“Unit 2w Pros: Neighbors are friendly. Location is okay, on a little side street. The apartments are all very recently remodeled, so they look great, and the appliances are all new and nice. Cons: Roaches. Also, the very recent remodeling was pretty cheaply done: after a year, floors will warp, walls will crack, every surface will have chips and dings. Also, NYPD is always hanging out nearby acting shady.”
— 2108 REGENT PLACE · Brooklyn“Pros: The apartment is huge and a great location . There is an exterminator scheduled to come once a month. Neighbors are great. Super js great but not in sight. Cons: Trash on the whole block is bad and there are a lot of rats. Walls are thin. It takes a lot to come get old appliances replaced when broken. There are occasional shut off letters for the building’s electricity. Super is not on site. Advice to landlord: Make it easier for major issues that are beyond the super to be resolved .”
— 25 EAST 21 STREET · Brooklyn“Unit 4B Pros: My unit was nice, gut renovated, in unit washer & dryer, dishwasher, etc. Cons: pest control issues, poorly maintained hallways, loud neighbors Advice to landlord: please renovate the hallways. better lighting, less slippery stairs, and a new coat of paint would work wonders. also please be more responsive regarding pests”
“Pros: Nothing/ on the cheaper side but not worth it Cons: Mice are everywhere, its a hazardous building to live in. Pests also, landlord never responds, always noisy and there’s always clutter. The building is extremely dirty and it smells horrible. It’s not a good place at all Advice to landlord: Respond and actually care about the building”
— 90 EAST 18 STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Quiet even with the train tracks behind Cons: Loud groups downstairs every night Advice to landlord: Cleaning the stairs and lobby more often wouldnt hurt”
