They will promise you services that they don't provide.. They say they have fire pits that never worked. They changed the pool and club room hours after making me sign property rules that stated I could use the pool/ club room at anytime. Some of the management are rather rude and gummy. when my air conditioner stop working they didn't fix if for 3 days, this clearly suggests that they don't care. It was very difficult for me to sleep and stay in my apartment because it was to hot.I had to spend 3 nights at a friends place. The BBQ grill was out of order for 4 weeks and they only have One BBQ grill for 396 units. Parking used to be fine but now that people are moving in its getting worse. My friend who moved out of the montage about 5 months ago still didn't get his deposit back and they didn't even attempt to contact him. You will constantly hear ambulances at night heading to the medical center and motorcycles and cars speeding on 288. My friends got stuck in the elevator for a little over 3 hours and the management didn't care to at least give me a verbal apology. FORGET ABOUT YOUR CELL PHONE. It will not work 90% of the time- No signal. look around they are plenty of nice apartments.

About a month ago we moved to the Montage or Mosaic whichever you want to call it and we LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very attentive staff, always friendly and smiling, willing to help so much that we have yet to bring our own groceries up. Most important to me is the clean swimming pool, gym, common areas etc. I came from another high rise also very new and what a complete nightmare. We are excited to be here if you are thinking of moving here feel free to contact me I am in unit number 21904 you can ask for me at the conciere desk and they will call up. Good luck!! Matthew

I have lived here now for a week and love it. It has been everything that I have expected and more. The staff is soooo nice and so are the people that live here. For those of you that think this is a staff member posting, it is not. I moved into 21907 and I love it. I am posting some pictures of my apartment for potential renters that want to see what a 1 bdr looks like with furniture. It was hard to imagine my furniture in there when I was looking so I hope this helps someone else. Edit**Well, I uploaded pictures but they haven't posted yet. We'll see if show up.

I've lived in the Montage/Mosaic for just about a year. I have now gotten to the point where I can't wait go leave. Recently the staff has changed for the 3RD TIME!!! Every time the staff changes the residents have to pay for it. Recently I've noticed I'm paying the same amount for my tiny apartment and getting less than when I arrived. Amenities are being taken away and we're not even being told about it until we need or want them. The staff has the kind of attitude that resembles someone who really hates life. Here are a few examples: one maintenance guy parks his suv in the resident entrance/exit driveway. It's parked in a way that causes so many problems with entering and leaving obviously and a danger hazard to those walking their dogs. His car is so big that you can't see around it when cars are passing, and a dog could easily be (3ft standard leash size) ahead of it's owner and get hit. Also wait time for the elevators have DOUBLED cause maintenance feels that they are so busy they need their own. I was recently told it's always been a service elevator. I then pointed out that when taking out the rug and wall padding hanging it becomes a nice elevator and when i moved in it was a normal resident elevator with same decor as the others. Previous management had arranged times for movers to reserve that elevator. Our "Valet" company is a JOKE! Almost every time I walk through the lobby (out or in the front doors) rarely is there a person holding the door open. Isn't that the point of having them and living in a "Luxury apartment?" One day I came in and someone was just sitting at the desk looking at me as I had all my hands full, then had to put things down. The person at the desk didn't even move and then made a joke about all the stuff I had as I walked by. When you call for a grocery cart they no longer help you move anything to your apt. They simply drop off the cart in the elevator waiting area and leave! We are now being told to remove items from our patios incase a hurricane between now and 7:30pm even though the hurricane (Alex) won't even be effecting us. Not even the tropical storm winds. However they feel that if we don't remove items we will be penalized with a $150 fine! I agree for big storms and beyond the removal of items should be a must, but threatening your residents with a fine is the least professional move i have ever experienced. Another thing I noticed, this building isn't even near full, and some people here feel the need to park as if they are the only ones. When complaining about it, I was told they can't put sticker warnings on any cars so people continue to do it. You'll notice moving in here that you will have to park on a high floor even though not many cars are in the parking lot. Every time I bring up an issue it is brushed. To me the current staff doesn't really care for it's residents. (Except for a few who have been here since the beginning) I think when you come to this property you are amazed at how new and nice it is, but once the novelty wears off, you'll notice the kind of people that live and work here are probably not the kind of people you would choose to be surrounded by. I'm not the kind to only write the bad things. I have written previous reviews when I first moved in. I still think the place "looks" nice thanks to the builders but whoever owns and operates it, has no clue what they are doing. Don't believe me, look a little more into Montage of Houston or Mosaic Towers in the Houston Chronicle and Houston Press and read all the reviews.

