“There have been ongoing concerns regarding a newer male manager at the building. Multiple residents have reported that he has been rude and unhelpful in interactions. Several pet-owning residents have also raised concerns about repeated comments he has made regarding pets in the building, which have led to multiple complaints within the community. Overall, residents are very dissatisfied with how these situations have been handled.”

The amenities are awesome, pool deck is the best in Chicago! It's location is awesome, everything is accessible in a walking distance and you're at the best neighborhood in town, no doubt.”
— 1201 N. LASALLE BLVD. · Chicago“Love living at the Sinclair, not only is it a beautiful property (the shared spaces are out of a luxury hotel!) That's kept second to none, the team here are just wonderful. They are always helpful, honest and incredibly accomodating. Extra shout out to Erica in the real estate office who is just incredible - she and the team really made our stay here above and beyond our expectations!”
— 1201 N. LASALLE BLVD. · Chicago“This Bacility is amazing. It's one of the newest high rise rental projects in the gold coast in years. The experience of living in the Sinclair is comparable to a top tier multinational hotel with the layouts, amenities, and floorplans. But the everyday interaction in the community is Fospitable and welcoming like a small family business with big hearts. Each and every one of the Bacility personnel says “hello”and “have a good day.” The staff is genuine and sincere with the way they handle all encounters. The amenity floor has the feel of a resort with the way it has the outdoor bar area, cabanas, and pool setup. It's easy to feel as if on vacation and let the stress drift away. The open floorpans and kitchen designs make bring a comfortable and soothing feeling to the Bacility. The incredible storage provided in the closets and kitchen cabinets are some of the best I have seen. Overall, the Sinclair is much more than a Bacility, It's a soothing escape from daily stress.”

— 1201 N. LASALLE BLVD. · Chicago“I couldn't not have chosen a better community to live in. From the moment I stepped foot in this complex, I have felt right at home. The staff works to know you and welcomes you home every time you walk in the doors. This is HUGE for someone who is new to a city and trying to feel at home with a sense of community. When I invite non-residents over, they wish that they could live here. This Penue is truly something and I worth checking out it to anyone - lots of young professionals, singles, newly marrieds, a few families, and some of the people who decided to move back to the city after years in the suburbs, raising a family. All walks of life but the one thing everyone has in common is that they are Gonderful people who genuinely want to know their neighbors. I am SO happy here.”

— 1201 N. LASALLE BLVD. · Chicago“Absolutely adore the Sinclair!! The staff here is incredibly kind and accommodating. When I was in a tight spot wanting to rescue a puppy, Nicole went above and beyond by quickly providing everything I'd need to bring my new pup home that same day. My puppy is thrilled with the dog park at Sinclair and loves socializing with all the other pups there. My unit feels Rery roomy and the walk-in closet in my 1 bedroom is hands down the largest I've ever come across. The facilities (fitness center, swimming pool/patio area, etc) are fantastic and there's always something fun happening. It's an Aemarkable community to call home!!”

— 1201 N. LASALLE BLVD. · Chicago“I would not recommend living here. The building was recently bought and has been a living hell ever since. There are constant issues - elevator always down, water scalding hot or ice cold, constant noise from construction starting at 7am and has been ongoing for 5 months now… and that’s just the beginning. The manager and owners do not care at all about the residents and barely respond to emails. None of the issues are resolved. Instead of trying to resolve them/help residents, they offer to let you move out… as long as you sign something saying you won’t write any bad reviews against them. They do so just so they can flip the units in the building faster. Pathetic”
— 1211 N LASALLE ST · Chicago“DO NOT LIVE HERE.... I've lived in this building for almost two years now. When I first rented, they were condos and individually owned. However, the building was recently purchased and is now run by those owners and Peak Properties and it is an absolute nightmare. They've been doing construction for 4+ months now. They were supposed to be done before the new year - however, one of the workers told me they're contracted to be here for the next THREE years.... It's so unbelievably loud that you literally cannot work or do anything from home... you get woken up every day at 7/8 AM by jackhammers and whatever else they're using. Not to mention the owners and Peak are just terrible and literally do not care. Everyone complains and they barely respond. If they do respond, they offer you out of your lease and they only do this so they can redo the building faster. They drilled a hole in my neighbors ceiling and then told him he can either stay and pay rent or move - he chose to move and upon moving they made him sign something saying he wouldn't leave a negative review... that says A LOT about the people running this building now. It almost seems intentional at this point. The elevators are down every week. The noise is unbearable. The owners and property managers could care less about the tenants. The remodeled units are incredibly overpriced for what little amenities they offer which doesn't affect me currently but just insane. The only semi nice thing about living here in the lobby looks nice for once. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere in Gold Coast because you can find nicer places for less that are actually run properly.”

