“If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The Cove is easily the most disgusting, neglected property I have ever encountered. Living here isn't just an inconvenience; it’s a genuine threat to your physical and mental well-being. The infestation is out of control. It doesn’t matter how clean you keep your unit—roaches are crawling out of the vents and rats are making themselves at home in the walls. It is absolutely stomach-turning to wake up in a place that feels like a breeding ground for filth. The management is, quite frankly, useless. They treat tenants like an annoyance rather than human beings paying for a habitable home. They are dismissive, rude, and completely indifferent to the crumbling state of the building. Getting them to acknowledge a maintenance request is like pulling teeth, and even when they do, nothing actually gets fixed. The most heartbreaking part is how this environment affects children. My kid was actually bitten by a bug inside our own home and ended up hurt. No parent should have to worry about their child’s safety from pests in their own living room. Living here is depressing. It is a drain on your spirit to be stuck in a place that smells of neglect and is overrun by vermin while management collects your check and ignores your calls. Do yourself a favor: run the other direction. This place needs a visit from the health department, not a new tenant. Used AI to write this cause it’s so depressingly disgusting to put in to my own words.”
— 2000 BAY AREA BLVD · HOUSTON“Nothing but constant issues since I've moved in here. My window sill had a leak in the actual wall trim which I plugged up with caulk but and I told them there was water getting into the wall which I'm not even sure if they fixed. There was countless holes in my walls and ceiling which I've had to fill myself. My AC would give out all the time cause apparently I had the oldest unit in the building and they've had me on a portable unit for almost an entire month now. My door has big gaps in it which I've been told is irreparable. My sink leaks at the bottom which I've also been told is irreparable. The bathroom sink water has an odd smell when it's turned on. Maintenance does not exist on the weekends so if you have a problem on Friday good luck dealing with it for 3 days. Can't tell if its a shoddy paint job or not but I think there's black mold on my vents. And many more micro issues. But the biggest issue has absolutely been the bugs, been constantly battling roaches in my kitchen since the day I moved in here, first week I had an ant problem, and just today I found larvae for a case bearing clothes moth crawling up my wall. Before I moved in they told me that this unit had been renovated which I feel completely lied to about. I would love nothing more than to leave this place immediately but I literally can't afford an early termination fee for my lease so I'm stuck in this place for the next 6 months.”
“They're fine for minor problems, but when something actually needs replacing, expect to wait for months. We've been waiting forever for a new AC and dishwasher. If you bring it up, they label you a difficult tenant and just repeat the same excuses over and over. Honestly, it's best to avoid dealing with them.”
— 2000 BAY AREA BLVD · HOUSTON“I dont live here, but live close. Is this complex a HUD/section 8 complex? I see the most thuggish people walking the streets ALL hours of the night and day and if they arent walking, they are SPEEDING down Gemini blasting bass type music with zero regard for anyone around them. Junky half working cars driving in and out, Cove residents sneaking on the the properties around them searching out Amazon packages, or any package they can snatch. Guys with their pants hanging down around their butt. and the portion that faces Gemini looks like JUNK! Loud cars and music coming from the back of the complex by the back entrance gates, suspicious AF people walking across from the complex at all hours of the morning onto the other properties surrounding them. This place is the BANE of University Green, which is going to the dogs slowly. Get your people under control!!!! I would not advise and self respecting persons to live here if they take pride in those types of clientele!”
