“The first floor apartments are below street level, they flooded and now everything is stinking! There are rotten steps on the side of the building, trees and sidewalk aren't maintained and now doors have been left open and building is abandoned.”
— 4510 Briar Hollow Pl · Houston“I have lived at Treetops for 16 months now. I have to say in the beginning I was not happy because I had been at my previous residence for 13 years. Now that I've been there a while I am completely happy and am very glad to have made Treetops my home. The staff has been nothing but kind to me. Priscilla really goes out of her way to accommodate her residents and is so nice to everyone. When one of my dogs passed away suddenly she and the staff sent me a sweet card! Dennis is very good about calling you when you have a package delivered (I forget these things) and they'll even take it to your apartment! Tomas and Maria are absolutely delightful! Tomas handles every maintenance issue (even after hours a/c calls) :) with a smile on his face and gets things done perfectly! My tiny dog goes bananas when she sees Maria cleaning and has to give her kisses! There has never really been any issue with noise (you live in an apartment so some noise is expected) and I have always felt very safe here, even late at night! The neighbors are friendly and I've made some great friends! Oh! And did I mention every few months they have breakfast for the residents, maybe pizza for dinner one night, Christmas parties and other get togethers? Another bonus! Every apartment seems to have something unique about it which is pretty cool. I really like my current unit which is located next to the elevator, laundry room and trash chute which has been AWESOME:) but I'm transferring to a different unit so my tiny dog can have a little yard. I plan on staying here as long as they'll let me! :)”
— 4510 Briar Hollow Pl · Houston“I used this site in apartment hunting and feel that I must help the community find a great place to live, just as I have benefited from others' contributions! I've been living here since August 2014. Neighborhood Can you get much better than this area? I can literally walk to the Galleria and a nearby Target. I'm surrounded by lush trees, posh folks, and friendly neighbors. I am spoiled by the neighborhood. Never had any problems with anybody in the complex because they are equally easy-going, positive, friendly, and ambitious professionals. Safety This was a particularly important metric for me. I have felt very safe here. There are no break-ins or anything to be frightened of here. There is a gate to get into the complex, then even more locked doors to get further into the exterior of the complex, and then more locked doors to get into the apartments inside of the building. It's very safe around here. Maintenance Tomas, the maintenance man here, is absolutely the best. He is friendly, attentive to needs, and gets things done in no time. He will always take a moment out of his day to talk to you. It's really comforting to have a friend like that keeping care of the place. Noise We are far from the roads, so no noise from cars. The only other source of noise I can possibly think of that would affect an apartment would be neighbors, but when you have professional neighbors (many couples, too) like the ones here, you can count on serenity 365 days a year. Grounds Tomas and the other guys the complex contracts (?) with keep the place looking charming and lush. The flora and fauna are always looking clean, no messy leaves covering the lot. Laundry room on site works fine. Pool is clean. Grilling area and patio is clean and functional all the time. Office Staff Priscilla is very, very friendly and will help you out any way she can. I am thankful for having such wonderful staff to manage the complex, I imagine unfriendly staff making for a hostile place to live. Thankfully that's not how it is here. Great place to live, would live here again if I wasn't moving!”
— 4510 Briar Hollow Pl · Houston“I moved in this new year and so far everything has been great. Best part is reserved parking since everyone gets an assigned spot I never have to worry about people parking in my spot or having a spot. If I have friends over they just park on the street. Plus you need a remote to get in AND out of gate which I love. Staff is always friendly and helpful and they accept packages in the front which is awesome because I get alot of packages =) one of my stove burners wasn't working so I just called and told the girl on the phone and maintenance came out the next day! Maintenance man is very friendly and polite too. I live in a one bedroom and my apartment is spacious for the square footage. Gym is small and quiet which is great for when I actually do get around to working out. I dont really hear my neighbors so cant complain about noise and since the complex is so small I cant imagine anyone else having issues. The property is older but it is kept up with so well and the price is really really great for the area. Last but not least super dog friendly place allows big dogs when most places only take the little ones =)”
— 4510 Briar Hollow Pl · Houston“The Tree Tops has been a great home to me for the past couple of years. It's an awesome location and price for what you're getting. I have an assigned spot inside the property, which is gated so no fighting for spots. Which has been a huge problem for me at previous apartments! Everything is inside the building (ex: mailboxes, laundry room, stairs/elevator) so it's always easy to get to wherever you're going without having to worry about the weather. Mainly I really like how small it is, so I've been able to get to know my neighbors or at least be familiar with the people who surround me. I love this place, and will be staying as long as I can!!”
