“Pros: The building is extremely well maintained, staff are friendly, neighbors are kind and overall the experience of living here is nothing short of fantastic. You pay the price for it, but if you can afford to live here it's a wonderful place to be. Connected to everything by transit, etc. Cons: I have basically no complaints about living here, other than the elevators which everyone will mention go out regularly. Occasionally I can hear my neighbors but it is quiet enough to easily be ignored or cover over with my own music or a podcast. Advice to landlord: Fix the elevators!”

— 590 FULTON STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Concierge is good Cons: Elevators are constantly not working. Shared furniture is incredibly dirty. 1 bedrooms have no washer/dryer. The heating system is off/on.”
“Unit 44D Pros: No noise from neighbors when inside the apartment (unless your neighbors hang out with young children in the hallway, which happened constantly for us). Repair requests are handled promptly. The doormen are amazing. The building is near so many subway lines, which makes getting around easy. The Fort Greene nei Cons: The elevator situation in this building is truly terrible. Despite having six elevators for 53 floors (one being a service elevator), at least one is almost always out of service—and often for weeks at a time. This causes major delays when trying to get to or from your apartment. On some days, two or even three elevators will be down, making the wait unbearably long. Lines regularly form in the elevator bay and spill out the front door. To make matters worse, the building management is appalling when it comes to notifying residents about elevator issues. When an elevator goes out of service, management often puts their email on "Out of Office" (this is not a joke) and directs all complaints to the doormen, who are powerless to fix the problem. Occasionally, residents receive an email full of excuses about how difficult it is to repair the elevators—citing their European origin as a major challenge—but nothing ever changes. The elevators were unreliable when I moved in six years ago, and they still fail constantly today. That said, I can’t speak highly enough of the doormen, who are excellent. It’s just unfortunate that the management is equally as terrible as the doormen are fantastic. Additionally, the building’s proximity to a hospital results in a lot of ambulance and fire truck noise. Due to the local street layout, ambulances have to loop around the building from Flatbush Avenue to reach the hospital, often getting stuck in traffic. Flatbush is already a noisy street with no shoulder, so when ambulances are stuck, the sirens are very audible from the apartments. This means that no matter where your apartment is located—facing any direction or on any floor—you’ll likely deal with frequent siren noise. Advice to landlord: Fix the elevators. Stop making excuses. Get it done. No one feels sorry for you.”
— 590 FULTON STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: The staff (not management) are very helpful, responsive, and friendly- they make living here bearable; Great light and views; Central air and heat; Close to McDonald’s. Cons: Elevators are frequently down. I’m on the 40th floor, and wait times for me are typically between 7-10 minutes in the morning. As of late there have been lines out the door to get an elevator back upstairs during rush hour, with wait times of 30 minutes or more. This has been a chronic problem for years; Walls are paper thin. When my neighbor coughs, I jump because it sounds like they’re in my living room; Being next to Flatbush kind of blows. Very loud, even from the 40th floor; I feel like we should be getting a washer dryer in unit with the rent they charge. Or at the very least, supply enough washers and dryers for the entire building. Maybe even throw in a working elevator or two. Advice to landlord: Fix the elevators already. And charge fair rent.”
— 590 FULTON STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: In my two years here I have enjoyed the building's great location, outdoor grills, and friendly staff. Given construction in the area you can probably get a good deal right now and its a nice place to live most of the time (see cons). Cons: There have been consistent elevator issues since the building opened. It's a regular occurrence to have 1-2 of the 4 high rise elevators out which results in long waits. One day in March 2024 was egregiously bad -- 5/6 elevators were out and it took an hour of waiting to get down and back up. If this was a one off event I could understand, but these elevators are unreliable at worst and occasionally unnerving at best. Advice to landlord: Fix the elevators!”
— 590 FULTON STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: The staff here is incredible and do the best they can under the circumstances. The units are decently well-built, and corner units have a lot of privacy and light. Amenities are affordable and often rarely used. Cons: Given that it's a corporate management organization, rents are exorbitant and non-negotiable if you're in a market-rate unit. They will leave units empty for as long as it takes to get a tenant who is willing to pay above market rate. Street noise is loud, but tolerable. Neighbors are variable depending on the floor you live on; domestic disputes are not uncommon. Constant elevator issues, which can be troublesome if you live on a higher floor. Laundry room could be better maintained— washers and dryers aren't the best.”
— 590 FULTON STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Lived here for 3 years and loved my studio facing Fort Greene. I had no major issues with my apartment while living there. Management was responsive and bldg staff were always friendly and helpful. Cons: -thin walls; I could head my neighbor when he had guests over -some units are for the lower income lottery. I had neighbors next to me that were violent and abusive with each other that I had to call security at 2am. There have been some cases of domestic violence in the bldg.”
