For everyone considering moving here: DO NOT MOVE TO JAMES MARQUIS. Staff is great, but Management could not care less about nuisance and there is endless facade work going on for a year with multiple extensions. Also, THEY REFUSE TO HELP TENANTS MOVING EARLY FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER. Imagine paying 7k USD monthly and seeing workers outside your unit watching you everyday. That is what you can expect living here.

This has been an amazing place to live! We're moving only because we need more space, otherwise, we wouldn’t leave. The building is always spotless, the community is friendly, and the two fast elevators are super convenient. Maintenance requests through the app are handled promptly, and the apartments are bright and filled with natural light. Plus, the Amazon lockers are a huge time-saver. We absolutely loved our time here!

I am honestly extremely disappointed in this building. I have lived here for almost two years now and if it wasn't for the 18 month lease that I signed, I would have moved out a long time ago (I am moving out next week). I have never met such an unprofessional community. I have experienced so many problems, the latest coming from the super. The super is the most disrespectful person I have ever met, and the management definitely did not give us all the information about his availability when we first moved in. To schedule my move out day, I had to reserve the service elevator. Of course, I contacted the super 2 weeks in advance, followed up twice, only to never receive a response, until I finally heard back 5 days before my scheduled move out. The super answered my phone call and to my dismay, started YELLING, yes literally yelling, at me and bluntly told me I could not move out on that day and there was nothing he could do about it. Keep in mind I am only 22 years old, and was speaking to him extremely calmly. There was no reason for him to get angry. Of course, I reported it to management, and he was able to "let" me move out! This is just one problem in the millions I have experienced. The building has no respect for their residents whatsoever. Just as an example, they chose to cut off the water between 9PM and 1AM on a Saturday night, yes, a Saturday night. They also once cut off the water on a Tuesday between 9AM and 2PM, and while most of us are working from home, this makes absolutely no sense. These two water cuts were within 1 month of each other. Why there are so many problems with their plumbing, I can't know. It also would not hurt for them to give notice to their residents. The only notice they gave was a flyer in the elevator. And, again, with most of us being confined, how in the hell are we going to know if we are staying in our apartments? They could call or email! They should even do their repairs at a time when most of the residents do not use water, not during peak hours! One last thing that I hated about this apartment is the insulation. If you think your apartment price is a steal for its size, what you don't expect at lease signing is the $400 heating bill you will have to pay in the winter.