— 4510 Briar Hollow Pl · Houston“I lived here for 2 years - under previous management and current management. Both have been very responsive to requests and neighbors are great. Plus it's is great location and the way prices are going in the area it is worth it to live here in small quiet community that is well maintained. They will deliver packages to your apartment if you request them to do so if you can't make it to office during office hours. Very nice. Always fix things in timely and respectful manner. It is really friendly community - have made good friends here. The pool area is great. So close to 610 but without the noise. I would recommend moving to tree tops.”
— 4510 Briar Hollow Pl · Houston“I would suggest you to live here if you work close by the Galleria. Two main factors are the location and safety. It's super convenient to go everywhere you want: groceries, shopping, foods, and parks. You can always get away from heavy traffic on 610 by local roads. Safety: as the apartment is mostly surrounded by offices, I've never heard of any break-ins. The community is gated so you and your car is safe at night. In addition, the staff here is super friendly. Nancy she's always smiling and helpful. The maintenance guy is also great. You can always expect your service request to be taken care of by the next day. Even though the building is old, it's very well kept. It's worth the price you pay for! I have lived at Tree Tops a little over 7 years. My years here have been wonderful! The location, affordability, and friendly staff have all played an important role in my pervious decisions to stay. As my life is changing, so are my accommodation requirements. I have lived at Tree Tops longer than I have lived any where. The Friends I have made through this community will be Life Long and this is an opportunity to say so. I was raised, and believe: Home is where you hang your heart!!! Thank you Tree Tops”
— 4510 Briar Hollow Pl · Houston“Great Community, care for the residents and do a great job at it. Thanks!!”
— 4510 Briar Hollow Pl · Houston“I have lived at Tree Tops for quite some time. I have seen changes in managers and the recent change in management, and I continue to stay here. The property is well kept, and maintenance is prompt and efficient. There is a community feel which the management works hard to maintain with monthly social events and introductions whenever people are in the office. Although the buildings are older, they are solid. I never hear my neighbors through the walls or ceiling. Additional benefits of Tree Tops include the convenient access to the West Loop, bars and restaurants within walking distance, nearby parks (small one very close by and Memorial Park down the 610 feeder), and the pet friendly policy (we are a crime-free zone thanks in part to dogs on the premises).”

— 4510 Briar Hollow Pl · Houston“I lived @ the Tree Tops for 18 Months from Feb. 12 to Aug. 2013. At first, the fact that I was on the bottom floor and could have a BBQ grill sold me. Now that I look back, it was just two large rooms with an attached kitchen and a bathroom. Everything was shamelessly dated and declared "new" with fake hardwood floors and plastic "granite" counter tops. When I moved in, the management (Jose and Cindy) were genuine, honest and downright good to deal with. Nevertheless, it was quiet and charming. Venterra sold the property in 2013 to a private investor and hired Greystar to manage it. They put Liu and Nancy in charge, and painted the workout room and added some chairs to the pool. The problems with busted pipes (happened to my girlfriend, water coming out of the walls and happened to me while on a work trip), bat infestation, flooding hallways (next to the bayou) and everything else came with it. To make matters worse, management seemed inept and unprofessional. Throughout this time, Venterra/Private Investor wanted higher and higher rents. Came in at $1,015 (already too high), then to $1,130, and finally to the last offer of $1,205(At which time I moved out) for a 650 sq. ft. place. The remaining good things: Nice trees which earns it its name. Nice location to 610 if you work at the Williams Tower Very low key area because there's mostly office buildings If you can get a patio, you can legally grill (10ft). Tomas the maintenance person has good work ethic and is a good guy.”
— 4510 Briar Hollow Pl · Houston“I wanted to give the management team a chance but they have failed me. I have to say the new management team is very unprofessional. They did give the apartment complex some new looks but everything is superficial. Let me tell you what pissed me off. First, cleanness. The carpet in the hallway was once nearly black before they finally decided to clean it. Second, lack of communication. About a month ago, the fire alarm set off around 2 o'clock in the morning. The whole building was evacuated. Then, that was it! No f*** word about what happened. Silent from the management team until I went to ask them. Didn't we deserve a word if not an apology? Things like this are numerous, broken water heater, laundry price increase, you name it. They never tell you anything in advance unless you ask. Third, style. Nancy smells like a cigarette, and Lo should have worn beachwear instead of suits to match his talking style. No training whatsoever I guess. Finally, bugs!!! Before, there was no bugs at all. Well, maybe one or two giant tree roaches occasionally. NOW? I see roaches everyday! I mean it, literally, EVERYDAY! I'm not talking about tree roaches. I'm talking about small roaches that nest in buildings. The only positives left are the quietness and... Thomas, the maintenance guy, is still here. He gets his jobs done nicely and timely. Cannot imagine if he is gone. What the heck! I will move out anyway after my current contract ends. Good luck!”