— 590 FULTON STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Clean Responsive management Beautiful building Cons: Elevators constantly down Sound (not the best build, can hear sounds from neighbors)”
— 590 FULTON STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Bright and modern apartments. It's a well-managed building. There's easy access to several subway lines. I lived here for 2 years and would recommend the building. Cons: The elevators were often crowded and slow, especially if you lived on the higher floors.”
— 590 FULTON STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: -concierge and porters are great - nice amenities (if you want to use them) Cons: - separate fee for amenities including just being able to enter through the back door - constant elevator woes - if you have bad neighbors (loud noise at night, smoke smells) be prepared to just live with it”
— 590 FULTON STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: - Clean - Wonderful staff on site - Issues fixed very quickly - Quality apartments - Close to the subway Cons: - Loud construction outside - Elevators were often broken”
— 590 FULTON STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: - pretty clean over all - concierges are super helpful - overall, pretty reactive when you have any issues - no noise or smell issues at all Cons: - The laundry room isn't great - not always clean and washing machines and dryers are not great quality. They'll damage your clothes over time and dryers don't really dry to a great level, leaving clothes still humid. - price of amenities is a bit high in my opinion. Gym isn't super qualitative, and sun deck was closed for a while at the beginning of the summer. Advice to landlord: Invest in the gym a bit more...”
— 590 FULTON STREET · Brooklyn“Unit 38B Pros: Building staff (door men, porters, custodians are amazing) Cons: The wait for the elevator, the size scope and cleanliness of the gym, the upkeep of common areas, the unwillingness to install a washer and dryer”
— 590 FULTON STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Really nice amenities Cons: Not the best insulation from neighbors, but not a big deal Advice to landlord: Can't think of anything”
— 590 FULTON STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Kind doorman Responsive team Clean Big living areas Cons: Sometimes there is a bit of a long wait for the elevators”
— 590 FULTON STREET · Brooklyn“Unit PH2J Pros: Staff members are friendly and helpful. Common spaces are inviting and useful. Cons: Elevators are sometimes affected by very windy weather making them unavailable for use. Lots of dogs and staff struggles to get residents to take their dogs to the curb to urinate. In between cleanings the sidewalk outside the front entrance can get smelly. Advice to landlord: Great place to live”
— 590 FULTON STREET · Brooklyn“Unit 49f Pros: — Clean building — Nice doormen / staff — Responsive to issues — Great views — Nice ammenities — Nice neighborhood Cons: Our unit is south facing and gets some street and construction noise from Atlantic and Flatbush which are very busy. We can hear our neighbors TV.”
— 590 FULTON STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Great staff who care about the building and are super friendly. Apartments are nice with great views. Amenities are great and the gym is huge with great equipment. Cons: Noise from street can be a bit loud. Advice to landlord: We love it here”
— 590 FULTON STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Apartment was brand new and clean enough. Waaaay too expensive for what you get though. Cons: Elevators were always out of service which sucked because I was on a high floor and had to take the stairs The cabinets and fixtures were cheap. The kitchen in my 1BR was tiny with hardly any cabinet space. They also told me I was getting the last 1BR in the building but when I moved in I found out that most of the building was empty including tons of 1BRs. I think this place is warehousing units.”
— 590 FULTON STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Doormen, package room, amenities Cons: Elevators and trash outside building”
— 590 FULTON STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Views are incredible depending on unit, it’s quiet even though you’re near busy downtown Brooklyn Cons: Occasional long wait times for elevators.”
— 590 FULTON STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Front desk staff are amazing, any questions or concerns you have get answered quickly. Maintenance request respond time is also fast Cons: Laundry not for all units. Shared laundry sometimes dirty. Always one elevator not working. Security is a bit sketchy, anyone can walk in. Advice to landlord: Install security tag for tenants so not anyone can use the elevators to go up.”
— 590 FULTON STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Clean, extremely friendly and helpful staff, quiet, unassuming Cons: not much to dislike .. Advice to landlord: keep doing what you're doing!!”
— 590 FULTON STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Beautiful property, amazing doormen, secure package delivery, unbeatable location, kind and responsive leasing company, fast elevators, incredible rooftop Cons: Anyone can get upstairs without a fob, management brushes security incidents under the rug without notifying residents, minimal overhead lighting Advice to landlord: People need to know when there are security concerns! Please notify residents. Also, anyone can follow me up to my apartment… getting a fob for elevators would be great”
— 590 FULTON STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Standard luxury building amenities Cons: There's been bedbugs infestations on several occasions already”