It's a great apartment complex. Honestly, they have sooo many accomodations and are much cheaper than any other fancy apartment complex in Houston. There is free valet, a coffee room, a spacious gym, a kickboxing area, a dance room, a sauna, a steam room, a GRAND swimming pool, caring staff, and much more! The location is perfect, as well. You're near the museums district, near downtown, 30 min drive(depending on your driving skills) to Galveston/Kemah where you can rent boats, jet skis, walk the boardwalk and enjoy GREAT seafood. The other tenants are friendly and are NOT snobby like they are near the galleria area or midtown. Although they do have some bad eggs, you can complain to the concierge and it is immediately taken care of. All of your inquiries are taken seriously and your satisfaction is guaranteed. Mosaic staff is a bit harder to deal with and have been known to not be the best of the best, but I believe they have new management and they have been working with the Montage residents now, because now Montage is called Mosaic 2, and seem to be very accomodating, as well. The only issue for some people would be, that it's not fully occupied. It is only 40% occupied. But I LOVE this! There is more detail to my personal needs and they are very attentive to all of their residents more. Parking is great and is only a hassle when people are turning around corners. But that's not the apartments fault, it's the drivers fault for not paying attention to the mirrors posted on all of the corners in the parking garage.

Don't get me wrong, I like it here. I've been here a little over 6 months and since moving in, management has changed 3 times. After looking into why I understand it had mostly to do with the Mosaic next door being bought out by different investors and banks and yatta yatta yatta. I am extremely happy with the staff that is in place now. Any complaint I put in gets addressed immediately, and all the concierge/valet staff go beyond their jobs to make things easier for the residents. I really felt like this place was making a step forward for the residents. When I moved in, I was told about a lot of events, amenities, and business (that would be opening up on the 1st floor) that never took off. I felt that the staff was really trying to get something going. I guess only time will tell what the new staff is capable of doing. I still do recommend moving here to all my friends, and hopefully we'll upgrade apartments and renew.

I have been here for a while now and every since Laramar has been here...the changes have been great...I could not be more satisfied. Great staff makes happy residents and they go over and beyond to make sure Montage stays top quaility and residents remain happy. The manager ---- is an excellent manager, I have experienced many managers....but none like him...he is a great guy, and he is very nice. I have been spoiled since I've been here and could not imagine what things would be like if they staff was not here...the management and staff here rocks! I love it!

Montage is an excellent apartment highrise with great views of the city. The management team is very responsive to requests and very helpful. All requests are dealt with quickly and professionally. Ample parking is available and very secure. The lobby staff and valet service are very helpful and courteous. Overall, a great experience.

I recently visited the Montage in hopes of leasing an apartment. The leasing staff was very helpful in setting up a time for me to view multiple apartments, and really went out of their way to make me feel welcome. They responded to e-mails in a timely manner, and made sure to answer any questions I had. After selecting an apartment and putting down an application/admin fee ($200) as well as a deposit fee ($250). A few days later, after reviewing my budget, I realized that I would not be able to move after all. I e-mailed the leasing staff and explained the situation. The contemplated lease contract had stated that both fees may or may not be refunded (neither of which I expected to be at the time). I understood that the application/admin fee would most likely not be able to be refunded, as a credit check and application approval had already taken place. I was very happy however, that they had the decency to refund my deposit money. All in all, my communication with the Montage was a very positive one. I would recommend at least going to check them out for yourself, that way hopefully you can have the same experience I did.