— 4510 Briar Hollow Pl · Houston“Been here for 6 months. Management switched to Greystar around March. Most people have not given new management a chance and I believe these people are just upset because they were friends with Cindy and Jose (understandable). I have had no issues with new management thus far. New management has made some needed changes such as putting free weights and water in the fitness center, updating patio furniture, and more computers in the business center. Covered parking and very safe area. There is always parking available on the street as well. On the weekends it can get a little noisy around the pool area but not enough to keep me from sleeping (apartment faces the pool). Maintenance is fantastic, fixes everything promptly. The apartment could use a renovation, better washer & dryers, and more lighting. Have found 1-2 cockroaches in the apartment but after speaking with several Houstonians, cockroaches are just everywhere in this city. Called management and they sprayed our apartment again (haven't found any since). I don't drink the water here, Houston water is pretty bad. Water bill for my apartment is $20/month and electric bill is $50-65/month.”
— 4510 Briar Hollow Pl · Houston“I was able to move in right away and have excellent service. Everything seems great here and I enjoy living here. It is a lot better than most apartment places you will come across in other states. There are a few bugs but that is life. The location is gerat and safe!”
— 4510 Briar Hollow Pl · Houston“I've lived here for quite some time and before Cindy and Jose had left the company and new ownership had taken over, I was very pleased and satisfied. They returned calls, were prompt with maintenance and pest issues. Now, the staff seems inadequate, incompetent and always confused how rent works or what I ask. When I asked for my water/gas bill, I was told that I will be getting it done separately just like I've always had it. Uh..no..it used to be altogether with my rent statement. I called a few times about some pest or other issues I was needing addressed and no one answered my phone in the mid-afternoon. I left a voice mail message and no response was replied. I had to call again the next day to address what I needed and the girl there was incompetent for understanding that I needed the pest item taken care of. I am after all paying that fee each month. Other than that, my neighbors are somewhat loud and I'm not very happy as I was before. Many people are moving out and I understand why. It's all about money and not taking care of the existing tenants. Sad. Tomas and Maria are the best people still there!”
— 4510 Briar Hollow Pl · Houston“Last night's meet and greet was a really nice touch. It was great to come out and meet new neighbors, the owners and see the beautiful changes going on with the complex. I've been here for almost 6 months now and it took me the longest time to decide on a place to live. I've been pleased with my choice and love the location. I'm looking forward to spending time at the pool area this summer to enjoy the new space. Thank you Tree Tops for sharing the new updates/changes of our hidden oasis.”
— 4510 Briar Hollow Pl · Houston“I would like to give my honest opinion on these apartments. I have lived here a few years now and i love it. I also liked Cindy and jose they were here for a good while. At the same time I think the office staff now are great as well.Sounds like most people here arent giving them a chance which is why I decided to even write a review. Im not too sure what the -------- girls name is but she makes awesome cookies and there is another guy too I havent talk to much yet.. Only thing I dislike is no washer and dryer connections in the apartment. In the long run its a very quite place, i got my own reserved parking spot, and its very secluded. You wont find most of these qualities in an apartment. My lease is coming up and I plan to renew. FYI Cant beat the location..”
— 4510 Briar Hollow Pl · Houston“I agree with the 2 reviews below. I've lived here for a almost 2 years now and Jose and Cindy kept on top of things. With those two making sure that everything was kept in check, this new management can't keep on top of anything. There's a large pile of trash outside the building I have no idea what they plan on doing with this. Doors keep being left open to the building allowing the bugs to get in. The rent was due this month and no invoice was presented, when I asked they said they have not gotten everything together yet just make a check out based on the last few months. I don't know when they planned on telling me this but they almost missed out on my rent! I'm very displeased these new people, they couldn't organize a nun shoot in a nunnery!”
— 4510 Briar Hollow Pl · Houston“I have lived at tree tops for three years and i completely agree with the previous comments. Cindy and Jose really treated everybody here like family which is a lot more than I can say about the current staff. The new management is treating everyone here like a number and the level of service has gone done dramatically. I can say without hesitation that I will not renew my lease with the new greystar management company.”
