Unit 18A Pros: Nice lobby, good amenities, fast elevators, no maintenance problems, thick walls = never have noise issues Cons: Too small, but that's NY I guess. Some of the doormen are great but others can be jerks. Advice to landlord: n/a, good job

Good Building But Too Expensive

Pros: Nice doorman, good location if you like FIDI, water views. Cons: Weird smell, elevators are hot, trash man is mean. Advice to landlord: Desmell lobby, be better at communicating.

I would recommend this building

Pros: -Clean -Responsive management -Gym/lounge and package valet service -Building has a beautiful lobby -Employees are friendly Cons: AC/Heat units need to be updated. Electric bill seems to run higher than my previous NY apartments. Advice to landlord: Update AC/Heat units.

This building is taking advantage of its most loyal residents

Pros: Location, ambiance, current rent price. Cons: Raising rent prices $1000 should be a crime. How do they expect people to stay in the building, and especially during a pandemic??! The building is taking advantage of long-time residents like me, and it’s disgusting. Advice to landlord: Please reconsider raising rent prices by this exuberant amount!!

Terrible building full of extremely loud neighbors who spend all day repeatedly stomping, slamming doors, and pounding walls, even late at night or early in the morning. The building staff refuse to cooperate despite my numerous complaints. It sounds like there are earthquakes 24/7 due to the neighbors repeatedly stomping and making noise.

Moved in not too long ago and was given a unit with no properly working AC. Yes, in summer time. My apartment is hot all day and night, and this is over a month ago now. I have issued multiple complaints and management is either not responsive or giving me the run-around. The staff are really nice people but there are only 2 maintenance people working on the whole building, which is why nothing ever gets done. Incredible given that the apartments here are priced on the high end. DO NOT LIVE HERE. I already made this mistake for you.

I think this might be the worst apartment I’ve ever lived in. If you are considering renting here, I would avoid at all costs. The area is amazing but there’s so many better places to live. The apartments are cheaply made, so can hear everything your neighbors do. There’s absolutely no noise installation. If something breaks in your apartment; be prepared for maintenance to never fix it. You have the hound them and send repeated emails to Lee to get anything fixed. In addition the only way to make a request is with the doorman. You have no way to track of your requests and they won’t tell you when they come into your apartment or if they fixed anything at all. My dishwasher was constantly leaking, the upstairs neighbors apartment flooded and bubbled my ceilings, just left my ceiling and part of a wall looking a mess. Worst yet my closet fell out of my wall and they zip tied it back to wall and told me to try and not use the only closet I had in the studio apartment. It stayed like that till I moved out. My air conditioner/heater was in terrible shape when I moved in. It was so old, it either leaked or refused to turn on. It jacked your electricity bills up to ridiculous amounts and there was nothing you could do about it. Not having adequate heat in the winter was terrible. They didn’t even care if you threatened to make a 311 complaint because they already had so many for the elevators that constantly broke down and trapped you inside. I lived here for three years and was miserable the entire time. I wish I could have moved sooner. In addition, it took constant emails to get my security deposit back and I kept getting one excuse after another way it wasn’t mailed out. The only plus in the this place is the doorman and the concierge. All doorman and Angie in the mailroom were amazing and I was sad to leave them when I moved
