“I used to live here it took them months to have my apartment ready ... when i moved in it was okay but later on the apartment started having problems with flooding from my restroom .... there was a sewer outside of my apartment and about every 3 months or every time it would rain it would open and therr was ---- (human ----) outside my apartment.... then it would take them for ever to clean it up and fix it .... i didnt exepct much paying 500 a month but then there was also some phycho on the loose that lived there and tried to rape me i tried reporting it to the cops but aparently i didn't have enough evedince ... later on this same man tried raping another lady in the same apartments.... i should have sewed them by the time i finally got enough money to buy a house they had alredy towed not one but 2 of my cars.... they tow your car for anything and everything.... then when i left they aparently decided to mess up my credit”

“I dont feel safe here the whole place is a death tramp money pit the staff attitudes stick and the people that live there are drug induced drones who keep up drama the maintenance has way too much time on their hands they keep up mess this is a slum period.”

“Do not go here to rent. They charge $50 an adult for application fee and also make you put down a $250 deposit. And, if you are not approved they keep your deposit. We were denied and than told we couldn't get our deposit back.They do nothing but screw people over. Now, I have no money to look for another place..”

“Staff is rude and always changing. As soon as you ask a question they begin to raise their voices with attitude. You never know when maintenance is coming and forget quiet. People outside drinking and partying every night and cops don't help. Office does not notify you of fees they have added and show up with eviction notices. Horrible place to live! Disgusting grounds and apts have busted out windows with cardboard. I wouldn't wish this place on my WORST ENEMY. Office manager had my car towed because she felt like it.”

“The worst place to rent. Literally find another place to take you and your family. This place should be closed down due to health hazards. There is alot of mold and our apartment cieling had a big crack that they never fixed. They never answer maintanence calls at all. When i went to the office i always heard someone complaing about door, or some replacment to a broken fride or stove. There is no water for hoursssss.There is always loud music playing that it is hard to sleep. The gate is always broken and open to which they blame the residents.Also they dont pick up or ignore your calls when you call their office. There is alot of mugging going on. I was robbed myself at gunpoint and they didnt give the slightest worry. They only want your money and for you to shut up complaining. I know its very cheap to live there,but you cant even get the basic services. There was no functional ac or heater. I had to buy a fan and heater. Im so glad i moved out. That building should be inspected structurally as well as health codes becuase it is not up to standards for living in. It should be closed down in my opinion.”

I cant wait to get out of this hole full of roaches trust me there are 5,000 roaches in my kitchen, room, restroom, after im done cooking I cant go bk to kitchen because it disgusts me I have a 2 year old and cant have him in this nasty place nomore , but lets not talk about rent because the very next day they blowing your apt with little notes maybe if yall's apartments was cleaner and not infested with bugs yall would get yall dam money in time......were is the negative stars on this dam thing!!!....pissed off”

