After visiting half a dozen communities we ultimately signed with AMLI 2121. They checked every box for us and the experience here has been absolutely perfect!! Safety was our number 1 concern at the time for obvious reasons. As soon as we stepped foot onto the beautiful property it was immediately apparent that these guys take safety seriously! From the extra-secured parking garage to the RFID scanners everywhere, we knew we'd be in a safe place. It was a huge check mark on our list of necessities! I can't say enough good things about this community. Not only is the entire office staff amazing and sweet, but the maintenance crew and tenants are all very kind and welcoming! The building is in very good condition and the AMLI team puts a lot of time into keeping everything clean and up to date. Our service requests are always taken care of within 24 hours and the maintenance team even goes out of their way to say hello and asks how we're doing. Lastly, we fell in LOVE with Kelly and her warm disposition. Five minutes into her conversation she had us laughing and feeling like old friends! She was extremely helpful and genuinely cared about our needs. She goes out of her way to accommodate the tenants and always has a smile on her face. I always enjoy running into her around the office and I can just tell that she loves her job. Her welcoming personality is what ultimately sold us on the AMLI 2121 property. She's a badass. If you're on the hunt for a stunning place to live that's clean, stays up to date, and is in a really nice area, then stop your hunt right here! I'd highly recommend AMLI 2121 to anybody.”
“Living at Amli 2121 has been great overall. The maintenance guys are ehhh. Several times i've had to resubmit a service request because it wasn't finished or done incorrectly. The office staff needs prompting and constant reminding if you need something important done, but are very helpful. The overall grounds of the complex are well kept and well accommodating, and the neighborhood is nice. Amenities are great and I can't wait to continue living here!”

Well, they messed up because I recorded a detailed video of the whole apartment clearly showing the carpets in all rooms to be spotless. Make sure to take as much records as you can when you move out, also, insist on inspection while you are still present. These guys will rip you off if the can. Really unfortunate behavior.”

I left because I moved in with a partner in another part of the city, but if I could have continued to live in 2121 I would have. The apartment has a great community (good mixed of young adults and families) with excellent staff. The pool is beautiful and the apartment unit itself was gorgeous. Maintenance personnel were prompt and helpful, although I did have repeat issues with my garbage disposal. The location is the best selling point about Amli 2121 - residents are a 15 - 20 minute drive to pretty much anywhere inside I610. The only con to living at Amli 2121 is the parking situation. The garage is under the building, and although it's not technically underground, it did flood during Hurricane Harvey. There is also limited guest parking, which can become an issue when having guests over. Otherwise, I strongly recommend living at Amli 2121!”

Sometimes emails are slow in getting a response due to the bulk of residents but if you call you'll get taken care off immediately! I'm always greeted with a smile and love that. Complex is generally very peaceful and quiet. My apt faces the pool so May-Sept there is often loud music into the evenings which can be very disruptive and affects us a bit. Usually only when there are multiple stereos on at once does it turn into a headache - ha! The rec room upstairs is awesome and all brand new furnishings. The gym is really good for beginners/intermediate workout folk - no complaints! Maintenance are also some of the nicest individuals. There have been times when we were waiting a couple days to have something fixed (AC was out for 3 days in summer) but again, the bulk of apartments there plays a role. I do feel they do a great job! Favorite part is having the river and paths right across the street. We go on strolls almost every day or runs. We can easily get to Midtown on foot and other very cool bars like Bohem! Thanks Staff for being great!”