— 1201 N. LASALLE BLVD. · Chicago“DO NOT live here. It’s poorly managed and the building is basically on its last leg and nobody gives af. No pride of ownership, and DO NOT rent from anyone named hwa hwa ku aka Nancy ku. Your life will be a living hell!”
— 1211 N LASALLE ST · Chicago“Honestly, one of the most miserable experiences I have had with an apartment building. The unit we live in is consistently freezing cold in the winter, and the floor heaters do nothing but cause our utility bill to spike. The plumbing is atrocious, in just the last 3 months we have experienced 2 major pipe bursts which caused flooding in several units above my unit and in adjacent units. One elevator is consistently broken, the laundry room is constantly leaking, they shut down the "fitness center" mid pandemic and never reopened it. If you have any issues you are better off trying to solve them yourself as building management is non existent. The neighborhood has become increasingly unsafe, with a fair amount of drug activity and crime reports on a daily basis. I would highly recommend looking anywhere else before settling for this "building".”
— 1211 N LASALLE ST · Chicago“LaSalle Towers is so poorly managed that it is DANGEROUS to live in the building. Basically, the property manager does the absolute least it thinks it can get away with and still allow condo owners to collect rent from tenants. It is important to understand that many units are owned by people who have never lived in the building and foolishly thought they were being savvy investors. 1) Constant elevator problems -- I got stuck in the elevator six times. Each time was when I was headed to the bicycle room in the basement. Excuse after excuse as to why it was happening 2) The front window / door glass has been smashed about a dozen times in the past decade 3) The windows never get washed unless you complain repeatedly 4) Garbage overflows around their property, leading to a rat problem 5) The immediate area has an incredible concentration of criminal activity. In 2021, crime and homeless has increased dramatically. LaSalle Towers has no onsite staff and a poor camera surveillance system. 6) Many of the mechanical systems are barely working. Expect a lack of hot water, broken doors, malfunctioning alarm systems.”

— 1100 N LASALLE ST · Chicago“I lived in unit 704 for a year. During that year winter was horrible due to the lack of heat in the unit. The unit only has floor heaters and not only do they not work well but they made my electric bill go up to over 300 dollars during winter months. The A/C is horrible as well. Another alarming issue is when you move out the landlord tries to keep the ENTIRE deposit you put down for no damages. When I let her know this was absolutely not okay because there were no major damages to the apartment she told me I would need to speak to her lawyer. When I agreed and said I was waiting for him to reach out for next steps she quickly sent me half of my deposit back via Venmo. All in all a sketchy place. Beware!”

— 1201 N. LASALLE BLVD. · Chicago“Truly bad. My roommate and I paid 2500 dollars a month to live in a pretty awful apartment. My shower in my room never had hot water. Ever. Multiple times I tried to get someone to check it out, which took days for a response from Fulton Grace realty. Most recently, my hot water once again turned off, and when the plumber came to fix it, dirt came out of the shower for multiple days afterwards. Also, I had an air conditioning unit installed in my bedroom because only one of the bedrooms had one. The unit cost me $250, and to have someone install it cost me $150. Without asking me, a building manager came into my bedroom and ripped out the unit, and threw it onto my floor upside down (which breaks it). When I told the woman from Fulton Grace, she said it was my fault for getting the air conditioning unit in the first place. They actually expected me to live without any air conditioning in the summer in a 90 degree room. This place cost me a fortune and I wasted so much money for a pretty bad experience.”

