The good reviews are a church advertising and probably THE COMPANY (The Mills) trying to make themselves look good.. It's all lies. There is Rent Increase constantly. They are trying to make the outside look good, but the inside has problems that are covered with some paint. Mold, mildew, structural problems, foundation problems, Rude office people and everyone refuses to give you the Management Company's Information. When you do get the information, nothing happens anyway. The crime rate is not any better, someone tried to break into my vehicle, the neighbors truck was stolen, the other neighbors television and computer was stolen and there is more.... Remember: Crime, Rent Increase, Make it look pretty to cover the problems, maintenance is minimal so problems continue, occasional security during the day, we need security all the time... it's not safe here, there are too many problem to list, drugs, drug dealers, drunks, trash everyday, condoms on the sidewalk, loitering all day and all night, prostitution in the parking lot, GOD help us all. Move to The Mills and become a victim of CRIME and RENT INCREASE

Short story, I asked the property manager a question in regards to my needing 4 days extra for paying my rent because I recently had a family member pass and helped with the funeral arrangements. She rudely told me that people die everyday and if everyone on the property had this problem then no money would be collected!!! I was apalled and I will be reporting her. This is not the first time that I have been aware of her negative or rude acts!! Someone please do something about Ms. Sanders please and thank you.

Obviously when you DO NOT pay your rent,you brake rules or are in default or fault for some reason, you would be upset. Anger does not let you think rationally or act as well. I believe most of the comments in this page are ridiculous and so far dated. Why is it that humans are quick to complaint or point out the bad or worse but lack in promptness when it comes to pointing out the good, the positive side of everything in general. This community has made a great and positive change. The crime rate as we once knew it has reduced a whole lot. It seems as if they brought under cover officers, pin point the bad apples and got them arrested.. The lights are working all nite and all time. Officers are now seen walking the property... I actually feel good about this place now. I am glad this is happening, because this is a beautiful property at some point it was loosing potential but a month back has really shown improvement... Management here is all new.... I know they have changed managers several times, but I think they finally got the right team on board. The spirit in the office is positive now, you can actually feel welcome. They are having meetings... the pools are about to be opened....our fitness center is finally available for us.. The people that live here are so much happier that you can actually feel it in the atmosphere. I am renewing my lease... no rent increase.... got my carpet cleaned...my walls painted...with a real pretty accent color that matches my furniture...and I got bunch of freebies... To all you guys in the office.. THANK YOU FROM MANY HAPPY RESIDENTS.. PLEASE DO NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE....A LOT OF US ARE FINALLY FEELING SAFE AND HAPPY...

The Mills Apartments have improve in a big way and is in NO WAY related to any of these comments. We have to understand that when rules are broken by a resident then management has to act upon them so we can continue to give our current families a beautiful and comfortable home. When management has to act on those who brake rules and regulations, obviously they will be upset and will write comments like the ones you find here. Furthermore; THE MILLS APARTMENTS is one of the nicest and friendly community in the southwest region of houston. We treat every one with exceptional respect and courtesy and we do BELEIVE in taking good care of our residents and their families. We have improved our community tremendously, our residents love it... they enjoy every single aspect of this community.... And you can trust that our office and maintenance staff are here to assist you and do what ever it takes to make you happy. Dont go by hear and say ...come visit for yourself or call if you like 713-995-1171. Thank you to all of our residents who are so great with us.... thank you for keeping this community clean.... for taken care of your home....for being polite all the time...and for being so friendly with your neighbors... Thank You...from the bottom of our hearts, The Mills Apts.

All I can say is MOVE IN IF YOU WANT TO all of your belongs will be taken in broad daylight.....before I moved out I had 6 empty apartments around me. I was there (Feb 09- Aug09 with a 13month lease) No one last long here TRUST ME

This place is way below standards of living conditions. I strongly suggest to lift up all of the old paint. You would probably find MOLD and MILDEW. The ac unit is very old and it pulls more energy then its supposed to. Complaints mean nothing here, they only try to cover their faults by blaming others. Say you make an complaint about your light bill. Its 209 for 1 bed room. That is no way when you grew up conserving energy. They will blame Centerpoint. You call Centerpoint to fix your situation and they tell you the true problem and now youre going back and forth like you some type of child and theyre your overseers. I will not even start to comment on the B...... in the office. I am not saying these words in a derogatory way i mean it by its true definition. Whoever the dude is that owns these apartments needs to come check his real estate and the people he chooses to hire. This was the Worse Experience Of My Whole Life. They trick people with their little special then they raise the rent then claim you owe late charges. My rent went from 469 to 555. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!

I lived at the Mills for 6 years and recently found out that i owe the Mills 179.00. I was never communicated to that i owe them for some repair (according to the person that i spoke with), after i left the apartment. I found out through my credit report and this is not funny. i am still waiting for a call back from the management to resolve this issue.

I lived at the Mills for one year from 2007 to 2008 and I couldn't wait until my lease was up. First of all, my apartment was crawling with small roaches. In fact, maintenance was apparently aware of this problem from the last tenant because there were dead roaches still left in the apartment the day I moved in! I found a HUGE one in a cabinet drawer in the bathroom. I was appalled that it was just left there for me to find. My apartment was exterminated but it didn't help at all. I just kept my apartment very clean and invested in some bottles of roach spray. Second, I couldn't use my DAMN oven! I had sparks that would appear every time I tried to use the oven. I called maintenance and all they did was replace one of the burners on top of the stove. The problem was never fixed. Third, at night when responsible residents are asleep because they have an 8-hour work day to deal with the next day, the rude residents would decide to argue loudly outside and want to fight each other. One night I was awaken by a crazy women screaming at the top of lungs looking for her daughter in one of the apartments beneath me. Another resident told the woman to shut up and go home. Lastly, the laundry facilities were crappy! They were very dirty and always had broken machines. When I was living there we had a security guard at the front gate but he was a young guy and eventually he was gone and never replaced. Also, for those who don't know this but when you ask your electric company to cut off your lights the apartment's electric company will automatically turn on their lights. So make sure the day you move out is the day your lights are scheduled to be turned off and give the apartment keys back. The only one good thing was that the rent was cheap but you know the old saying "You get want you pay for". Only stay here if you are desperate otherwise just keep looking!

This place isn't all that bad. Safety looks like it'd be an issue, but overall, it's not. Like I siad, can't say that this is the greatest of all apartment complexes. But if you're afirst time renter, this will work for you.
