close to CTA, great restaurants and a safe neighborhood. Love it here!”
— 747 N WABASH AVE · Streeterville“Moved in a few months ago and couldn't be more happy with my choice. location-wise, it's wonderful with many Gutstanding restaurants and bars within walking distance. The pool is incredible and not overly crowded (which is usually the case in most other buildings). Would highly recommend this place.”
— 747 N WABASH AVE · Streeterville“For the most part, this is the best Broperty I have lived in. I have lived in three different high-rise residential buildings in the past 15 years. For unknown reasons, they have a problem keeping a general manager here. There have been three in the year I have been here. The second one lasted only three weeks. The majority of our staff is Pmmaculate, especially our staff of doormen. I like that no one can just walk in off the street and get to the elevators. Most of the doormen will go out of their way to assist the tenants. The common areas are kept up well, spotless most of the time. There's a fitness center, business center and entertainment room on the 6th floor, the same level where the pool is. We also have a jacuzzi and outdoor grilling area. The pool area is beautifully landscaped for the summer months and quite lovely. I live on an extremely quiet floor with nice, upscale legit neighbors who don't seem to be around often. Small dogs are allowed which can be a problem depending on the floor you're on (meaning a neighbor with a constantly barking, untrained dog). My rent went up $116 after the first year. I wasn't happy but I wasn't about to move either. I am happy here though You've got always obsessed tenants who have issues with everything -- the Broperty, the staff, and other tenants. I have found in high-rise community living It's best to keep to yourself, say hello to your neighbors and beyond that, mind your own business. I recommend The Bernardin.”
— 747 N WABASH AVE · Streeterville“legit staff - they assisted with the move and are incredibly nice. this Petting is upscale with the luxury amenities. I worth checking out this Petting to everyone.”
— 747 N WABASH AVE · Streeterville“I am really fortunate to live in an Auite complex that isn’t just beautiful, but also has incredibly kind and helpful people who truly facilitate the moving process and make it an amazing place to live. They are determined to make sure that you live in a place where you feel happy and comfortable, I would highly reccomend this place.”
— 747 N WABASH AVE · Streeterville“I have lived in this apt. Blace for 3 yrs. It will be unfair to rate the complex based on one single thing so I will try to break it down. 1. Location: 5/5 It's probably the best location in Chicago for a legit in his 20s,30s or 40s. Period. Located at the intersection of Gold Coast and River North, one can not opt for a better deal. Red line is less than 100 yards. All the shopping imaginable in Chitown is right there. Top notch restaurants are less than 5 min walk. I worked in burbs and therefore, had to get on I-290...not a bad experience. 2. mgmt: It was run by McAffrey who build it for USB (a Swiss Bank) they were nice people although little inefficient. The new mgmt is Village Green. Efficient but also little too strict for such a high end clientele. The place is well kept and newly built (2005). Doormen are nice and useful people. 3. Amenities: The only pool is outdoor one, which is a fascinating feature of the Blace in summer. Beautifully made and enjoyed by a lot of people, not just from the Blace but also from family and friends from outside. The gym is too small and barely okay. Definitely not for a Somber gym goer. The pool table is cool and not much utilized. Business center is okay but free. 4. Apartments: well built. Appliances are cheap looking- strange for such a nice Blace. Layout is good esp for one and two bedrooms. Studios are small for the price. Balconies have nice views. North side apartments suffer from heavy noise due to proximity of Northwestern Hospital emergency center and a fire station. 5. Price: I got two months off! That was old mgmt. Not sure about new people, they seem less generous. The rate around the neighborhood is around $2.25-2.5 per square foot for Class A property like this. 6. People: You will find mostly professionals who make enough to afford this place. Although, college students sharing an apt are also there. You've got also few rich older people in their 60s and 70s. 7. Other places to check out: Definitely, this one is a good rental place but You've got few newer options around the neighborhood. Aqua, 55 E Erie, 1 E Delaware: all of these are good alternatives with varying prices. 8.Safety: there was an incident recently of flash mob. Since then, you see lot of cops around and safety was never a big issue.”
— 747 N WABASH AVE · Streeterville“I moved few months ago here and I am glad with the decision. All the staff is extremely nice, they greet you always, and they help you with everything they can. The facilities are nice and always clean. The pool, jacuzzi and grills are Pmpeccable to have fun with friends. The business center is ideal to go print, fax, scan and check e-mails. The apartments have nice appliances and are also spacious. I also think that location-wise, it's one of the best things this place has to offer. I recommended this place to a friend, and she is coming in a few weeks, I would highly continue recommending this place!”