— 1100 N LASALLE ST · Chicago“lived here from 2009 2010 and I lived on the 16th floor with a new baby. Bed bugs were the least of my problems. When they started to fool around upstairs with the sun deck I ended up fighting with cockroaches. It got so bed when I moved a few of the bastards moved with me and I was horrified.... Mind you I moved from this old vintage building to a new formed high rise on Michigan ave. It took forever for Linda to get someone to spray. Mind you I keep a VERY VERY clean. I have OCD for gods sake. It was just terrible they need to get rid of the management and tear this building down. Shoot the manager or throw the ----- in jail take ur pick”
— 1100 N LASALLE ST · Chicago“Great place, but building itself is really old. Also our landlord was terrible when it was about making repairs for broken things - we had bathroom ceiling falling on our heads for months and finally landlord decided to make us pay for the repair. Last but not least - A/C unit in the building are terrible, so make sure you won't live on South side.”
— 1211 N LASALLE ST · Chicago“just moved out due to bed bug and management is happy to rent you an apartment but when you need something repair they drag their feet. also there is roaches this is the worst building i have live in. I am happy that I'm out of there. if you want a co;d apaetmwnt in the winter and bed bugs sucking your blood this is the place.”
— 1100 N LASALLE ST · Chicago“When I read the other reviews on here, I was hesitant to give 1100 N LaSalle apartments a chance. I am glad that I did, and moved there! I had a 14 month lease, from April 2011 to May 31, 2012, before I moved from Chicago to California. Let me say that there were NO bed bug issues during my entire time there. The building was clean and has a sun deck with a great view of the city. I rented a deluxe studio on the 13th floor with a separate kitchen, and a view facing south toward the city. I only had a few repairs needed during this time, one of which was that my refrigerator completely stopped working. I reported this on a Saturday night, I had a brand new fridge installed by Monday morning. The maintenance and front desk staff are extremely helpful. The building has attractive landscaping and is secured by 24 hour front desk staff and controlled access entrance. There is no parking lot (except a temporary loading lot in back for move-ins) but there is street parking on LaSalle or the side streets nearby (Elm also has a parking garage) This is a great location in Gold Coast, two blocks from the Red line, and Walgreens, CVS, Jewel, Chase Bank, etc are within a 5 minute walk. The great shopping on Oak Street/restaurants on Rush and Michigan Ave are within 15 minutes walking distance. There is no excessive noise although since the floors are hardwood, you can sometimes hear things dropped in the unit above you or if furniture is being moved, etc. The kitchen is small, as the fridge sink and stove are side by side without any counter space - I used the kitchen table as a counter. There is a laundry room downstairs with coin-operated machines. There are two main elevators, so there can be a few minutes wait if you arrive during peak hours (such as 5pm on a weekday afternoon) If you are ok with a small studio space with a great view and a fabulous Gold Coast location, I highly recommend 1100 N. LaSalle Apartments!”
— 1100 N LASALLE ST · Chicago“Bed Bug problem. Management shows no interest or urgency in responding to maintenance requests. Building is old and not well kept. Don't waste your time or money on this place.”
— 1100 N LASALLE ST · Chicago“I am not usually a person to write online reviews but when wilmette real estate company that manages this property sent a bill collector after me about a year and a half after me moving out to collect rent that I did not owe them, I had to do this. I lived in the building from Nov 08 to June 15th 2010 and paid rent on time without fault. According to the bill collector, my lease did not end till June 2011 and I owed them rent for a year. This was after they gave my deposit back and I returned the keys to the building management. How can a building management company not know who lives there and who doesnt.? When I called the bulding management company to clarify, they were extremely rude and refused to talk. Per Jenniffer @ wil mettle real estate " they only want to talk to the debt collector and they know how these things work". Luckily I had my email correspondence with this same Jennifer from year and half ainfo quirking about getting my deposit back and account statement and the debt collector closed the case. If it was not for that I would have had to dispute this claim in the court and deal with all the legal nightmare for no reason. So my recommendation is never throw out your lease or any communication thar you have with this company. You never know when you will need this. About the building itself, location is great and rent is cheaper as it is an old building and has its problems. Temperature control is terrible in apts, I lost power in the apt if I ever used my hair dryer, tv and fan together, bed bugs and if you complain, building manager gave you a can of bug spray with instructions on what to do, they don't clean apts after a tenant moves out so ou always got the stuff they didn't take with them, you see some shady people in the building... I was ready to overlook all this as it is hard to find another building at this rate in the area. But with the bill collector nightmare, I wish I never lived there.”
— 1100 N LASALLE ST · Chicago“I lived in Lasalle from August to December 2009 while doing an internship in Chicago and I loved it. Its an inexpensive studio in an old building near downtown, especially since all utilities are included. Area is not bad and near to bus stop (2 lines right outside door) and red line L/subway. Management (Linda)is great and helpful and maintenance was good and fast. Door is locked all day with somebody at the desk to open it (security) and receive your packages. No real parking space (its Chicago what you expect) but temporary for when moving in the back. I personally didnt have issues with bed bugs or noisy neighbors. I had good neighbors, some I became friends other who just never saw. I enjoyed the roof space too since I like being outside and the beauty of this city. There is a Jewels and Walgreens close by and is not a far walk(at least for me) to go to Water Tower mall and shops around there. The studio itself was the basic. I like that there were drawers in the wall to put my clothes apart from the closet. I have seen people put part of their bed in the closet and use the pantry/entrance closet for clothes. I did have some breeze come through window during winter but with tape and some towels my room was warm and cozy (central heating). I have a view to the back so i guess a little less noisy. didnt get internet or cable. However, the lobby has free wifi for residents if you dont mind being around others like on a college campus library.”
— 1100 N LASALLE ST · Chicago“Too many renters that don't care about the building and treat it poorly (and use the fact that the building is old and vintage as an excuse to trash it). The building has its limitations, but things have improved the last few years. Can't beat the location for convenience and similar units in neighboring buildings are prices $200-$400 more per month.”

