“My experience with sallie and her team has been great! Everyone is friendly and helpful. I have good neighbors and the location is perfect ( I don’t have a car) The apartment has a full size w/d which is a deal breaker for me.”

ALL of a sudden she LACARA calls me and tells me she can't get a approval unless I have actual back account.. I told her wasn't happening because I use my cash app for everything.. So I definitely wasn't giving no free money out.. THEY only want your money and to deny you in anyway they can I told them I wasn't giving them anything unless I signed my lease but I lost interest once they tried it.... SALLIE IS A HORRIBLE PERSON WHO HAS NO REGARDS FOR OTHER'S LACARA IS A LAP DOG SHE DOES WHAT SALLIE TELLS HER AGAIN I DON'T RECOMMEND WHATSOEVER GO UP THE STREET AND FIND SOMETHING BETTER THEN THIS TRASHY PLACE!!!”
“My experience has been great. I like the location and the price. The office and maintenance are top notch. My neighbors are quiet and my cat loves sitting in the sunroom. I like having the w/d in the apartment.”
— 2686 MURWORTH DR · HOUSTON“DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! The management office is horrible. The manager, ------ ------ is the most unscrupulous, unethical person I have ever met. Her lies and greed are directly responsible for a situation where an abuser and a victim living in the same complex. I moved in with my (now ex) girlfriend last October (first time living together). My ex became very abusive (she attacked me with scissors, burned me with a lit cigar, and held a knife to my throat). She is currently facing 2nd degree felony charges for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. I did not have the money to break the lease, so ------ suggested that instead of breaking the lease ($5000+ to do so), I move to another apartment ($500). My ex does not meet the financial requirement to keep the apartment we were in. I made it very easy for my ex, all she needed to do was move in with her parents, which she had been threatening to do anyway. ------ convinced her to stay in the old apartment, and just take my name off the lease. She rented me a new apartment in the same complex, in a location where the only way out of the complex is to drive right by the front door of my abuser. ------ knew I was an abuse victim. I showed her bruises on my arm when I went to speak with her. I showed her the police report where I pressed charges, as well as all the pictures I took as evidence. When my ex opted to stay in the complex and just take my name off the lease ------ kept it a secret. I directly asked, and she said she couldn’t give out that information. I never would have stayed in these apartments if I had known. ------ tricked me into staying in the same complex. Also, when my ex decided to stay, and have me take my name off the lease, I became a new tenant rather than transferring to a new apartment. ------ refused to give me the new tenant discount offer. Also she must get commission. When I went to speak with her about my options, she showed me the cheapest apartment then pressured me to sign. The other lady in the office was about to rent it out, and ------ lied to her and said it was just rented online. I have other neighbors who have also told me horror stories about ------. I gave her a list of all the issues with both my old and new apartment. There has been no response. Fact – 25% of all abuse victims are men.”
— 2686 MURWORTH DR · HOUSTON“I chose Wilshire Park because it is close to my job in the medical center and it is off the main street. My apartment closet is huge and there is an washer and dryer in my apartment. Sally and Elanor are great. They are always friendly and helpful. Maintenance was always addressed quickly and the technicians are very nice. I enjoyed my stay there.”
— 2686 MURWORTH DR · HOUSTON“I just moved into these apartments less than a month ago. The location and the quietness of the complex is great! However, the apartments are old and when I moved in, I noticed that my shower tiles were not cleaned. The maintenance supervisor just came and cleaned it and it didn't come out clean. When I asked him if I can get my shower tiles replaced, he told me that he doesn't think that the manager would be willing to spend the money to replace my tiles. Or, they could have regrout the tiles at least but again, no effort and probably don't care. As you notice on the picture that re-caulking was done but neglected the rest. I just wish that the effort should be made and I don't think it's fair. I'm really disappointed and I may not renew my lease.”
— 2686 MURWORTH DR · HOUSTON“Property is nice and well groomed. Staff was/is exceptional! I advise anyone to move here, fantastic location the complex provides a very comfortable atmosphere. Please ask for TAMIKA, she's awesome!”