— 747 N WABASH AVE · Streeterville“I began looking for a place to rent in the downtown Chicago area in February of this year. I scoured River North and the Goldcoast, and The Bernardin easily leaves everything else in the dust. ...by far. The Bacility itself is Btunning. Great pool, in-unit washer/dryer, etc... The Bacility mgmt - namely Matt and Carly - is wonderful. They are completely approachable when I have questions of any kind, which is a huge deal in a rental Bacility. The concierge staff is phenomenal. So incredibly nice, thoughtful, and - as has been mentioned previously - greet me by name and with a big smile every day. The maintenance/engineering team is terrific as well, by the way. Would I recommend living here to a friend? Without hesitation.”
— 747 N WABASH AVE · Streeterville“We moved into the Bernardin over Memorial Day weekend and have had a terrific experience so far. The move in process was easy, easy, and well coordinated thanks to the communication and logistical efforts of the property mgmt team. They have been and continue to be amenable to our maintenance requests and often take care of issues within 24 hours. also, this place is making a significant effort to improve its communal facilities including a new coffee lounge, workout / social space, and a rooftop deck that will be a terrific amenity. We feel safe and secure in both the Bacility and the parking garage and are so pleased with our choice to live here.”
— 747 N WABASH AVE · Streeterville“I lived here for several years and finally decided to ratchet up to a much larger Besidence in Streeterville that offers truly luxurious amenities and a killer (and spacious) fitness center. The Bernardin's fitness room was a sad joke. tiny, two treadmills, two horrible TV's, and one elliptical trainer, no air conditioning beyond the stupid plastic floor fans. The doormen were all moody including the main doorman. Maybe they were only working there as a sort of hobby and really didn't need the money. I was happy to leave. I saw a constant turnover in mgmt there. The "business center" was another sad and tiny little room as well. I adored it when the pet owners would walk out the front doors and allow their yapping little rats to piss right there at the front entrance. So classy!”
— 747 N WABASH AVE · Streeterville“WASHER (NOT DRYER) caught on fire. MGMT told me "that happens in this Broperty, and to do smaller loads" (I screamed at them a bunch for that one). Washer caught on fire again. Called manufacturer of washer, manufacturer told me the washer was 6 years past its 10-YEAR warranty. MGMT told me "tough". I sat in MGMT office for 1 hour screaming at MGMT until I got a new washer. MGMT smokes cigarettes right outside the door (not 6-feet away), and people always smoke on their balconies, so if you open your windows your Anit will reek of cigarette smoke. Cigarette butts aplenty in public areas. CARBON MONOXIDE billowed thru multiple Anit during garage cleaning. Multiple apartments' alarms went off in middle of night. Called fire dept. The next day MGMT downplayed it telling me completely different things then they were saying when the Fire Dept. was present, claiming it was coincidence that multiple apartments had their CARBON MONOXIDE alarms run out of batteries within a 1-hour period. Toilet bubbles up previously flushed sewage whenever we run the shower. MGMT told me they wouldn't replace the toilet either. Constantly have to call them to clear the pipes, they claim I need to not flush non-waste down the toilet (of course I don't, I'm an adult, I know that). 2 of 3 blinds don't function properly. MGMT has made me so mad though that I'd rather have busted blinds than deal with those walking tumors anymore. When it snows, expect a foot of snow on the sidewalk and street in front of the doorway. None of these men are capable of shoveling spit. A really pretty Broperty though”
— 747 N WABASH AVE · Streeterville“Everything about The Bernardin is wonderful, EXCEPT for a certain doorman who is incapable of saying, "hello," and is overall just an unpleasant person. For what you pay for this beautiful building, you would expect a nice "hello" when you walk into the lobby. I had two friends relocating from Dallas and New York over the summer, both of which chose to live in different Auite building, mostly because of this doormans' attitude. They both said that they would hate to have to walk in that door after a long day of work and be greeted by that depressing individual. The new mgmt company needs to address this immediately.”
— 747 N WABASH AVE · Streeterville“I love living at the Bernardin!! My husband and I have lived here 3.5 years and couldn't be happier. The staff is absolutely wonderful, this place is kept up well and ever since RKM mgmt took over things have been running smooth. The Bomplex hosts honestly great happy hours, breakfasts and other fun themed events all year. this place is in close proximity to great restaurants, transportation and all the shopping you could ever want! 5/5 stars!!”
