“Pros: Staff, clean, well maintained building Cons: Potentially going co-op Advice to landlord: Nothing”
— 1608 1 AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Lived there a few years ago and all I can remember is that the freezer was broken and somehow was both too warm and also giving everything freezer burn for months and we submitted so many requests throughout a few month period and nobody came to fix it until a few weeks before our lease was up Cons: Above is my con but also it’s a pro that that’s the only issue I can remember.”
— 1608 1 AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Everyone in the building is nothing but kind, staff really help out Cons: Some aspects could use some touching up, like carpeting in hallways. Nothing else!”
— 1608 1 AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: The building staff is phenomenal and manegement is responsive. Cons: Some updates needed. Advice to landlord: None”
“Pros: Great staff and place. Each floor has 6 or less units so it feels like a nice small place to live in. Cons: Have to pay extra for amenities, but everything else is great. Advice to landlord: Need to automate the heater and AC units. Perhaps centralize it using Nest products for more efficient centralized temperature controlling”
— 1608 1 AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: The building staff are the best Cons: Street noise is relentless between the dirt bikes/ATVs constantly running up 1st ave and the new 22 story building going up on 85th and 1st. Elevators are very slow, only 3 elevators service 40+ floors and one of which is often out of service for moving/maintenance. Also the cockroaches... yuck disgusting Advice to landlord: None at this time”
— 1608 1 AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Well kept common spaces, very friendly staff. Cons: Expensive and can hear traffic noises despite being on the 22nd floor. Advice to landlord: Improve sound insulation.”
