— 350 WEST 43 STREET · Manhattan“Unit 12B Pros: Management is responsive and the workers there are lovely. The apartments are of great size. Close to subway, restaurants and supermarkets. Cons: The area is not the best due to proximity to Port Authority. Apartments facing 42nd street can get pretty noisy. The building used to be rent stabilized, but that expired Summer 2024z”
“Pros: Friendly staff, clean building, clean units Cons: Construction noise at times from nearby buildings”
— 350 WEST 43 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Management is very responsive, all building amenities are well maintained, building staff are welcoming and friendly Cons: Location next to Times Square is very difficult to get used to - lots of noise and light pollution, and rough elements at all time of day and night”
— 350 WEST 43 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Very responsive staff, clean laundry room, little to no issues with bugs or pests Cons: Location is extremely inconvenient, and street has been consistently under construction Advice to landlord: None, cons are out of owner's control”
— 350 WEST 43 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Doormen are efficient and friendly Convienent location WAS rent stabilized. Cons: Rent stabilization expired. Marketed and priced as a luxury building with no true luxury amenities The new super Will Hart is a poor manager of the building the previous super Luis was a much better communicator and cared about his job he would be continually updating us as to maintenance and elevator shut downs. The building seems to have a never ending water issue it’s CONSTANTLY getting shut off or there’s no hot water. It’s very evident the building is showing its age and starting to fall into disrepair as well as it’s dated the hallways and carpets are worn out peeling wallpaper ect. I would not recommend living here with the prices they are charging. Not to mention the area is just unpleasant polluted/dangerous with port authority bus terminal across the street homeless and junkies everywhere. Advice to landlord: Update the building, charge reasonable prices, recognize what type of building you have and the area work to keep current tenants after rent stabilization expires (I am leaving)”
— 350 WEST 43 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Doormen Luxury building Clean Cons: Noise, Area, Construction Advice to landlord: NA”
— 350 WEST 43 STREET · Manhattan“Unit 41A Pros: Very friendly staff, affordable amenities, very responsive porters Cons: Laundry machines aren’t cleaned regularly Advice to landlord: None”
— 350 WEST 43 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Wonderful doormen/concierge/staff/maintenance, extremely friendly and helpful. Great at managing packages. You can get things fixed pretty much immediately. Can't hear anything above and below you. Really great kitchen and bathroom. Large for a one bedroom. Cons: Can hear next door neighbors sometimes. Once in awhile, there is construction. AC units are OK but don't work perfectly. Expensive now but probably on market. Neighborhood-wise, this block often feels kind of sketchy.”
— 350 WEST 43 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Nice staff, clean, convenient location, good noise insulation Cons: Neighbor smoked all the time which leaked into my room, next door has construction so sketchy people hung out under the scaffold”
— 350 WEST 43 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Management is solid. Supers are good. Rooms are good and very soundproof. Views are amazing. Location is central. Doormen are super friendly. Cons: Amenities are pretty non-existent. The biggest issue is the surrounding area is awful. Port authority spills over and the homeless are extremely hostile. The area is loud, dirty, and terrible.”
— 350 WEST 43 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Doormen were great. felt safe Cons: Didn’t love my neighbors. Not a great “community” feel”
— 350 WEST 43 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: responsive management, great doormen, spacious apartments Cons: very close to times square and port authority”
— 350 WEST 43 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: very central location right next to most subway lines, management and maintenance is very responsive Cons: area is very busy and loud, lots of tourists”
— 350 WEST 43 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Doormen are very friendly and helpful Cons: If you live in the lower tower, you are less likely to encounter issues with the water. But even the lower towers, the bath water will be a bit brown/yellow if they are doing work on it or it hasn't been turned on in a while.”