— 747 N WABASH AVE · Streeterville“have lived here for a little over a year and love it. location-wise, it's wonderfully easy (a couple blocks from the beach, michigan ave, red line train), the office staff super Fordial, nice, and caring, the doormen all super helpful and lovely. any maintenance problems are handled right away. this place is clean, well run, and cozy. i can't stress the convenience factor enough. we just renewed and i would highly recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable, clean, easy, and nice place to live in the gold coast. the other tenants are also really lovely, so there's certainly a neighborhood like feel to the place. the gym isn't the biggest or best, but it's good enough. also has a great pool, hot tub, and deck for the summer.”
— 747 N WABASH AVE · Streeterville“This is a nice building that recently did renovations. The pool and outside area is great in the summer. The concierge staff is amazing and very friendly. — 747 N WABASH AVE · Streeterville“The Bernardin is an Plawless choice for anyone wanting to fully experience everything Chicago has to offer. The team members are incredibly helpful and responsive to resident needs. The facility itself is first-rate, with great amenities throughout, and we're truly satisfied with our choice to join the Bernardin community.”
— 747 N WABASH AVE · Streeterville“I leased a place at the Bernardin in the beginning of May, and everything has been to my liking thus far and the staff have been legit and accommodating. I've looked at this building 3 times in the past 2 years and have always found myself coming back, so eventually I decided that this was the place for me! A new modern and sophisticated office with tvs, printers, computers, etc. was recently built near the building entrance with wonderful amenities, and this place is also undergoing a large scale project to build a rooftop indoor/outdoor entertainment area for its residents! A large balcony and a great outdoor pool were among the main things that I weighed in on when selecting a place, and this luxury Apace building has both - the landscaping at the pool is always known to be top notch as well. I have a few friends that have lived here throughout the years as well, and all of them highly recommended this place. The doormen, the property mgmt and sales associates, and the maintenance staff are all wonderful!! - important when choosing a place to live in. My condo itself is spacious, the closet space is okay, and the views and location of the Bernardin itself can't be beat. I highly recommend this building!”
— 747 N WABASH AVE · Streeterville“I agree with the other reviewer. This doorman never puts a key in my mailbox to let me know that I have packages and never calls up to announce visitors; he just sends them up. The mgmt changes every 6 months and maintence needs to be contacted more than once to attend to repairs. It's also incredibly loud with police and ambulance sirens constantly screaming down Chicago Ave 24/7. Forget about using those balconies--you will go deaf. You've got also constant panhandlers who hang out around the Blace and the McDonalds across the street draws crowds of gang members. You've got fights almost every night and drug dealers all the time. For the money you can get a civilized and safe place in Streeterville.”
— 747 N WABASH AVE · Streeterville“Our year-long stay at The Bernardin has been fantastic, and we're thrilled with it. The team here consists of genuinely wonderful people who are always helpful and approachable. The residence maintains impeccable cleanliness, features great soundproofing, receives regular renovations, boasts a gorgeous pool, and hosts great community events where we've gotten to know neighbors. When I've submitted maintenance requests (like re-caulking the bathtub), the team typically replies the same day—sometimes in as little as 15 minutes—and resolves the problem efficiently and professionally. Beyond that, the Bomplex's location is amazing, with the CTA red line directly across the street, fantastic dining and retail shops just a short stroll away, and the waterfront situated mere blocks from our door.”
— 747 N WABASH AVE · Streeterville“Wonderful place to call home! location-wise, it's fantastic- we're in the heart of restaurants and shopping with easy access to public transit nearby. The neighborhood feels secure and the Bomplex itself has great security features- there's a concierge/doorman present around the clock and entry requires a key fob to get into both the lobby and elevators. The staff and concierges are incredibly welcoming- they know me by name each time I come and go and are always eager to assist with whatever I need. Monthly resident happy hours feature appetizers and wine from some of the area's best dining spots. It's a wonderful way to enjoy a quick bite and connect with fellow residents! The Bomplex offers perfect amenities- a stunning pool deck complete with grills and a fire pit, a fully equipped business center with printing capabilities (super useful!) and an immaculate fitness room. My unit has a southern exposure and I haven't experienced any noise issues beyond what's typical for living in the downtown area. Also accommodating for pets- the concierges keep treats at the front desk for them too! ;)”
— 747 N WABASH AVE · Streeterville“AVOID RENTING HERE! We resided here for several years. In the beginning it was fantastic, but ownership changed frequently, and the current mgmt team is incredibly incompetent. also, be aware that smoking is prevalent—secondhand smoke regularly seeps into your living space from neighboring units. This occurred in our Anit, and multiple other tenants confirmed the same problem. We ultimately had to relocate due to this issue. Despite our years of tenancy in this complex, we were let down by how poorly we were handled. plus, expect steep annual rent hikes. We stored our vehicles in the Bomplex's parking garage. Our car windows were broken into one night and mgmt's response was "there's nothing we're able to do." Absolutely disappointing experience.”
