I lived her for a year and aside from the friendly and helpful doormen, I don't have many positive things to say about my experience. First of all, when we moved into the apt the floor was in horrible condition (they had recently put finish on it but it was peeling everywhere) and there weren't any outlet covers in the kitchen. After trying to call the management company numerous times about the floor they finally agreed to refinish them. This meant for the first week of our time there we couldn't really get settled because we had to move all of our furniture into one of the bedrooms. We were told we wouldn't be held liable for the floors in the bedroom seeing as walking on them barefoot would cause pieces of the finish to unpeel(fast forward to the last paragraph where we are now being charged for it). We also had an issue with the electric bill, it finally got sorted out but not after at least 20 phone calls on our side to the unresponsive management company. They won't let you speak to the actual manager (who is a greedy jerk so he's not pleasant to speak to anyways) and they often come up with excuses hoping you will eventually just give up. It is so irritating having to call them every single day for 2-3 weeks just to get some sort of a response. The super in the building isn't helpful as well, we asked him numerous times to put covers on the outlets (he NEVER did), that must be a safety hazard! It took him MONTHS to get our hot water fixed on our sink when it wasn't until the faucet started dripping (causing further cost to them) that he was able to come up and do it in a few minutes. Perhaps it was because we were renters but they had NO respect for us. Now that we have moved out, they docked our security deposit for the floor (are you kidding me? they did a horrible job to begin with and they know this), they charged us 1000 dollars for returning a pair of keys late even though nothing happened in the apt during that week, and they are docking us 1000 dollars due to wall repairs from our pressurized wall which we had professionally removed. So now we are asking for an itemized bill of the charges incurred due to our apt and surprise surprise they are ignoring our phone calls. I can't speak for owners in the building but as a renter I would tell you to stay far away from this building, the management and the super are absolutely horrendous.