“THESE APARTMENTS ARE HORRIBLE. I FINNALLY MOVED IN 9/10/2013 AFTER BEING TOLD 3 DIFFERENT MOVE IN DATES. I GET IN THE CARPET IS DISGUSTING. ON TOP OF THE THE SAME DAY THE WOMEN UP STAIRS WAS WASHING AND BLEACH AND HOT WATER WAS GUSHING OUT THE WALL BY THE CLOSET IN THE LIVING ROOM. NOW THE CARPET IS ORANGE. U WOULD THINK THEY WOULD PUT NEW CARPET BUT THIS CHEAP --- MANAGEMENT SENT SOMEONE 2 SHAMPOO THE CARPET SEVERAL TIMES STILL BLEACHED SMH. ON TOP OF THAT THEY SEND THIS JACKASS SO CALLED "MAINTAINENCE" MAN WHO HAD MUDDY BOOTS ON AND RUBBED HIS BOOTS ON THE ALREADY DISGUSTING CARPET. WHEN I SAY THIS I CONFRONTED HIM HE THEN GOT SMART AND I CURSED HIM OUT AND PUT HIM OUT MY APT. AND TOLD THEM TO NEVER SEND HIM 2 MY APT. HIS DUMB --- CLAIM THE LEAK WAS FROM THE SINK BUT IT WAS FROM A BUSTED PIPE IN THE WALL SMH. I HAD MY APT BURGLARIZED AND AFTER THAT I HAD MY BOYFRIEND WHO DIDN'T LIVE WITH ME 2 START STAYING OVER MORE. I WAS TOLD ANYONE WHO IS AT UR APT MORE THAN 3DAYS MUST BE PUT ON THE LEASE. STUPIDEST ---- I EVER HEARD. SO IF FAMILY COMES FROM OUT OF TOWN AND STAYS A WEEK I MUST PUT THEM ON MY LEASE LMFAO LOL. THE REFRIGREFRIGERATOR WAS OLD AND HAD A HORRIBLE ODOR LIGHT SWITCHES DIDN'T WRK FAN IN LIVING ROOM WAS INPROPERLY INSTALLED. I HAD ROACHES,DO DO BUGS, UNIDENTIFIED BUGS AND CAME HM FROM WRK 1 DAY AND THERE WAS A DEAD LIZARD IN MY SINK. WHEN U TURN ON THE JACUZZIE IT SMELLS LIKE SEWAGE . THE LEASING AGENTS ARE LAZY THEY DNT ANSWER PH.I KNOW THIS CAUSE I SAT OUTSIDE THE OFFICE AND CALLED WHILE THEY SAT RIGHT THERE DOING NOTHING. TERESA IS FAKE AS HELL. ALL THEY DO IS LIE. LAST ITS FUNNY HOW THEY SENT ME A NON RENEWAL BECAUSE I DNT TAKE BS WHEN I'M PAYING MY $$$$ SO I GOT ON THERE --- AND I COMPLAINED ALL THE TIME PEOPLE DNT LIKE WHEN U STAND UP FOR WHAT'S RIGHT. AS IF I WOULD RENEW AFTER I HAD A BREAK IN AND NOT 2 MECHION 2 OTHER BURGLARIES ON THE PROPERTY. OH YEAH ALMOST 4 GOT PARKING IS BS HOW U GET A PARKING STICKER BUT U NEVER HAVE ANYWHERE 2 PARK. “I work for the state and was in between school and my first social work agency. It was just my newborn and I, we were struggling and this is the cheapest place with some kind of security that I could find. I paid my rent in full for the entire year from my income tax and money I had saved up. I was transferred after 6 months to Arizona from my agency. The leasing manager and I did an agreement over paper and I was told I would get the rest of my money back minus my reletting fee and prorated rent. A month later I kept getting told that I would get my money back and week after week supposedly it was in the mail. Finally after a month I get told the owners decided not to give my money back. I was a good tenant and that apt was in better condition than when I moved in. They took food out of my sons mouth. Shame on you Timbers of inwood forest. Kharma- everything comes full circle and what you did was pure predatory. I don't recommend these apts FYI because there are bugs inside....a lot of roaches even when my apt was clean. They exterminated but they always came back. Then maintenance was never available for emergency on the weekends and even when the staff lived on the property they wouldn't even pick the phone up when my apt was about to flood because the last maintenance man rigged up the faucets for the hot and cold wash and dryer hook ups. The tenants are nice on my end but don't let no one in your apt because that is how you get robbed. I've seen other tenants get robbed my friends. Don't pet any pit bull s there. There was one pit that locked jaws with someone's small dog and that dog is still there. The kids vandelize, teens are loud. The older adults had sense to them and were laid back, but the young adults had issues. Also you could get your vehicle towed just for parking backwards or out of the white line. These apts are predatory and they discriminate....stay away please. The staff are mean and a few times some of them were very unprofessional...bringing friends and boyfriend s to the work place. Putting the phones on voicemail early before closing. Oh and the swearing and when I would talk to one of the staff, I would get interrupted by the other as if what I was saying wasn't important.”