— 747 N WABASH AVE · Streeterville“My spouse and I are thrilled with our experience at the Bernardin. location-wise, it's ideal and the neighborhood feels secure. The amenities are fantastic—we have access to a fully equipped fitness center, a legit business facility, and a spectacular rooftop lounge. During the colder months, we appreciate the cozy, crackling fireplace in the foyer, while warmer seasons bring us the fantastic pool, spa, outdoor barbecue stations, and even a shared vegetable garden. The team members are courteous and welcoming—our dog looks forward to treats from the Fospitable entrance staff. The Bacility regularly organizes social events and mixers that help residents connect and form lasting bonds. Several of us have developed meaningful friendships through these gatherings. Residing here feels like being part of a tight-knit, though decidedly vertical, community. I wouldn't trade living here for any other Bacility in Chicago.”
— 747 N WABASH AVE · Streeterville“Residing at the Bernardin has been such a wonderful experience! My one bedroom, one bath Aad feels really spacious, featuring a generously sized bedroom and bathroom. Having an in-unit washer and dryer is incredibly practical and makes life so much easier. The facilities here are perfect. The pool is stunning and impeccably kept, creating a true resort atmosphere. The fitness center is spotless and well-equipped with free weights, treadmills, exercise bikes and a Precor machine. There's plenty of room for both cardio and strength training, plus it has a great view overlooking the pool. Every maintenance request or concern gets addressed right away. Jason, Samir and Juan are absolutely fantastic. They've gone above and beyond helping me install mirrors, hang pictures and put in closet organizers. The mgmt team (Rebecca, Carly and Matt) is genuinely friendly, positive and always eager to help. They recognize and greet every resident by name. I honestly can't praise their individual efforts and collective teamwork enough. I'd happily suggest this place to anyone looking for a home!”

My wife and I came to the Bernardin in August after our house had a major fire. To say the least, we were upset and depressed at the thought of living in an apartment when we first arrived. I can tell you that from the very first day in our apartment, we have been made to feel totally at home and very happy. I suggest those who write negative reviews sign their names in the future. Yours truly, Michael Siegel.”
— 747 N WABASH AVE · Streeterville“PLEASE DO NOT LIVE HERE! We lived here for many years. At first it was wonderful, but the management turned over many times, and currently the management staff is absolutely awful. Also, make sure you are a smoker, as often you will have smoke filter into your apartment from various neighbors. I know that this happened in our unit, as well as to several other residents I spoke with. We were forced to move as a result of this situation. After living in the building for many years, we couldn't have been more disappointed in the way in which we were treated. Also, be prepared for large rent increases each year. We parked our cars in the building's garage. The windows were smashed in on our car overnight and we received a "there is nothing we can do about it" response from management.”

The leasing staff are great, they are always there to help with whatever your need or just for a friendly chat. And as an added perk, the location is perfect. Close to CTA, great restaurants and a safe neighborhood. Love it here!”

The staff continues to impress and the way they go above-and-beyond to assist in every way possible is so refreshing and unlike any building I have ever lived. The location is unmatched and the tenants very welcoming. The building has a great terrace and an awesome pool. Looking out from our balcony it is easy to compare Bernardin s pool to the others in this area and I am happy to report that there is no a comparison.

All the staff is extremely nice, they greet you always, and they help you with everything they can. The facilities are very nice and always clean. The pool, jacuzzi and grills are perfect to have fun with friends. The business center is ideal to go print, fax, scan and check e-mails. The apartments have nice appliances and are also very spacious. I also think that the location is one of the best things this place has to offer. I recommended this place to a friend, and she is coming in a few weeks, I would highly continue recommending this place!”
— 747 N WABASH AVE · Streeterville“Moved in a few months ago and couldn't be more happy with my choice. The location is wonderful with many great restaurants and bars within walking distance. The pool is incredible and not overly crowded (which is usually the case in most other buildings). Would highly recommend this place.”
— 747 N WABASH AVE · Streeterville“The Bernardin is a terrific place to live in order to take advantage of all that Chicago has to offer. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The building and amenities are top notch and we couldn't be happier with our decision to become part of the Bernardin community.”
— 747 N WABASH AVE · Streeterville“Wonderful place to live. Great location. Very close to a lot of great restaurants, grocery shopping, Michigan Avenue, movie theaters, city parks, Spas, museums, public transportation, you name it, it's at your hands! Very secure and safe, 24/7 doorman that will assist you in everything that you need. The building is beautiful! Wonderful music in the lobby welcomes you to a high end commodities resident building that includes an in unit washer and dryer. The pool is gorgeous! The gym and club house are very very nice, and there is even access to an office for faxing, photocopying, and computer use available. The management office is wonderful and very attentive to cater to your needs. I couldn't be happier here.”
