Pros: The building is extremely well maintained, staff are friendly, neighbors are kind and overall the experience of living here is nothing short of fantastic. You pay the price for it, but if you can afford to live here it's a wonderful place to be. Connected to everything by transit, etc. Cons: I have basically no complaints about living here, other than the elevators which everyone will mention go out regularly. Occasionally I can hear my neighbors but it is quiet enough to easily be ignored or cover over with my own music or a podcast. Advice to landlord: Fix the elevators!

Pros: Concierge is good Cons: Elevators are constantly not working. Shared furniture is incredibly dirty. 1 bedrooms have no washer/dryer. The heating system is off/on.

Unit 44D Pros: No noise from neighbors when inside the apartment (unless your neighbors hang out with young children in the hallway, which happened constantly for us). Repair requests are handled promptly. The doormen are amazing. The building is near so many subway lines, which makes getting around easy. The Fort Greene nei Cons: The elevator situation in this building is truly terrible. Despite having six elevators for 53 floors (one being a service elevator), at least one is almost always out of service—and often for weeks at a time. This causes major delays when trying to get to or from your apartment. On some days, two or even three elevators will be down, making the wait unbearably long. Lines regularly form in the elevator bay and spill out the front door. To make matters worse, the building management is appalling when it comes to notifying residents about elevator issues. When an elevator goes out of service, management often puts their email on "Out of Office" (this is not a joke) and directs all complaints to the doormen, who are powerless to fix the problem. Occasionally, residents receive an email full of excuses about how difficult it is to repair the elevators—citing their European origin as a major challenge—but nothing ever changes. The elevators were unreliable when I moved in six years ago, and they still fail constantly today. That said, I can’t speak highly enough of the doormen, who are excellent. It’s just unfortunate that the management is equally as terrible as the doormen are fantastic. Additionally, the building’s proximity to a hospital results in a lot of ambulance and fire truck noise. Due to the local street layout, ambulances have to loop around the building from Flatbush Avenue to reach the hospital, often getting stuck in traffic. Flatbush is already a noisy street with no shoulder, so when ambulances are stuck, the sirens are very audible from the apartments. This means that no matter where your apartment is located—facing any direction or on any floor—you’ll likely deal with frequent siren noise. Advice to landlord: Fix the elevators. Stop making excuses. Get it done. No one feels sorry for you.

Pros: The staff (not management) are very helpful, responsive, and friendly- they make living here bearable; Great light and views; Central air and heat; Close to McDonald’s. Cons: Elevators are frequently down. I’m on the 40th floor, and wait times for me are typically between 7-10 minutes in the morning. As of late there have been lines out the door to get an elevator back upstairs during rush hour, with wait times of 30 minutes or more. This has been a chronic problem for years; Walls are paper thin. When my neighbor coughs, I jump because it sounds like they’re in my living room; Being next to Flatbush kind of blows. Very loud, even from the 40th floor; I feel like we should be getting a washer dryer in unit with the rent they charge. Or at the very least, supply enough washers and dryers for the entire building. Maybe even throw in a working elevator or two. Advice to landlord: Fix the elevators already. And charge fair rent.

Pros: In my two years here I have enjoyed the building's great location, outdoor grills, and friendly staff. Given construction in the area you can probably get a good deal right now and its a nice place to live most of the time (see cons). Cons: There have been consistent elevator issues since the building opened. It's a regular occurrence to have 1-2 of the 4 high rise elevators out which results in long waits. One day in March 2024 was egregiously bad -- 5/6 elevators were out and it took an hour of waiting to get down and back up. If this was a one off event I could understand, but these elevators are unreliable at worst and occasionally unnerving at best. Advice to landlord: Fix the elevators!

Pros: The staff here is incredible and do the best they can under the circumstances. The units are decently well-built, and corner units have a lot of privacy and light. Amenities are affordable and often rarely used. Cons: Given that it's a corporate management organization, rents are exorbitant and non-negotiable if you're in a market-rate unit. They will leave units empty for as long as it takes to get a tenant who is willing to pay above market rate. Street noise is loud, but tolerable. Neighbors are variable depending on the floor you live on; domestic disputes are not uncommon. Constant elevator issues, which can be troublesome if you live on a higher floor. Laundry room could be better maintained— washers and dryers aren't the best.

Pros: Lived here for 3 years and loved my studio facing Fort Greene. I had no major issues with my apartment while living there. Management was responsive and bldg staff were always friendly and helpful. Cons: -thin walls; I could head my neighbor when he had guests over -some units are for the lower income lottery. I had neighbors next to me that were violent and abusive with each other that I had to call security at 2am. There have been some cases of domestic violence in the bldg.