“I have lived here for almost 5 months and im tired of it. Its affordable but thats it. Its nasty full of roaches. It took them two months to come fix my ac and disposal. My dishwasher has been broke since i moved in and nobody has come to fix it even though ive gone to the office to complain. I now have a dishwasher full of maggots! Disgusting. The manager is rude and not concerned with peoples concerns. These apartments are horrible! She tried to tell me theres no pets i havent seen any signs posted reguarding that and i see atleast ten pitbulls running loose without a leash daily. There are tons of stray cats . Im fed up with this --------.”

“Terrible! Terrible! Terrible! Every time I walked into the office, there was someone different who didn't know what I was talking about so I had to keep starting the process over. Pit bulls with no leash are constantly running around day and night. Fights all the time (men and women). Gangs of guys show there guns in broad daylight. My neighbors and i all got our windows busted one day. You cant walk through the apartment without someone offering you drugs. Awful place to live. The only good thing about the apartments is that if you are desperate for a place to stay, 9 out of 10 times they will accept you of you just apply”

“i currently LIVE in the apartment my lease is up soon and im ready to get out these horrible apartment the office is on 9797 meadowglen dr but the apartments is way on 10161 westpark drive. the management is horrible. they never come fix nothing on time. you paying $650 for market rate for rent and water i hardly use always between $60 to $70 dollars for no damn reason. the new mamaager is trash and Nacy the assistant manager always lie but when it come down for rent the want to blow your apartment up with notes. it a small complex and it never enuf parking and not to mention they have up these cameras that dont even work my car been broken into 2 times and mailbox 3 times. i wouldnt recommend these trashy --- apartment no one for this amount of rent i could have stayed in a 2 bedroom somewhere and somewhere better i will not renew my lease i give these apartment a zero rating and u have to look out for the BIG --- ROACHES”

“Lol these apartments are a joke. I came to visit a friend who recently moved in to these apartments. First off the office is in a whole different set of apartments. Second her watet bill was close to 70 bucks for a one bedroom. Her carpet looked disgusting. Stains everywhere the carpet was many different colors . The parking is ridiculous. The employees in the office are worthless. Even tbe head manager is trash. This place needs new management. Oh not to mention all the dead cockroaches that show up in the norning that come through the fire place... dont waste your time or money here”

“This has been the worst experience of apartments I have lived in. How can I have a utility bill for 50 buck for a 1 bedroom apartment that I am rarely at. My family members who have 2 and 3 bedroom apartments have cheaper utility bills than I do. This place is a joke. They offer a referral of $200 for whoever you reffer but it the person you refer dont pay rent on time for at least 6 months than you owe the apartments $200. Lol this is crazy. Not to mention the ridicouls management they are all worthless. Of course they are going to smile in your face while u sign the lease but after you sign that last page aint ---- they will do.. all in all stay away from these apartments”

“Do not waste your time in these -------- --- apartments... They show you a great model apartment but when it's time for you to move in your apartment there is old --- carpet from previous renters spots all over the floor but wait to get new carpet you have to come out 25 dollars more each month. The 25 bucks I nothing but this information should have been disclosed before I got the keys... The only nice one that works in the office that has some sense is Dely. A know it all manager and old hag Lucy... These apartments are a joke please don waste your time...”

