“If you like to be extorted for money, and a lackadaisical response to emergency maintenance requests, this is the place for you. On Wednesday, February 5th, 2025, I arrived home to find a letter on my door informing me that I owed $144.40 in late fees for the month of February (see first picture). However, I had paid my rent on time as I always do. We are required to pay through a portal, and I have an electronic receipt from the portal (see second picture) that is date and time stamped that shows I paid within the time frame according to my lease contract. I also have an email confirmation from the portal that is date and time stamped as well (see third picture). I called The Dawson on Thursday, February 6th at 9:37 AM (see fourth picture) to get this matter resolved but, as usual, they did not answer the phone, so I left a voice mail message. I was polite in my message and figured this would be easy to straighten out with a phone call. However, I did not hear back from them. During the course of an entire business day, they couldn’t take 5 minutes out of what must be an extremely busy day (sarcasm intended) to call me back. This should speak volumes if you’re considering moving here. Later that afternoon, I got home about 6:30 PM and the fire alarm was going off only in my apartment. This is not to be confused with a smoke detector; the fire alarm is dangerously loud. I measured it at 112 decibels. There was no fire or any indication of smoke, so I called and left a message for an after-hours emergency maintenance request. This call was made at 6:33 PM as also shown in the fourth picture. Three minutes later, at 6:36 PM, I received a text message (see fifth picture) acknowledging my emergency maintenance request, but they would call me back “during business hours” which meant the following day. This could not wait until the following day; it was an emergency! Given the prior events of that day (no return call for the erroneous late fee charge and the text message dismissing my emergency maintenance request), I was furious. I called them back at 6:40 PM and left another message and told them that it needed to be addressed immediately, that I wasn’t able to stay in my apartment due to the loud noise. I used some foul language at this point, but if maintenance had addressed my emergency request properly the first time instead of just dismissing it until the following day, it would have never gotten to that point. The manager, Sandi Ramirez, called me back and left a message scolding me for using foul language and said that as a result of my foul language, she wasn’t sending anybody out until the following day as if I were being punished. I made one final phone call at 7:45 (fourth picture) to explain the events of earlier that day (no return phone call to my voice message left that morning and the lackadaisical response to my emergency request) that I would be pursuing the matter legally. I couldn’t stay in the apartment with the loud noise and had to find another place to stay overnight. I’ll close the same way I started. If you like to be extorted for money, and a lackadaisical response to emergency maintenance requests, this is the place for you.”

“Very well managed and maintained. The manager , J.T is always there to answer all questions/ concerns/problems . I wish there was a playground for kids. The swimming pools are beautiful and the gym is top notch !”

“I don't even know where to start with this apartment complex. "The Dawson's luxury apartment home." Ha! That's a joke. The walls are paper-thin. I can hear everything my upstairs neighbor is doing. At one point, the noise was all day and night and got so bad the walls were shaking, and art fell off the wall. I called the leasing office, and they told me she was a virtual fitness instructor. HOLY COW! What in the.... HELL... The lack of common sense and apartment etiquette. What an absolute Idiot! (If you know your job requires you to jump around, get an apartment on the first floor!) The outright disrespect for those around them is baffling. This is an apartment, not a house! Have some common courtesy, and don't disturb your neighbors! Unbelievable... Trashy, rude, and ------ behavior. I put numerous notes on her door, pleading with them to stop, and received back a threat. My guests won't even come over because of the disturbing loud banging on the walls. You would think the leasing office would have made them move to a unit on the first floor, NOPE! The incompetent and lazy leasing staff has done nothing. Once you sign the lease, they don't care. You have a complaint, oh well, deal with it..... I had to accommodate the two elephants and their calf. I had to buy expensive noise-canceling headphones and a commercial fan. This is by far the worst apartments I've lived in. Safety is a big issue here. Cars and apartment units are being broken into. I had to purchase my own security system because I was scared for my safety. The trash pick-up services doesn't pick up the trash. Trash and dog poop in the hallways. The hallways and unit smell like marijuana. The Parking is a joke. I'm counting the days until I move out. 57 days and counting! I'm so over this apartment complex. The experience I've had; has been extremely upsetting, and I've completely had it with this apartment complex. I've documented everything. If the unprofessional leasing staff gives me an ounce of grief now or after my move-out date. I will start knocking on doors asking residents with grievances to sign a petition and report this apartment complex. I will also be hiring an attorney. I wouldn't recommend this apartment complex to anyone. It's not worth the stress and price they charge for storage (rent).. There are better apartments in the area.”

“Rules do not exist at this property. Imagine being left in a dirty environment, no security or management available. I've called the front office 20 times in the past 2 weeks and I haven't had one call returned. Do not waste your time here”

“It is a nightmare living here, the walls are so thin, you will hear any noise coming from the hallways from 2-6 am. I also do not like how the management ignores you when you make several emergency requests. I would rather spend my money somewhere else. Do not recommend.”

“------ apartments. Trash is lying all over the garage and very loud at night, dogs are barking all night. The walls are very thin, I do like the surrounding restaurants, but you can find that anywhere. Not a good place to live.”