— 350 WEST 43 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Ivy Tower is split into two buildings (one with 8 floors, second with 45 floors). They have separate elevators; shorter one has access to the roof; taller building has the laundry, lounge, and gym. For $150/year per unit, you get a key fob to access the gym and lounge. The gym is equipped with a decent amount of equipment and TVs. Lounge room has a pool table, desks, and unlimited coffee from espresso machine. Laundry requires a separate card to pre-load funds. They recently replaced several machines in 2022. I never had a problem securing a machine for washing/drying. The building allows for flex walls to built in your room and allows for multiple people to pay for rent in the same unit. The building also has a community board for job postings, sales, inquiries of those in the building. Building management is located on the ground floor. Staff are all super friendly and the doormen will know you by name. Cons: I lived in a corner unit on the 19th floor that did not have much noise from neighborhoods or street (despite the close vicinity of one of the busiest intersections in the city). If you open your windows, it will be really loud and they also don’t have screens!! Did not have any pest/rodent problems. Maintenance requests were usually saw in a day or two. Intercom ringing can be really loud and disrupt roommates. The building has access to rooftop but it’s only on the 8th FL (not the tall side).”
— 350 WEST 43 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Really friendly doorman, helpful team on site and great amenities. Cons: You have to pay an annual fee for the amenities. Advice to landlord: Keep your doormen because youre amazing and easily the best part of this apartment!”
— 350 WEST 43 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: * front desk security people knows everyone's faces * leasing office is very responsive over email * elevators are fast once you are in them * no rooftop on the tall building, but on the mini tower (5 or 6 stories), there's a rooftop * apartments don't come with blinds Cons: * when all 3 elevators are working, things move quite quickly, but for several months, there were only 2 and sometimes only 1 elevator available for a 45 floor building + penthouses which means it would take 5-10 minutes to get in the elevator sometimes * garden and outdoor deck were closed most of the year Advice to landlord: you should live here!”
— 350 WEST 43 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Awesome doormen and staff Highly accessible location A lot of laundry units Well equipped common area with fast wifi Cons: Laundry got stolen Super was unhelpful/said it wasn’t his problem Friedman management not responsive Outdated furnishings”
— 350 WEST 43 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Very kind and attentive doormen (24/7), reasonable price for amount of space Cons: Cockroaches (even on the 40th floor / nothing done about it), location is not the best and so feel unsafe walking down the block after certain hours Advice to landlord: Please do something about cockroaches”
— 350 WEST 43 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Lovely doormen, attentive handymen, the staff are amazing Cons: Paying extra for the amenities which were not fully open during COVID”
— 350 WEST 43 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: The staff is terrific. I have my favorites among the doormen, and the majority is very friendly and helpful (ex: will let a friend in on my behalf if I am not home). I also like the gym (but sad they got rid of the peloton) and haven’t really had issues with elevators being down. Cons: Sometimes the noise carries through the air vent in the kitchen so we can hear our neighbors if they throw parties. Also, you can hear conversations people are having in their homes when you’re in the hallway.”
— 350 WEST 43 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: The doormen are fantastic! Very helpful and friendly. Cons: Washer or Dryer - there always seems to be one broken. Advice to landlord: Upgrade washer dryer to get rid of laundry card system which doesn’t always work and upgrade to machines that accept credit cards.”
— 350 WEST 43 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Good amenities and friendly doormen Cons: Street kinda smells. Wall paper is peeling in the hallway”
— 350 WEST 43 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Rooftop lounge, great doormen, great laundry service, nice gym, fast elevators. Super responsive maintenance staff. Cons: Beware of cockroaches roaming the rooftop lounge at night. Also saw a cockroach in the bathtub a couple of times over the course of 3 years. Otherwise no major issues.”
— 350 WEST 43 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Amenities are inexpensive and extensive Large floor plans Lots of elevators and no issues Cons: Had cockroaches for most of our lease Location”
— 350 WEST 43 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Doormen were incredible! Lounge was a really nice amenity. Cons: Leasing office was difficult at times.”
— 350 WEST 43 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: High rise central location. Decent sized apartments amenities friendly doormen. Cons: Outdated. Carpets are worn out stained wall paper in halls is disgusting and peeling needs a remodel ASAP Advice to landlord: Update common areas remodel and make more stream lined and less embarrassing for the tenants to have guests. This is marketed as a luxury building so it should reflect that. The hallways look like they haven’t been redone since the 80s and this building is only 20 years old.”
— 350 WEST 43 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Good security, responsive management, next to the subway, allows full wall in the room Cons: Very noisy, elevator takes a long time because of the number of tenants Advice to landlord: Nothing in particular, it’s pretty good”
