I purchased a condo at The Lofts on Post Oak in 2007 and have resided there since. It's a WONDERFUL place to live. I purchased my condo there because of the security. I have always felt safe. The people who live there are extremely friendly and many of my neighbors have become close friends. I serve on one of the committees and participate in the board meetings. No building is perfect, we had to change management companies and now have Rise is place. They are very professional and quick to resolve any conflicts. As much as we welcome renters, we have a 30% cap and have strict guidelines in place to protect renters and homeowners. The building is beautifully maintained and secured. It is also pet friendly (dog parks) and perfect for families, singles, and secondary homes. It has been a desirable building because of the location and low HOA fees. I HIGHLY suggest it as a vibrant and remarkable place to live!!- Sarah Ghandour

I have lived at 1901 since 2012 and will address the issues in recent reviews. All of the problems in the building begin and end with Mark Shearer. He was the most incompetent and useless manager the building has ever had in its history. He was recently transferred out of the building due to numerous complaints by residents. I hope now the building will return to its former glory. I am very disappointed to hear about the vehicle that was recently stolen from our normally secure garage. They will need to upgrade the camera system in the building from what I understand. As far as the other issues: Drug dealing - No. People buying drugs but that's at every building in the Galleria area. Woman assaulted in the hallway - Never heard of the assault. Every resident gets a weekly newsletter and something that serious would have been mentioned. Unit break ins - Since I've been here 3 or 4 (in an 8 year period and some had special circumstances according to the police reports) Noise - Yes, but nothing you wouldn't here in another building in the area. If you don't like noise move to the country. I will reiterate that all of the problems over the last two years can be contributed to Mark Shearer. The rest of the staff are very attentive and helpful.

Absolutely horrible living. There are several people dealing drugs. People are literally yelling all night long amd making phone calls on their balconies. The police have been called for numerous issues including robberies, car theft, and a woman was assaulted in the hallways. Don't worry though there is a camera for the trash, but not in the hallways to keep you safe. The staff let's their friends do whatever they want including stealing parking spaces for a week. The interior noise is horrible. If the upstairs person uses the washer you can't hear your TV and the it sounds like someone is pounding on your head if someone walks across the room. We can hear our neighbors through the walls when their on the phone. You can hear the upstairs person use the toilet. Which is disgusting. We live on the second and our assigned parking is on the 6th. Oh, I forgot to mention the construction and the Realtor never disclosed it. Starts at 7am and they continue singing and yelling until 5 or 6pm. They are also building on next door and that construction is supposed to be much noisier than the exterior facelift. Run as fast as you can from this place. All this happened our first 2 weeks here.

Heed my advice, look elsewhere at the new developments in the area before considering Lofts on Post Oak as your future home. Property management and maintenance do not take responsibility for their negligence and do the bare minimum. I’ve lived at this property several years and with the change in management there have been negative impacts to the livelihood around the property. Dan Westman was an amazing general manager and would actually communicate with residents. The new manager Mark Shearer will avoid communicating when there is an issue at all costs. Three weeks ago from this post there was a pipe that burst from their negligence that resulted in a traumatic flood and ruined my unit. The way that LOPO management handled this situation, I would not expect at a luxurious condominium property. A week after suffering with potential water damage, dehumidifiers and machines that tripled my electricity, they finally started the demo. I’m living in an unlivable unit with no kitchen, flooring, walls, or ceiling. Now three weeks after their negligence they have a construction crew that tells me I can’t live in my home that I paid for because it is unlivable and a construction zone, but what did LOPO do? Nothing! They did not offer any type of assistance. I hope my experience doesn’t happen to anybody, but if you want to be taken care of by management of your home, look elsewhere at the newer developments in the area. Heed my advice please!

I've been living at the Lofts for about 2.5 years. The staff used to be irresponsible and none of the common areas (like the gym or pool) were kept up. But after the new board changed the management company about 1 yr ago, the building has had great improvements! I totally see the improvements ...we now have all new grills, maintained pools and pool furniture, new equipment at the gym and the staff is a lot more helpful. These improvements were definitely overdue! There's more of a community now too with monthly gatherings and holiday parties for the building. The only complaint I would have is the distance from the front lobby to the apt but it's super close when I enter from the garage entrance which I usually use most of anyway.

I have lived in the lofts for about 2 years now. As you can imagine, living with 500 people requires its compromises. Noise is pretty good. I only hear noise above me when the woman there is walking in high heels on the hardwood floor. Below me, my neighbor liked to rock his bass out a bit before I knocked on his door and talked to him. It hasn't been a problem since. The front desk and especially valets are amazing; constantly going out of their way to help and be friendly. The location is great, particularly when BLVD place finally opens. Even now I walk to Randalls, The Fresh Market, Panera, and Starbucks. Safety is very good. Off duty, armed Houston Police patrol the hallways after the HOA replaced the 'rent-a-cops' we had before with a pricier (and much better) option. I haven't heard of any crime at all occurring at the lofts in over a year (many people with convertibles in the parking garage leave the top down...and they're ferraris...it's that safe). The place isn't perfect. Nothing is. But it's very good. Noise is minimal, people keep to themselves, the management company workers are mostly friendly and helpful, and I lead an enjoyable life in the middle of uptown.

This place needs a lot of work! The staff, the gym, the amenities. Etc.

I liked the complex when I moved in - location, design and convenience are all pluses. It's the residents that concern me. Despite reminders from the LOPO management to the contrary, I have observed on multiple occasions residents with their dogs IN the pool (not the area, but actually swimming in the water). I have called to complain when I've seen the instances, but now I've given up. One of the reminders mentioned that dog fecal matter was found in a pool (which was later drained). Point is, I thought this was supposed to be an upscale community. Also, between August 23 and August 28 there have been 6 reported break ins (less than a week!!!). Management has been good about communicating with the residents and increasing patrols, but it's a little scary receiving emails from managment about *crime alerts*.

I recently moved to the LOPO. It has been a great experience. I agree that the front desk can be a bit hit or miss, but the rest of the employees are quite good, particularly maintenance. The units have a good degree of soundproofing and most noise is unheard unless it is directly above. Parking is assigned and secure, and courtesy guards patrol the corridors during the nights. I personally find most residents to be friendly and the amenities are great.
