“Living at 441 Oakdale has been a wonderful experience so far. I am relatively new to the building but I'm already quite impressed with many different features of the property. The 24-hour building maintenance is consistently excellent. Whenever I am in need of repairs, no matter the size of the project, the handyman is quickly dispersed to my apartment and performs a thorough job. I feel good knowing my personal space will be well taken care of. The building itself is always quiet and impeccably clean. Many young professionals reside here and a general atmosphere of respect is imperative. I love coming home in the evenings to a peaceful spot. The on-site laundry facility is a lifesaver and saves so much time! I definitely don't miss lugging bag of clothing to the nearest public laundry. As with the entire building, the facilities are clean, modern, and well-tended to. The machines are up to date and work very well. My apartment itself is an oasis in the middle of bustling Chicago. A spacious bathroom and kitchen can be hard to find in apartments and I relish mine at 441 Oakdale. It is easy to keep a clean, well-organized home with so much space. Overall 441 Oakdale provides privacy with stellar conveniences.”
— 441 W OAKDALE AVE · Lakeview“In my 17 years of living in Chicago, 441 W. Oakdale is the nicest building I've ever lived in. It's a Planned Property Management building, and everything is updated and well-maintained. You can see on their website just how nice all of their buildings are which is what drew me to them in the first place. It's located in the ideal East Lakeview neighborhood, with everything you could possibly need or want within walking distance. Shopping, restaurants, theaters, Wrigley Field, Lake Michigan... you name it! It's a short walk to the train and steps to multiple main bus routes. This building also has covered parking and bike storage if you need it. My boyfriend and I share a huge one bedroom that easily fits a king size bed, plus multiple dressers and nightstands. If you like to entertain, the living room has plenty of space for your entertainment center and sectional sofa, or multiple sofas and chairs. There are six large closets, plus on-site storage to store all of your stuff. There is a good-sized kitchen and bathroom that are both updated with modern fixtures and new flooring. The wall-to-wall windows let in lots of light, and there are beautiful views of the city from the upper floors. Our apartment doesn't have a balcony, but the upper floor apartments do. The laundry room is on the first floor. It s $1.50 to wash and $1.50 to dry, which is reasonable compared to some places. There s also a 24/7 dry cleaning service available that will pick up and drop off your clothes. One of my favorite things about this place is that we can't hear our neighbors (up, down, or adjacent). Noise has been an issue in almost every apartment I've lived in, but not here. We're on a lower floor facing the street so we sometimes hear noise from the street, but it s generally pretty quiet. I m always concerned about safety whenever looking for an apartment, and I feel very safe here. There are security cameras at all the entrances and throughout the lobby, and three locks on our door. I was worried about the move-in process because it s a congested area and not a lot of parking. They told us we could park right in the driveway and gave us a key to hold the elevator while we loaded and unloaded it, which made the process very easy. Our friendly building manager is on-site daily and he's just a phone call away anytime you need help with anything. In fact, all of the PPM staff we've encountered have been very friendly, accommodating, and quick to respond. It's not easy to find an apartment in Chicago that isn't falling apart, and a lot of times you have to settle on something that you don't love. If you re looking for a spacious, well-maintained apartment, in a great neighborhood, and a good property manager, then I highly recommend 441 W. Oakdale.”