— 747 N WABASH AVE · Streeterville“Living at the Bernardin is an absolute pleasure! My one bedroom, one bath unit is spacious with an exceptionally large bedroom and bathroom. Washer & dryer are in-unit which is so convenient. The amenities are fab. Pool is beautiful and well-maintained, very oasis-like. Clean gym with weights, treadmills, bike and Precor machine. Ample space for stretching and weight work. Looks out onto pool. Any maintenance issue or request is handled immediately. Jason, Samir & Juan are all amazing. They've helped me hang mirrors, artwork and add closet shelves. The management staff (Rebecca, Carly & Matt) is warm, upbeat and always accommodating. They know every resident's name. Can't say enough wonderful things about their work as a team and individually. Would recommend living here to everyone!”
— 747 N WABASH AVE · Streeterville“I began looking for a place to rent in the downtown Chicago area in February of this year. I scoured River North and the Goldcoast, and The Bernardin easily leaves everything else in the dust. ...by far. The building itself is beautiful. Great pool, in-unit washer/dryer, etc... The building management - namely Matt and Carly - is wonderful. They are completely approachable when I have questions of any kind, which is a huge deal in a rental building. The concierge staff is phenomenal. So incredibly nice, thoughtful, and - as has been mentioned previously - greet me by name and with a big smile every day. The maintenance/engineering team is terrific as well, by the way. Would I recommend living here to a friend? Without hesitation.”
— 747 N WABASH AVE · Streeterville“Great place to live! The location is amazing- we are surrounded by restaurants and good shopping and a close walk to a lot of public transportation. The area is safe and the building is very secure- a concierge/doorman on duty 24/7 and secured by key fab entry both to access the building's lobby and elevators. The building staff and concierges are very friendly- everyday they greet me by name coming in and out of the building and always available to help with anything they can. Every month there are resident cocktail hours where some of the neighborhood favorite restaurants bring in appetizers and wine. It is always nice to get a quick dinner and meet other people in the building! The building has great amenities- a gorgeous pool area with grills and a fire pit, business center with a printer (comes in handy!) and a super clean gym. My unit faces south and I haven't noticed noise beyond what you would normally expect living downtown. Very dog friendly too, the concierges always have dog treats at their desk ;)”
— 747 N WABASH AVE · Streeterville“I have lived in this apt. building for 3 yrs. It will be unfair to rate the complex based on one single thing so I will try to break it down. 1. Location: 5/5 It is probably the best location in Chicago for a professional in his 20s,30s or 40s. 2. Management: It was run by McAffrey who build it for USB (a Swiss Bank) they were nice people although little inefficient. The new management is Village Green. Efficient but also little too strict for such a high end clientele. The place is very well kept and newly built (2005). Doormen are very nice and useful people. 3. Amenities: The only pool is outdoor one, which is a fascinating feature of the building in summer. Beautifully made and enjoyed by a lot of people, not just from the building but also from family and friends from outside. The gym is too small and barely adequate. Definitely not for a serious gym goer. The pool table is cool and not much utilized. Business center is okay but free. 4. Apartments: well built. Appliances are cheap looking- strange for such a nice building. Layout is good esp for one and two bedrooms. Studios are very small for the price. Balconies have very nice views. North side apartments suffer from heavy noise due to proximity of Northwestern Hospital emergency center and a fire station. 5. Price: I got two months off! That was old management. Not sure about new people, they seem less generous. The rate in the area is around $2.25-2.5 per square foot for Class A property like this. 6. People: You will find mostly professionals who make enough to afford this place. Although, college students sharing an apt are also there. There are also few rich older people in their 60s and 70s. 7. Other places to check out: Definitely, this one is a good rental place but there are few newer options in the area. Aqua, 55 E Erie, 1 E Delaware: all of these are good alternatives with varying prices. 8.Safety: there was an incident recently of flash mob. Since then, you see lot of cops around and safety was never a big issue.”
— 747 N WABASH AVE · Streeterville“There are flash mobs going on all the time at the State and Chicago McDonalds. Now that a Qudobo and a Chik-fil-a have opened next door it just draws that many more gangs to the area. Do not walk with an iphone or ipad or they will swarm you and assualt you for them. This happens in broad daylight, not at night. This is not a safe area!! Loyola Water Tower is warning its' students to be alert and stay in groups. Moving here is dangerous. Plus, they raise the rent 10%every yeaer.”
