Clean, great location, extremely friendly tenants. Hallways immaculate, nice prewar building. Only caveat is Management is unfriendly and you have to get buzzed into locked doors every time you want to get in the building.

The location is the main reason I choose it here and I like the apartment that I live in right now. However the only bad thing is the front desk lady is super AGGRESSIVE and RUDE! She is so inpatient and not respectful to ----- people. So stay away. No matter u talk nice or not nice her reply is alway unfriendly at all.

On the surface the building looks good but that is where it ends. This is glitz with no substance. The pipes are a disaster and many mice running around at night. The workers can be surly and have hands out for any trivial help they may give. I have lived in New York my whole life and can honestly say that this is not a good building.

Great bldg in the heart of the upper west side. right off the subway, close to restaurants, central park, riverside park. Wonderful with pets. The best management I have ever dealt with. Fast and reliable service and pleasant doorman.

Unfortunately, the only great thing about living here is the location and the fact that they allow pets. Probably because of the age of the building, there is no sound proofing and too many cracks and crevices for second hand smoke to fill your apartment. I'm a non-smoker and it is practically impossible not have clothes and bedrooms fill with smoke or other unsavory unhealthy odors from neighbors who refuse to open a window when smoking. The management is okay but it lacks a staff of professionally skilled repair people. The repair work you need may get worse or just be temporarily fixed until some major work is needed. Fast temporary and messy are good descriptions. The water pressure is good for hot water but for some reason the cold is weak so you have to have weak showers so you don't burn yourself. The building is in the process of making cosmetic improvements as well as adding fire doors, but I believe it is only being done to add MCI charges to existing rents to push out the lower renters. The newer renters are generally affluent and by and large unfriendly. I have witnessed many new tenants try to close the elevator doors to keep people from joining them in the elevator. I have lived in this building for many years (when it was a bad neighborhood) but mostly I stay because it is still my only "home" and the location has become safer and convenient. If you choose to live here, please be courteous and thoughtful of your neighbors. It goes a long way to creating a nice living atmosphere for everyone.