— 2686 MURWORTH DR · HOUSTON“We were forced to move out of our rental home after it flooded during Hurricane Harvey as the home we were building wasn't ready yet, but we couldn't be happier with Wilshire Park. While the complex is older, it is well maintained and clean.”
— 2686 MURWORTH DR · HOUSTON“Caring maintenance and front office, both are attentive to needs. Only thing missing is covered parking from the brutal weather. Neighbors are nice and considerate as well.”
— 2686 MURWORTH DR · HOUSTON“This place is pretty great for us. Clean, gated, with well-kept lawn and maintenance, not to mention the state our unit was in when we moved in. It looked exactly like the model! All the staff being courteous and prompt are a big plus too.”
— 2686 MURWORTH DR · HOUSTON“I have lived here since 2009. I do not intend on moving any time soon. This complex is my home. It feels like home. My neighbors are amazing. I have never had any problems except one tenant several years back. Thankfully the management got rid of him. Other than that no problems. They screen the tenants and that makes it nice. It is a very diverse community which I love! The management team is truly amazing. The maintenance men are equally amazing. The only thing I would consider a "problem" is NRG traffic. But really out of 365 days a year there isn't really that many days of traffic. You learn to plan around the events. Not really a big deal. There have been several cars over the years with their rims stolen and the car left on blocks. But this is Houston and crime can happen anywhere. The rent is higher and it has gone up over the years. However ... You do get what you pay for. I feel safe and secure here. My apartment is nice and well taken care of. I have never had a bug problem. I love the pool and the area around it. I also love how close to shopping and the medical center we are! Makes my commute to work only 15 minutes one way! I highly recommend it to single people or families.”
— 2686 MURWORTH DR · HOUSTON“Overall the management isn't bad and the apartments aren't the best. If you're ever have situation where you need them to work with you, Chuck, the apartment manager, will not. As for safety, there were several cars that had their rims and tires stolen.”
— 2686 MURWORTH DR · HOUSTON“We are leaving the complex, but only due to a couple things: Location. This is a sad part of Houston. You walk outside to a street and cars and it's dirty and next to not the greatest neighborhood. But most importantly, living next to Reliant Stadium is a huge mistake if you want to be able to get anywhere on game days, concert days, etc. Traffic is HORRIBLE. We had cops asking us for ID as we tried to turn onto our street.. WE LIVE THERE! LET US GO IN! This corner of Houston is also just not near anything that we did. Rice is close, but we don't go there often and Reliant is right there, but we never do that stuff! It just didn't make sense for us. View/Sunlight. Our apartment had a view of another apartment's wall. and didn't get a lot of sun during most of the day. This was a bummer for me and became disheartening after being there for about 10 months. Things broke often, our AC went out a number of times, ice maker, the oven, drawers broke in the kitchen, the dryer didn't work well for most of our time there. The AC doesn't really cool the bedroom, only the main room. The bathroom got SUPER hot when we took baths. But the maintenance people were SO nice and always came to help! There were some roaches. We were ground floor. We had about 2 a month I'd say, although my bf says there were more that he didn't tell me about. Not so bad though. Parking was not great. We ended up reserving a spot a few months in, so one of us always had a spot, but if you got there later, after 10 or so, there was no parking and you'd have to park in the outer visitor lot or on the street. Pretty ridiculous. I didn't think it was really noisy. Sometimes I could hear the bar behind us, but really only when I went outside. And it was right on the other side of our apartment essentially. I had no noise issues. Very quiet! The office staff was always friendly. Chuck is the manager and he's pretty great. Everyone is really nice. That was a huge benefit to the place. Rent did go up for next year and we figured we'd get a better deal and be happier somewhere closer to parks and our jobs.”
— 2686 MURWORTH DR · HOUSTON“My friend referred me to this apartment. I love it!!!! Just com by and look at it. You will love it!! The staffs in management office are very helpful!!!!”