— 2121 ALLEN PKWY · Houston“I have lived at this location for the past 3 years and would say this complex deserves nothing but praise, taking into consideration almost all aspects of living in an apartment complex. 1- The staff is exceptional. From the office staff to the maintenance staff, they are always happy to see you both on/off the clock. (Example: I once needed a cup of milk for a Mac-and-cheese cook-off at work, having forgot to buy some at HEB, one of the office staff members was glad to provide me with the milk- which I accredit to winning the cook-off) They are dedicated to customer service and providing the best possible solutions in the most timely manner. (Example: After Hurricane Harvey hit even though I am located on the second floor of the complex, I received extensive water damage from my patio wall. Within a few weeks (keep in mind entire garage flooded and first floor) they had completely replaced the entire patio wall, door and windows. They were quick and quiet and very respectful. In addition, they provided the entire complex with lunch while renovations where being made. Before my apartment was even finished, the garage had been deep-cleaned and spray washed, the common areas were back up and running and everything was just as it was prior to the flooding. No cost out of my pocket! Keep in mind they even take flooding into consideration with flood gates- although Harvey, a once in a lifetime disaster flood, water went over our gates on the third day or so- the gates offered people time to relocate their cars and they held strong even when water rose well above them!) Meet the staff and you'll understand, very approachable! 2- The location is prime. You have easy access to a variety of restaurants, parks, running trails and shopping. They even have a small dog-park on site with a variety of pet waste stations around the property so you don't have to worry about carrying around bags. Or you can visit the massive dog park just across the street which offers a pong and dog wash station. 3- Cost. Living in Houston is expensive! They offer affordable pricing in this competitive market. Along with both free off and on-site maintenance. Where once a maintenance request is put in, they typically get to it the same day. From replacing bulbs to unclogging drains, fixing AC units, replacing keys, filters and even fixing cosmetic damage within the apartment they do it all at no cost to me! 4- FREE Valet Trash or opt to throw your trash in a nearby trash shoot. 5- Landscape is very well maintained. Pleasing and they provide plenty of common areas to pursue activities such as a large front grassed area in front of the complex where you can plan a picnic, play frisbee or just relax. They offer stairs as well as elevators around the property for accessibility, this includes a elevator down to the front grassed area! Overall the complex is very clean and organized. While it may be considered a slightly older property, you would never know due to how well they maintain it. 6- Amenities. They offer two pools: Social and relaxation. Gas grill pits. Multiple common lounge areas inside and outside. Fully furnished wellness center, stretch/dance studio, and of course gym. A fully furnished coffee lounge which serves Starbucks coffee. Fully furnished study room with multiple computers and a printer. Fully furnished game room with a poker table, pool table, tv lounge area and of course full service kitchen for entertaining. You can even "rent" out the game/entertaining room for FREE! Of course these areas are always cleaned and they remodel them yearly to stay trendy. The mail room even has a clean trash shoot to quickly dispose of unwanted mail and a table to sort through other mail. On a side note they offer 24/7 access to a secure package room so you don't have to worry about being home or having packages stolen. You can also rent a storage unit on site, close to your apartment, in a variety of sizes for a small cost, which is nice- I use one to store my bikes: even though the offer two free large bike storage areas that are key activated and security camera monitored. I even see people store their kayak's in there! 7- Social. They offer free yoga on Mondays and plan a variety of social events through the year. Their seasonal parties in the patio lot in front of the leasing office are legendary. I'm talking free food, free booze, live music, raffles, silent auctions, freebies, vendors and a fun time. Best way to celebrate the seasons changing. They run contests from month to month. The social pool offers legendary summertime socials put on by the community of individuals residing in the apartments so it is easy to make new friends and have fun. The property staff will even hand out popsicles on some days! Wristbands are implicated with guests passes so it is safe and residents can invite friends! 8- They keep a updated website as well as app for easy resident portal access and are superb in sending prompt e-mails for important events or maintenance related aspects. Communication is amazing and not overwhelming. They tell you why you need to know and don't bombard you with unnecessary info. Another side note- they offer a blog on a variety of topics that incorporate the local community, tips and how to upgrade your lifestyle in terms of saving money and focusing on environmental activeness. 9- Security is highly important. Access to any part of the building, except the leasing office when open, is through key fob. There are various security cameras on the property and in high traffic areas. They offer a official Uber/taxi pickup/drop off location. Resident parking is gated. When security is questioned or events in the area drive larger traffic, security guards are brought in and placed around various entry/exit points for safety and at least one security guard is always present regardless. 10- Occupancy is high and the application process for move-in enforces that all residents are capable, responsible, respectful and safe to themselves and other residents. 11- Actual apartments are trendy and functional. With tile where needed (bathroom and kitchen) and carpet for comfort (bedroom and living space). They offer walk-in closets, washer and dryers in each apartment itself, some apartments offer two stories plans and have a large selection of options for floor-plans and location. Another big point is that the walls are well insulated so you don't hear your neighbors on any side while inside the apartment itself. Of course all apartments come with fire detectors, a multitude of electrical outlets (love), sprinkler system and a fan in the bedroom (double Love). Overall the complex is remarkable. The staff is useful, empathetic and responsive. The location is inviting. The residents are energetic. The amenities are refreshing. Amili 2121 really does create a community feeling and their experience in apartment living shows. They go above and beyond and that is hard to find here in Houston.”

They never follow through on fixing things. And let me tell you, logic fails to prevail upon the office staff about anything that goes wrong. Furthermore, the way the property is kept is awful. Its dirty, there's constantly dog pee and poop in the stairwell. People leave food containers that don't get removed for over 6 words weeks. The trash was literally overflowing the chutes. The bathroom at the pool is disgusting. The security is terrible- key fob locks constantly broken, people propping the door open with rocks... yet the nit wit office staff fought me over giving me a fob for my children "because security" and only after my kids got locked out several times did they capitulate, which is ridiculous! My children are small and were with a non English speaking sitter. The office staff can only see what their policy is without any logic applied at all. I rent a 3 bedroom apartment, was supposed to get 3 parking spots in my lease but they refused to do so, another major hassle to even get an extra sticker, that I rightfully should have had. I have been towed 3 times from here, illegally. The first time they never respond to my emails about my other car- that got towed because they wouldn't give me the sticker. Then my boyfriend's car has been towed twice both times with a pass/ sticker! The office staff usually just throws up their hands. I have seen this towering company tow people's cars with stickers and I believe someone in the office is getting a kick back. And really even to get them to update the mailbox with my name so I could receive my driver's license was 8 emails plus two trips down to the office, which is just ridiculous. Its unfortunate because I loved the location and the apartment itself - huge 3 bedroom plus study but paying $2400 a month for a poorly kept building, terrible customer service from complete idiots in the office isn't worth it. There are much nicer apartments for the price and less --------. Avoid Amli 2121 if you have any level of intelligence.”

Maintenance and overall staff are more than willing to help. The floor-plan of our apartment is handy (and spacious!) and we use all the facilities a lot. Especially the gym and the pools. I don't think I have negative things to say about AMLI 2121. The overall community feel could be a little bit better - there are not a lot of residents events. But that's a small thing for us, we really like living here!”

The lower level parking area is way to low. The elevators are a hit or miss. The security in the parking garage is poor. The package delivery system loses packages without any help to recover them. There are a lot of hidden fees associated with the rent that are not disccused at the time of signing a lease.”

There is a high proportion of college-age and young adult residents (myself included), and from time to time, the place can be lively/noisy (choose depending on how introverted you feel). City events (races/parades/concerts, etc.) are frequently held in the area, which is super convenient for attendance, but can make vehicle access to the property challenging every once in a while (beyond management's control, for sure). There's very little visitor parking, and days in which every single visitor space is full are frequent. Also, I strongly advise that residents relocate their cars in advance of major flooding events like Harvey.”
