Unit 5C Pros: The building has a lot of long time tenants, so there’s a sense of community and everyone rallies together when issues arise. The landlord is responsive, but takes some nagging to get things done. Anything emergent will always be cared for. The street is quiet and safe and if you like old features in an apartment this building has them! Cons: We’ve had two fires in the three years we’ve lived here. One was human error, the other was electrical which is terrifying. It’s an old building but that should be a priority when remodeling. You can hear people above and next to you footsteps but tbh that’s just apartment living. If you don’t speak Spanish it is hard to get the Super to do anything for you

Pros: Very close to the A subway stop, and an easy commute downtown. Very close to the river, beautiful view, and access to Fort Tryon and Fort Washington parks! Really great if you like having green space to go for a walk or run. Cons: We did have a gas leak. But it got fixed.

Pros: Quiet and safe neighborhood, relatively close to A train, rent stabilized apartments in building High ceiling pre-war apartments. Public areas are cleaned regularly. Cons: The gas has been cut off for over 10 months TWICE in the last 5 years. Repairs are done to the minimum level, and the super is extremely rude. Landlord is responsive but full of it, they care very little about the tenants and the state of the building. The roof leaks during storms. The whole south wing was just gutted by a fire and the fire department pumping water into it, I would never live on that side of the building (Apartments A - E) Advice to landlord: Fix the leaks
