THIS APARTMENT IS INFESTED WITH MOLD! Cheaply made apartments and horrible management. IfI give this place zero stars, I would. Moving into this apartment was one of the worst experiences of my life. From the very beginning, I asked about mold because I have mold hypersensitivity and asthma, and management assured me there was none. That turned out to be completely false. Within 2 months mold became a major issue, and despite having professional mold reports proving the presence of mold, the management refused to even use the word mold. They danced around it and tried to cover it up instead of addressing it properly. Mold was professionally found all over the apartment and in the air from two companies I hired and payed out of pocket. I let them know of the severity of my symptoms, vomiting, hives, rashes, fever, brain fog, etc along with doctor notes, reports and medications. Legally, I was forced to allow them to attempt repairs, but they brought in unlicensed workers (I have recordings proving this) who only made the problem worse. Their so-called repairs spread the mold further into my clothes, furniture, and the air itself. Eventually, I had to throw away nearly all my belongings. I was displaced, had nowhere to live, and ended up spending thousands of dollars staying in hotels while also having to hire a lawyer just to affirm my rights. Management refused to provide any accommodations despite my repeated requests. Reena, the manager, in particular, was shockingly disrespectful and unprofessional. When I went into the office to calmly ask for a written plan of action, she repeatedly interrupted me, dismissed my concerns, and even accused me of harassment just for asking legitimate questions. Whats worse is that after digging deeper, I found that Gables management has a history of covering up mold problems by simply painting and caulking over it. Neighbors confirmed that other tenants have been forced to move out for the exact same reason. Everything looks fine on the surface when you move in, but its just cosmetic. This company has cost me thousands of dollars, destroyed my personal belongings, displaced me from my home, and caused an enormous amount of stress and health problems. I am pursuing legal action against them in small claims court, and I will be attaching my mold report as proof for anyone who doubts this review. Please do yourself a favor and stay FAR away from this apartment and from Gables properties in general. They are negligent, dishonest, and dangerous to live under. If it wasnt for my lawyer Id still be stuck in this hellhole of an apartment

I called the leasing office to confirm the ceiling height on floors 2 and 3 because the unit I was interested in was on floor 2. The leasing agent I talked to confirmed the ceiling height is 10ft on both floors. When I toured the apartment the next day, I spoke to another leasing agent who also confirmed the ceiling height was 10ft. During the tour, I measured two different units and the hallway on the second floor and every measurement came out to 8 3/4ft ceilings. The leasing agent was shocked because they are told to tell potential renters 10ft ceilings. My situation led me to believe the leasing agents are intentionally misinformed by management. This sleazy interaction with the leasing office led me to rent elsewhere. Definitely NOT up to standard.

Management refuses to have ANY security measures put into place after a wave of break-ins, car thefts, and vandalism. Simply put, slumlords! Beware, and its over five thousand dollars to break your lease. Disgusting!

My experience at this complex started out great, but really went downhill during my lease. The new management is very unfriendly and unhelpful for resolving issues. The former manager promised me a longer lease & the new manager would not honor it. During my time living here, the garage handle to the door was broken(with managements knowledge) and it fell on my leg leaving a bruise and cut. Management didn’t care and just told me the door would he fixed. Now after moving out I am being charged unfair fees. On top of the management, the property has gone downhill. The hallways and elevators are grimy, and amenities appliances are often broken. The doors to building don’t shut all the way posing a security threat because anybody can walk in. There aren’t many great things I can say about this complex anymore.

Moved in at the end of September 2021 in the short time I have lived in the Standard in the Heights it has been a nightmare, I have had not one but two vehicles stolen from the parking garage to make matters worse the security cameras don’t work or record footage as they are suppose to . It is not safe to live here any crime that is occurring management is not notifying tenants .I have lost several thousands of dollars in unrecoverable damages save your money and don’t waste your time management is no help , and like Manager on site Larry said they do not have to time to look at camera footage when residents vehicles are stolen or when crime is occurring at property .

There is a mold issue in part of the complex. Originally, I had given my experience here 5 stars but the way the management company has treated me and my neighbors during this mold situation has been so unfair and unkind. It has been many months since I have asked for the mold to be remedied or at the very least to be transferred to a different unit that does not have mold and we are still waiting. Apparently the building wasn’t made well so the ceiling has a mold problem that I was told has trickled into the HVAC or something like that. The smell, the health issues, the personal damages — not the standard we were hoping for. Now, the leasing agents here are so kind so I don’t want this to come off on them. It’s even hard to write this because I don’t want to put this on them. It’s the management company that seems to be the issue. I’ve been patient throughout this process and have waited for it to be fixed but not being able to live in your unit for months while still being asked to pay rent is just unfair. The complex itself is great and I’m sad that I’ve had this experience because I was really enjoying my time there but RPM needs to value their customers more. I’ve called them multiple times and have not received a call back. I’m sharing this so that no one else has to experience what me and my neighbors have experienced - health issues, personal damages…not fun :/ I’m really hoping RPM treats their customers better than this.

Maintenance is absolutely horrible. Takes days to get anything done and nothing is fixed as it should be. For a brand new complex, I have has multiple issues. Staff takes absolutely no responsibility for issues.