— 4510 Briar Hollow Pl · Houston“Unfortunately Tree tops has changed since the hoards of wonderful reviews. The past month (March-2013) the management and ownership has changed and subsequently Jose and Cindy have left. It seems as though so has the service. Tree tops was proud to have 97-98% recommendation for years. But this has not followed over with the new owners and management, so far my impressions (in comparison) have left me feeling they are not courteous, with a rather more rude and cutthroat approach to business. We are being treated more like numbers than people. Already I can tell there is a large drop in organisation and professionalism this is clearly being displayed in documentation, advertisement and inside the current office. Since the old staff have left I feel the value for money has severely dropped. Also after having done research into the new manager and owners they have 65% average recommendations. I feel I must write this review in order to warn people of the true reflection of the current level of service provided at this location. I would not recommend this property any longer”
— 4510 Briar Hollow Pl · Houston“I recently moved into an apartment at Tree Tops after living in a townhome community for many years. I feel lucky to have found this place. The staff are top notch. Always friendly and accommodating. They truly seem to love their jobs and enjoy making the residents happy. Every request I have presented has been met with professionalism and courtesy. The property feels more like a home than an apartment. I looked at many apartments before finding this one. I didn't find a single one where the staff and residents made me feel as welcome as I do here. I haven't met many of my neighbors yet, but the ones I have met are very nice. I am looking forward to one of the upcoming socials.”
— 4510 Briar Hollow Pl · Houston“Hats off to the staff at Tree Tops for making my experience there refreshingly pleasant. Great customer service is rare these days and Jose/Cindy really go the extra mile to make things easier. I had a unique situation in which I had to end my lease early-while most apartment complexes would have probably been hostile, Jose & Cindy were kind as always and made the best of a difficult situation. One thing I really appreciated was their commitment to your happiness. I'd receive emails every so often asking if everything was okay in my apartment and to please drop a note if there was anything that needed to be fixed. I always had my maintenance issues fixed the following day. One last thing-there was one day that my neighbors music was turned up a little too loudly. I called Jose and he immediately took action to resolve the situation. I was so appreciative for his prompt resolution. Thanks again Tree Tops at Post Oak for a great living experience-highly recommended to everyone!”
— 4510 Briar Hollow Pl · Houston“We just moved in, and we love it here so far. The location is very convenient, and I am impressed with management. I am not making this review up. lol.”
— 4510 Briar Hollow Pl · Houston“I've been a resident here for about 3 weeks and that was just enough to learn that EVERYBODY here from the staff (cleaning, maintanence, office) goes beyond the expected to make you happy. Cindy and Jose from the office are GREAT, not once, (before or after moving) I was received in any other way than with a smile, all the little and big requests I had were promptly addressed. Oh, and they love dogs, actually, the've been spoiling mine so much that every time I pass with her near the office she tries to drag me into there.. she knows she'll get treats and some extra love :-)) Besides that, my apartment is very quiet, the parking is assigned, the building is kept clean and is in a great location, everything is nearby! I just wish I had a washer and drier in my unit.. anyway, so far, I'm pretty happy here and it is ok to go to the laundry facility inside the building.”
— 4510 Briar Hollow Pl · Houston“So you look at this 95% and you think "FAKE". Im here to tell you, I was in your shoes 6 months ago, and it is not. It is a true as it could be. AMAZING, times a million. Look, its a small community, and as a result its really cherry picked. All my neighbors were warm and welcoming. The apt is spacious and has a giant WALK- THROUGH closet(!) I moved out cause I couldn't afford the rent which is not higher than the custom to that area of town. It is a great (!) location. Quite at night, not even a dog in the street in 1 am, even on the weekend. No parties, no bumping stereos driving by, no unwanted strangers just walking by. Nothing. Quite and calm in a green soaked area. About the location, it sits just by the 610 loop on one of the most needed highways just crossing by, anything you need N,E,S,W all are within 5 min drive tops- 59, 45, 290, and 10, all of Houston main highways. Despite the closeness to 610, its merely a hum if you have a day at home during the week. Now for the best part, the management... WOW. Family to the true sense. They really cared for me and did the extra mile, no request was too much to consider, and some unique ones were answered. When I fell hard and lost my career job they worked with me as much as they could within the corporate guidelines. You will get a gift bag upon move in and constant encouragement. They outdid themselves with a PERSONAL favor, out of their good will which I won't disclose, but let's just say, I was out of work and couldn't really afford much of anything. The pool was enough and never felt crowded in the summer, the workout room is just enough and maybe once or twice had to wait, or someone had to come back later. Target, bars and restaurants are within walking distance and even the Galleria mall is not too far to walk to (25 min) If you are begging to hear some negative, I can say that parking is tight (1 per unit) but there is ample SAFE street parking. The other is, it is NOT the shiny just built apartment, but it is lightly upgraded- meaning nice appliances and new nobs and paint on the cabinets, decent laminate counter-top. It is much better than where im at now, just 2 miles outside the loop. Overall its a win! Give Cindy and Jose a hug, and enjoy the warm honest smile of the dedicated hard (non-stop) working Thomas and Maria. Simply a super-team. Thank you guys for the time, you were the only bright spot in this past 6 months of relocating down to Houston.”
