I have been a resident here over two years. Always paid my rent on time and even early as I am out of town a lot. In the first month after I moved in, a catalytic converter was being sawed off a Toyota Prius under bedroom window at 3:00am. I woke up at 5:00am this month to discover thieves on my patio stealing my property. Another neighbor also had his brand-new Toyota Tundra's catalytic convertor sawed off this month. Three days later a gang came drove into the property and were stealing wheels off of of my neighbors Honda accord. We also now have a noisy bar and a pot-bong shop across the street, selling crack pipes and bongs. I feel like my life is in danger living here now. I can't wait until my lease is up so I can have some peace someplace else.

Luxury apartments?? No security maybe that's why many residents have cameras anyone can enter complex (side gate open during tour) Leasing staff is beyond rude and never open/close on time. I called for information Rita very rude while speaking over phone. While viewing property dog feces everywhere, first floor reeks of marijuana smell, multiple trash bags left outside residents homes, and gym? Haha make sure you get a membership somewhere. 1 toured other complexes in area over the last month and this one is lowest on list.

DO NOT RENT HERE. YOU WILL NOT HAVE AIR CONDITIONING, THAT IS A LIE. YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE EXTERMINATIONS PER THE LEASE, THAT IS A LIE. YOU WILL SUFFER FROM BED BUGS, FLEAS, TICS, ROACHES, SPIDERS, SNAKES FROM THE BAYOU, AND THAT IS ONLY TO NAME A FEW. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY, IT IS THE WORST OF THE WORST KIND OF SCAM, THE CHEATING OF A DIGNIFIED WAY OF LIVING.

Not only do these scuzzy apartments look scary and are falling apart, I did a sex offender search and this is the sex offender hub. These apartments are dangerous and need to go. Do not live here.

What makes this place so bad is that the management, mainly Mr. Paul Jacobson treats his tenants like they are dirt. Instead of treating his paying tenants with respect and dignity, he treats them as dogs. Instead of protecting them, he tries to find all the ways he can to nickel and dime them, to get every last cent he can. Don't get me started on how the place is falling apart. That would be because the management is only concerned with collecting cash, not maintaining the grounds, and the apartments themselves. People went for three months in 2008 without hot water. Most of the units are experiencing some type of problem whether it is faulty circuit breaker box, or non working air conditioning system, to sewage backing up in the kitchen sink, you can find it all here at Skylane West. Don't move here, it really sucks. And if you live here now, move out as soon as you can cause it will only get worse for you.

The management started off great then switched management properties and the NEW manager does not care for the property and people. The Neighbors are horrible and there is drugs going through there and she won't do anything about it because she will not have any occupants left. (her words) So she is fully aware of what goes on. There are too many people in small apartments. The complex is in a great neighborhood but if the apartments continue to be that way then that won't stay the nice. Not recommended for anyone with a family. It has become more like a drug complex.

Management is horrible I moved there in desperations needed a place quickly. The tenants burn down one of the buildings there. The manager there doesn't know anything. There are children galore that runs around making all kinds of noise. The upstairs tenants kid have ADD would run constantly in the apartment upstairs. The place is horrible if you have to live under those conditions I understand but if you don't keep looking. Cars also were broken into mine wasn't thank god.