“Living at Park West was the worst rental experience of my life. SECURITY: There isn't a security guard, working cameras, or locked gates. In the year I have been at the property, someone was shot to death, my car has been vandalized twice and I have witnessed drug activity. NOISE: I have lived in apartments filled with partying college students and have not dealt with the noise I have experience living at Park West. The first 3 months of living there I had difficulty sleeping after being constantly awaken by screaming children on my porch and loud music. I got fed up spoke to Cicilia the apartment manager who insisted there was nothing she could do. Multiple times I have had to go to various neighbors and ask them to stop blasting their music. Additionally there are many people with loud barking dogs that are kept outside which contributed to the noisy environment. APPEARANCE: The initial appearance is misleading. They take care of those parts that are visible from the street, however once the grounds are walked, it is obvious there is little upkeep. Maintenance does try their best at keeping up the appearance, but with so many children running around all the time and people throwing their garbage on the ground, the place typically looks filthy. THE APARTMENT: The show apartment was nothing like the one I moved in. Base boards were missing, the bathroom sink and tub were not porcelain but made of some material that was painted multiple times and peels when wet. The entire apartment appeared as though they just painted everything to give it a fresh look without having to make proper repairs. The floor foundation was slanted, the wall were badly cracked. A member of maintenance told me my bathroom wall was moving back. I didn't realize this until the bar holding my shower curtains fell down due to the spatial increase. I would not recommend these apartments to anyone. The people living there are very inconsiderate; the management staff doesn t have enough backbone to correct these people, and the apartment itself is garbage. For anyone looking to move in the area, I suggest looking elsewhere. For the price Park West charges for rent they do not compare to there are many surrounding apartments. I personally have met multiple tenants who have become fed up and will not be renewing their leases.”

“I have been staying here for almost 3years and i advise u if u are thinking about moving here Check the website first and u see what i am talking about they dont want to fix nothing i know at 15 Or more people here who has mole in there apartment including me my apartment flooded they were Suppose to to move me but noone didnt. For 6months are more i was in this apartment i was move on 09 21 2012 and my freezer went out manager marybelle did not want to replace my food they had To bring me another refringe i had only been in the apartment to days when this happen on a Saturday. She did not replace my food but threaten me we eviction i like to see her try.”

“Don't move in this apt. I been here for 7 months with my four year old son and they have bad roaches. The office people will have u n jail for they smart --- mouth. They don't care about the apts or the ppl that lives here they only here to collect rent money and that statement came from the property asst management with the one arm. My apt got broken into two n one week.drugs all around the apt. Fights every weekend. Ppl shooting in the apts. never hot water. It's just a lot of bs with this apt. If u want to stay n the free world don't move here...I'm leaving Friday me and my son is not safe here”

THE MANAGER LYDIA NEEDS TO TAKE SOME CLASSES ON HOW TO TAKE CARE OF HER TENANTS. THE OWNER OF THE PROPERTY IS PROBABLY NOT AWARE OF WHAT HAPPENS ON THAT PROPERTY. THIS PEOPLE DON'T DO GOOD WORK AT ALL. THIS GOES FOR MAINTANANCE ALSO. MOST OF THEM OR EVEN ILLEGAL.THEIR RENT IS SO HIGH AND THEY ARE NOT EVEN PRETTY.”

“This apartment complex is not worth the money your going spend to live here. This staff sucks they are very rude and heartless. I really don't see the purpose of having staff cause nothing gets taken care of. I just moved in 4days ago and still cant stay in the apartment I paid for cause there is no appliances and the AC don't work. They give you the run arounds and don't take care of nothing. I just wished I knew these things b4 I moved in. So if your looking into these please look some where else cause the headache and BS you are going to go through is not worth it.”

“These are the worst apartments I have lived in had a problem with the neighborhoods downstairs smoking. The smoke coming into my apartment. Talked to the apartment and they said they would call them and did not such thing. I also seeked help from the corporate office and they were the worst saying they would help and they did nothing. They expect me to live in an apartment with smoke. They don't care that my 4 year old has to smell this the health hazard they put us though. I constantly have headache and get dizzy. But why would they care its not them going through this. It seems nobody can fix this. I will never rent from them.”