“I lived here for 2 years and the team is amazing! I loved the staff so much, they were always friendly and helpful, and the maintenance staff was eager to accommodate my request. The grounds were always clean and amenities were the best. Also, I LOVED the location. If I had not been relocated for my job I would still be living here!”

“Not recommended. Very bad management. Security is a joke, you will get followed behind the gate at all times. Management will never follow up to fix issues, just disappear after work. A lot of noise with the complex and terrible indoor amenities. All broken equipment.”

“I love my apartment. Been here for 3 years and do not want to leave. Office is nice. Maintenance is prompt. I'm enjoying my home. The new management staff throws amazing resident events. They are diligently working to keep our property clean. Terrific.”

“I hated living here. Constantly have to watch my back, car thefts / robbers always following you inside the gates. No security. Do not think the management even shows up to work, it is always ghost town in the office. It is a zoo like atmosphere with trash on every hall. Disgusting.”

“Loud environment, anyone can follow you in the gate to get inside the community. It is downright scary to be honest. Noise from the surrounding neighborhoods is terrible. Parking is never available since so many guests park on any floor they choose. Dogs are constantly barking, residence run down the hallways at 3-4 am. Drunk. Nobody should stay here, management is also absolutely horrible. Basically you don't even know they exist. SAVE YOUR MONEY!”

“Lazy people run this place. Overpriced and not worth the rent. The apartment may look nice from the inside, but the amenities are never updated. I have heard shootings outside of the apartment & multiple fights in the halls. Cars are always following you inside & parking anywhere they please. NOT SAFE! DON'T CHOOSE THIS APARTMENT.”

“Horrible experience here. Walls are thin, you will hear anything that moves while sitting in your place. The management is ghost, they will never help you. Also don't worry about all the weed smell walking the floors. The parking lot feels so unsafe, car break ins daily. This place does not care about the residents. I am so glad I left.”

“When I moved into Alexan Enclave the staff were nice and responsive. Now the community is unsafe, the staff are not very reasonable. The walls are thin and not to mention the ceilings. This place was poorly built. You can hear the persons every movement upstairs like an elephant is walking!!! I complained numerous times about the neighbors downstairs banging on their ceiling while I'm vacuuming or my 2 year old is running. Really? While I'm vaccuming? The managers response was that I live in a apartment community I am to be as quiet as I possibly can! Seriously??!!! How do you recommend I tell my 2 year old to stay put instead on running for less than 10 mins? Maybe in your lease include that the walls and floors are paper thin and you may require to stop living to live here. Thank god im leaving here next month. I will not be recommending!!! Not to forget that residents are always smoking in this non smoking environment. Very poor!!”

“The noise here is horrible, for me there is only maybe 2 quite night out of the whole months. The walls are thin. You can hear everything from your upstairs neighbor. The up keep of this community is okay... they freaking power wash the pool area Monday-Wednesday! From 9am - 2 pm. The guy that power wash it. Spray the same spots for an hr. So if you work night time don't get a unit by the pool area. Some people are careless and leave their dog poop everywhere and not picking it up. We pay for people to clean the place but seems like they don't care. The trash service is horrible. I have to go and take my trash out multiple time . The neighborhood is great because Kroger is across the street and they open 24 hrs. The maintenance people you have to put in 2 requests because sometime they forget you and you have to call and ask again. The staff is greate now. When I move in I last year 2017th the staff was horrible. I had 1 worker called me dumb Bc I did not talk and my brother was asking questions for me. Sorry it was my first time moveing out and he just wants me to be safe. Over all I'll give this place a 2.5 3 star.”

“DO NOT RESIGN AT THIS RESIDENCE. The new property Manager is a racist. I was called a ------ and racially profiled . This is the first time I have ever been disrespected and profiled . I received a letter to vacate the property within 24 hours. According to the lease you have 30 days to move from your current apartment. She is a racist and provoking women . Please consider when looking at this property. Please Share.”

“I love Alexan enclave it is the perfect environment. The property is cleaned daily and always kept up to standard. The staff are friendly and take pride in their work. It's also in the perfect and quite area.”

“Alexan Enclave is a place anyone would want to call home. To begin with, it is located in the famous "energy corridor", which means that you can find many things within walking distance, such as Kroger's, Mc Donald's, La Madelleine, Chase bank, Pot Belly, list goes on. Secondly, the apartments are in fact as beautiful as they appear to be in the pictures! Very spacious and at affordable prices. Thirdly, no one wants a boring life, so Alexan can provide you with so many types of entertainment of your choice. There is an excellent gaming room with a pool table, a coffee machine with Starbucks' coffee for all the coffee lovers out there, two swimming pools, a wide gym with several equipment, a computer lab with the latest technology, a conference room for those who have business meetings regularly and hardly find a good place to held them at, top-knotch security who is always supervising the building, AND to top it off FREE FAST WI-FI in the lobby. Some may think I am sugarcoating, but believe me I am not. I doubted Alexan Enclave's qualities and while living here, so far I have had an experience I never expected! Lastly, there will never be good service if there isn't a good staff! The staff is ALWAYS available to assist with each and every one of the residents' needs, which is also a bonus. Honestly, I won't say more. Just this: "Live good, Live ALEXAN!" A home and not a house. If anyone is considering this place, it is worth every penny.”
