“Living at Montelago Apartments has been a deeply disappointing experience, and I feel it's important to caution anyone considering moving here. My primary concern is the lack of responsiveness from management when addressing safety issues and enforcing community guidelines. After living here for over a year and a half, it's become clear that tenant concerns are repeatedly dismissed by both the local management team and Toby at the corporate office. When I raised legitimate safety concerns with Janae, the office manager, my concerns went largely ignored. I even installed security cameras for my own peace of mind -- something that should never be necessary in a well-managed community. Despite providing management with documentation, including police reports and written evidence of threats, I received no meaningful action or acknowledgment. The referral program also feels misleading. I followed all required steps to refer a new tenant but never received the promised reward. Attempts to resolve the issue with management and corporate were met with indifference and unhelpful responses. Additionally, there has been a noticeable decline in the professionalism and courtesy of the Manager, that makes increasingly difficult to feel comfortable or valued as a resident. It's disheartening to see a community that was once welcoming change so drastically. I truly hope management reconsiders its approach to tenant relations and safety. Residents deserve to feel heard, respected, and secure in their homes.”

You can hear the home depot forklift all night and early morning so you wont sleep. Trash truck comes to dump out the containers before 6am making loud noises and waking you up. Not worth it regret renewing my lease.”

The rooms are well spaced, and the balcony is good size. I moved in with new clean carpets and a fresh coat of paint on the wall and kitchen. Came with washer and dryers. Plenty of parking that's covered.”

Even though I am on the third floor I can hear the noise of running kids below me all night and day. I see that neighbors dont pick up after their dogs. So walking in the grass is not a good idea.”

— 11881 Gulf Pointe Dr · Houston“Overall, it's a pretty okay place to live. The apartments are fine. They aren't luxury, and as long as you manage your expectations it will be fine. They don't really fix anything though. You will see damage in the walls they just paint over. You will see where they at some point replaced a light switch and it doesn't fit. There's a gap, or the cover is smaller and you see where it used to be. The countertops are cheap 80s formica that they painted, but the paint is now peeling and cracking. In our unit, the countertop has a bulging spot in the middle that they said couldn't be fixed. I've cut my finger on it not paying attention. The carpet is cheap, and installed in about 5 minutes. It's loose and moves if you move your furniture. There was a spot where there was a gap where the two pieces met and the fix for that was to cover it with glue. This left a hard spot that stabs you if you walk on it. They neighbors are loud, and they continually throw the swisher sweet packages on our patio when they are smoking the goods in the stairwell. The parking is awful, and if you don't have an assigned spot you will have a problem. The office staff is friendly enough, just not very prompt. I assume they are busy. There seems to be a frequent turn-over in the non management staff. In conclusion, it's fine. It's not luxury, and you shouldn't expect it to be. Nothing about the experience is amazing, and without the maintenance problems it would be a better place to live.”