“Note: I payed my rent in advance 1 month a head. The last month i stayed there i told them i was going 2 be late,the had no understanding in told me i had 2 move. when i ask them if i could pay the fee 2 get out my lease they jacked the price up more then the rent.(3 times more)They hardly wonted 2 fix anything,when i gave them my mailbox key they told me that i could come back to the office and use it.That was a fib i am having problems getting my mail now,and its income tax time in i cant get my w2 form out.They really do not care for there residents only MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!It Might seem affordable,but you pay 4 what you get which is nothing.”

“First.... New managment unprofessional,I don't not why the owner hire this people. No attend the tenants. The maintenance is very poooooor, the people dont know how fix the problems. Second.... Miserable living. Apartments with problems with mold, flooding, toilet stock and drine stock and go out by toilets and bathubs. Two or three times a month or after rain. Third.... Dont; wast your money.The rent is chep but is not convenient to much for people with childrens. THe parking is not adequate”

“I went to the property on 07/10/2010 to take a look at possibly renting an apartment at this location. I walked in to the office and was waiting to be helped and ended up waiting 30 min. When I finally got someone to show me an apartment as we walked up to the door the oder of urine was so prevalent that is about knocked you out. After we looked at the apartment we left and on the side walk right outside there was standing water and toilet paper. So I looked around to see if I could see where it was coming from and when I found out where it was coming from I was shocked to see human waste everywhere. The person showing me the apartment didn't even give it a second look just kept on walking as if that's not the first time it's happened. He even yelled to another employee that the sewer is backup again and that employee just kept on walking. So needless to say I would not want to or will recommend this place to anyone infact I will be calling the health dept and telling them about the sewer problem that I saw I'm sure it's not fixed yet.”

“The inside and outside of these apartments are very run down, appliances are old, they shampoo the carpet over and over, after two years NEW CARPET SHOULD BE MANDITORY. The --------- and has taken over West Gulf Bank the Stovall Elementary School bus is full of -------- kids. Management has a way to single out the ------ from moving in by requiring no broken leases and simple misdemenors.”

“ME and my BF lived at Parkwest place for 10 months in that time we enjoyed our stay very much so the leasing office was very nice no complaints maintenance was good! Neighbors were good. The gates were broken that is until my neighbor was murdered then they put locks on the gate and they only worked for 2 months.I really wasn't bothered by the gates but the man that was killed lived behind me and we stayed in apt 42. CRIME literally none at all with the exception of the murder. I miss the mirrors in the bedroom, the tub and the shower hell I miss the whole restroom!!!!!!! Overall Very nice paying $603.00 not including trash & water to damn much for that small --- apt but very good area and NO KIDS if there was they were infants the whole complex is 1 bed 1 bath! There pools were never clean at all they cleaned it all of 2 times that we stayed there but other than that we liked it a lot. When we stayed there they said no Big dogs but there were like 2 pit bulls that stayed in the apt and they were always on the balcony.”

“The apartments are currently under a makeover. The inside is like nothing I have seen before pure elegance and beauty. HUGE BATHTUB WITH JETS!! I highly reccomend this place to anyone. The rates are fare and the inside is just like a brand new apt!!!!!!!!”

“I thought I did the right thing by having an address/crime check done through HPD for an extensive period of time prior to signing a lease. Once I got here I found out that we have more than a few felons on site. One night I saw 2 hookers leaving out of one of the apartments heading to Westpark. Some of these folks would play dominoes for 4-5 hours straight outside by the pool during the week...I was probably one of 5 gainfully employed residents. People yell outside to one another, play loud music inside & outside of their apartments with blatant disregard for anyone that actually has a job to go to the following morning. I cannot recall one time that I had pest control guys come into my apartment. I've dealt with everything from spiders, roaches, ants, and other bugs I had never seen before! It is such a shame, because these are possibly the most gorgeous and unique apartments I've ever seen (see through fireplace, washer/dryer comes standard in every unit, jacuzzi bathtub with a separate shower.) Keep looking, do not stop here! Better yet, just buy/rent a house. This is my fifth apartment. I truly believe that there is no such thing as a peaceful apartment community!”