— 2686 MURWORTH DR · HOUSTON“I love this apartment complex. The location is perfect. My neighbors are nice and quiet. And most of all the Management Team in the leasing office are superb. I've been living here since 2013 and have never been treated so nicely by the Leasing office. They are always understanding and willing to work with you through your rough times. The Maintenance Team is outstanding. They service your request most efficiently and majority of the time the same day if possible. I have recommended the complex to alot of people but there are hardly ever any vacancies,,,so that alone speaks for itself!”
— 2686 MURWORTH DR · HOUSTON“Used to be great, but not any more. -They are increasing rent really fast even though houston rental market has now reached a plateau. Actually, you will notice that rent is even more expensive than what they've indicated on their website. I guess they are increasing rent so fast that the website can't catch up. -Wind coming from AC itself is kind of warm and humid, so it is sometimes hot even if AC keeps running. I wasn't able to stay home after 2pm in summer. -I don't feel safe when it's dark outside. There is reported crime in the apartments area every 2,3 months, and this only includes crime that office actually announced. -There is a club near my building. You can imagine how annoying it is when you are trying to sleep and huge beat sound wouldn't stop until 2am. This is not the worst apartments, but I wouldn't recommend this place to my friends.”
— 2686 MURWORTH DR · HOUSTON“I had to come on here tonight because the police just left my apartment. Once again, I was complaining about the noise from the club. One of the police officers said that I was offered another apartment, but I declined. Someone in the office or management company lied and said that it was a lateral move without any admin fee and deposit. Well tonight was the very 1st time I had every heard of this!!!!! I heard transfer fee, deposit, admin fee, Nobody ever offered to allow my move, without paying fees, because we all know how they like to penny and dime a person to death around here with all of these fees. Stop lying!!!! You never offered me an apartment sans your fees. I hate liars. Stop lying to make yourselves look better!!! Dirty operations. This entire stay for me has been one huge freaking nightmare!!!!! Liars never !!!!!! You're getting a star because I have to give one, but your complex is in the negative for me!!! Don't move here, you will be so very sorry!!!”
— 2686 MURWORTH DR · HOUSTON“We've been very disappointed with management. If you want professionalism, courtesy, people who will not be condescending, snide, and rude when you're trying to ask for information, this is not the place for you. We will be gladly leaving soon.”
— 2686 MURWORTH DR · HOUSTON“I went today to fill out an app. the apartments are decent looking. I was very impressed with Chuck and how he handles himself. I would be happy living there and hope to move in shortly.”
— 2686 MURWORTH DR · HOUSTON“Not that Wilshire Park needs anymore wonderful reviews.... But they deserve it. Lewis and Chuck are excellent, caring, intelligent, professional, warm, human beings. They are more than office staff. They are a help and a blessing to everyone in the community. I lived there with my husband and children for 1 year and we moved because of a job change. This type of property is rare. It is a hidden gem in the middle of a crazy city. Texans games are annoying and this location could very likely make you despise the rodeo, but there is nothing that outweighed the abundance of positives here. I have actually made true friends for the first time ever with my neighbors (multiple neighbors). The units are very reasonable for the AMAZING price. I bet they'll upgrade the units soon though. I could say so many things but there's no need. You are so favored if you are able to live here. And let me not forget the maintenance man. I forget his name because he's quiet but he's very kind and professional, always working, always smiling, always a wave and a head nod. WILSHIRE PARK IS THE PLACE TO BE. Cannot say enough. Thank you Lewis and Chuck!”
— 2686 MURWORTH DR · HOUSTON“The apartment complex is nice. The area gets busy during football games, rodeo, and all other events at the NRG stadium. Manager Chuck writes fake reviews on this page. Besides that, pretty good apartment complex, nothing fancy, but it's good for the price.”
— 2686 MURWORTH DR · HOUSTON“I enjoy living at Wilshire Park Apartments, Mr. Lewis is a excellent property manager. He cares for the tenants and go far and beyond to make sure every tenant is comfortable and safe. Mr. Lewis has an open door policy with the tenants which allows him to interact with the tenants on a daily basis. He has created a caring community here at Wilshire Park. The assistant manager, Ms. Price is very professional and also cares for the tenants and assist the tenants with any concerns they may have. The maintenance staff is the best, maintenance concerns are taken care of within 24 hours. I can't imagine living anywhere else, thank you Mr. Lewis and the staff here at Wilshire Park for all your hard work.”
