— 136 HICKS STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Neighbourhood is super nice elevator nice neighbours Cons: landlord company NEVER responded, only when it involved money. Super also was hard to contact. Advice to landlord: It's under new management so I hope they do better in terms of responsiveness”
“Pros: Great location. Somewhat refurbished apartment. Large living room and lots of light. Elevator access. Laundry in building. Cons: The building took a very long time to start a courtcase against a tenant who is a senior citizen with cats due to her unsafe and unsanitary conditions that is seeping urine stench into the entire lobby of the building. The laundry room has never been cleaned and there have been roaches found by the elevator near the laundry room that have been left on the floor for months. There has also been construction non-stop in nearby buildings. The building itself is old and could be better well-kept. The superintendent and management is not very responsive to repairs and mostly don’t fix anything for months if not at all. Another annoying thing is that the bathroom is inside the bedroom. Apartment tiles are also a little old and could be better refurbished. Advice to landlord: Be more responsive.”
— 136 HICKS STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Kind landlord, in-building washers/dryers, good neighbors Cons: While the landlord did fix things when asked, it sometimes took a week or two for him to get to it. Advice to landlord: Doing a decent job.”
— 136 HICKS STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Location and train access! Cons: Bugs. Be prepped to deal with roaches if they show up.”