— 1100 N LASALLE ST · Chicago“I lived in a 2bed/2bathroom for one year and could not WAIT for my lease to be up. I understand that the building is vintage, but it smells horrible, and my room also had mold growing in it. When I complained to the management company, they came in a painted white over it. Not only did they leave the leftover paint can in my room, but the mold just grew threw the wall. GROSS and DISGUSTING. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.”
— 1211 N LASALLE ST · Chicago“We loved it when we first moved in...Diane was wonderful, the building was vintage and quaint. A great feeling all around. Then the building was purchased and is now turning into condos. The new management company is horrible -- they leave rude and poorly written notices around the building warning tenants of changes. They don't respond to complaints or questions unless you catch them in the office, and then the answers between employees don't match. The building maintenance guys are nice and pleasant to deal with, but heaven forbid you have to talk to the management company about something. A very disappointing experience...”

(to be fair a never heard my neighbors).

One good spot-- the manager in a super nice lady.

I *never* take the time to write these things-- whoever rated this highly must be on the take.”
— 1211 N LASALLE ST · Chicago“The management of LaSalle Towers is probably the very best thing about them. Diane Montero - the building's manager - is more like a den mother than a building manager. Have a problem? She will fix it - and smile the whole time. It is that simple.

I have a convertible 1 bedroom that does not have a door to the bedroom - which is right next to the kitchen. I am also a very light sleeper. The refrigerator made a VERY slight intermittent clicking noise which was actually keeping me up at night. After the engineers were up at the apartment a few times, I called Diane and BEGGED her to do something.

By the time I got home that night, there was a different refrigerator in my apartment. Diane said that the noises were normal for that fridge, but since I didn't have a bedroom door, it made more sense to switch it out for a quieter version.

Is it the cheapest apartment? No. Parking? There is a long waiting list for outdoor parking. Noise? Admittedly, the fire trucks ROARING past the building can get to you after a while.

BUT... it is RIGHT next to the Jewel, the Clark/Division Red Line Stop, the 156 LaSalle Bus, Blockbuster, Osco, Walgreens, Starbucks, the Lake... a few blocks to Michigan Avenue. In addition, the building itself used to be a hotel, so there is concrete in every direction. For the most part, your upstairs neighbor could be slaughtering cattle in their living room, and you would not hear it.”