— 2686 MURWORTH DR · HOUSTON“I lived here from 2012 to 2014 and this is the only apartment I have ever stayed in for more than one year. I would not have moved if I hadn't been going out of state. I have stayed at other apartments in Houston up to $500 more for a 1bed/1bath and every one, without exception, was not up to the standard of Wilshire Park. The key difference between all of those apartments and Wilshire Park is really Chuck. He is so friendly and remembers the names/apartments of everyone on the property and really cares about the residents. I really can't say enough good things about Chuck, he's one of the best people I've met. The maintenance staff are excellent. I never had any problem that wasn't fixed within a half hour. Victor was an especially friendly and courteous person, and kept my in-unit washer and dryer running spot-on. All of the people hired by management were actually really lovely people. I have a cat and couldn't use standard pesticides when I brought home weevils from the supermarket (this was on me--or rather Kellogg's company, not the apartment's fault, by the way) and got a roaring infestation, so the apartment hired a dude with pet-safe stuff (diatomaceous earth, I highly recommend it!) and the weevils were gone in 3 days. The apartments are not fancy to look at from the outside, but they have good internal design. The noise level in my apartment was excellent: I never heard my neighbors to the sides, and I only heard my upstairs neighbor when an elephant lived up there--I swear they were stomping around on purpose, because I had no problems of that nature before or after that particular resident. My neighbors were really fun people and we talked as neighbors do, instead of it being one of those cold, faceless apartment communities. I sort of think Chuck might be responsible for this too, since "Chuck = awesome" is a good icebreaker for starting a conversation with a resident, as everyone will nod and smile and agree with you. The property itself is pretty solid. The grounds are fairly non-existent, most likely due to cramped space in the city, but what landscaping there is by the pool is quite pretty. I also had a nice backyard area and lawn that was good for sunbathing--and most important for me, did not breed mosquitoes. It is possible that most apartments don't have access to that space however, since it seemed to be only available to first floor apartments in that row. The property is close to all sorts of shopping and 2 miles from both the university and the medical centers. It's a block from Reliant Stadium (I think it might be NRG Stadium now) and you should be aware that you should never take Main Street during the rodeo (February). All the traffic is easily bypassed by going on Buffalo Speedway though. I never had a noise problem from the stadium, nor were there safety issues regarding it either. I was able to walk daily up main street without a problem, in the dark, as a single woman, and not get mugged or even weirded out, although I might not recommend it for especially tiny or anxious women.”
— 2686 MURWORTH DR · HOUSTON“I stayed at wilshire from 2009 to 2010. I moved out only because I wanted a bigger apartment with washer dryer and wanted a gym. I never had any problems staying at wilshire. The office staff ( CHUCK ) is phenomenal - the best I have see so far. Chuck in particular is awesome. He is genuinely helpful and not just a string of words. He would call me everytime there is an important package to be picked up. Everytime I would put in a maintenance request, he would make sure it is taken care of within hours - never would roll over to the next day. No pest problems while i stayed there. The only problem I faced was - limited parking space near my apartment ( although you can reserve a spot by paying a nominal $25 for a month), especially if I arrived late at night. If this apartment had a gym, I would have stayed there. From an aesthetic view point, there is not much landscaping. I guess for a price that wilshire offers, being less than a mile away from groceries and being in the medical center, one could ignore the absence of landscaping. Common pool available, but I never used it.”
— 2686 MURWORTH DR · HOUSTON“Wilshire Park is a great apartment complex. For the location and quality of the apartments, the price cannot be beat, especially if you consider initial deposits. The office and maintenance staff are wonderful, and everyone around me is very friendly. I had two sets of people volunteer to help me carry mattresses while I was moving in! Also, everything is very clean- the lack of bugs is amazing- and I always feel pretty safe. The cons are that it isn't really in a neighborhood, so the surrounding atmosphere could be improved on. Also, it gets crazy during Texans games, so just stay inside during those 5 days a year!”
