I have lived in NYC for 9 years and 622 east 11th street was mg 9th apartment. I am a former real estate agent and have also worked with many management companies. This company is TRASH. They ignore emails. Their apartments are such poor quality and they don't care about their tenants. There is major theft in this building. When I brought it up to management, they told me to file a police report. I did and the police literally emailed and talked to them about solutions to help the issue. They did nothing and blame it on the fact that "it's NYC, it happens???????" which is unacceptable. We had our spare keys mailed back to us and someone stole those keys and were threatening to harm me and my roommate. They also were going to still charge us a fee for fixing our lock although the buildings carelessness was to blame. They do many other things that aren't standard for property managers. They are lazy and not qualified quite frankly it seems. Do NOT rent from them unless u want to have the worst time of your life :)

Pros: Loved the doormen. Everyone I interacted with was super sweet. My room was a nice size. The have building laundry room. Cons: My room was a nice size but the rest of the apartment was absolutely tiny. Hallway for a kitchen. I did experience a bug problem but they took care of it. The heat was finicky. Advice to landlord: Schedule the heat in the units. Cold nights are no fun.

Pros: - Doormen are very friendly and communicate openly with you. I'll miss the doorman/package holding most of all! - All utilities are included in the rent! & since there is an AC in each room, which works decently well, it's great to know you can run it as much as you want during the HOT summer because the price is included in your rent! - Super close to lots of train lines!!!!! Cons: - When you take a shower the water is VERY unpredictable. Switches from Freezing to SCALDING HOT in a matter of seconds... makes it really frustrating to have a decent shower and esp in a timely manner seeing as you have to wait for the temperature to balance out again every time. - Hot water knob for the bath (not the shower) is almost ALWAYS brown, rusty water... - Difficult to control the radiator - it works STRONG when you don't need it and doesn't heat up enough when you do! - When we moved in, we would get recurring splinters on our feet (even through socks!) from the wood floor... The only reason we don't get many splinters now is that we personally sanded those areas down, so we wouldn't get more splinters. - Not a proper peephole, since you can see the person through it... - roaches/waterbugs - mice/rat in basement - laundry machines that don't work properly - chipping lead paint Advice to landlord: Come see the apartment yourself and ask yourself if you would pay that much for this apartment...

Pros: 1. Location 2. Friendly doorman 3. Cheaper compared to other options in the neighborhood Cons: 1. Roach and rat issues 2. Road construction that happens at night. 3. Loud neighbor if you have bad luck 4. Some apartments on the 12th floor have water pressure issue that the building cannot resolve. 5. Unhelpful building management, and the super can be difficult.

The management at Metronest is an absolute disgrace. If you have an option between any of apartment and using them - choose the other apartment. I've about to finish my year lease and never will I deal with them again. I didn't have hot water or heating for the month of January and every time I would raise it with them, it was like I was annoying them. I also didn't have any hot water for the month of July. Any time you have a problem you're simply ignored or spoken to rudely. I was hung up on because I was trying to resolve a problem they created. I'm sure they think being in the rental market in NYC makes them untouchable (and I probably agree given the competition right now) but they are the worst and I wouldn't ever recommend them

Truly disappointing. Tried to rent an apartment but everytime I applied they cancelled the application after a few days, which I would find out when I went to the office, because they wouldn't respond my emails in this regard. The second time they changed the unit I applied to without my knowledge, selecting a more expensive unit with one less room.
