DEXTER PROPERTIES L L · avg 3.0 ★★★★★ · New York City
“Pros: Great sound proof room, had great relationships with neighbors near my unit. Small but I made it work and did get repairs and things fixed quickly. Cons: Unfortunately because I was on the 2nd floor, once scaffolding went up for the mandatory brick check, it brought roaches non stop. This plus a open vent in the bathroom meant it was not infested with no solution Advice to landlord: Invest in full building de-infestation and better laundry units.”
— 1248 1 AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Cheap Good location Cons: Building tried to poison tenants->worried about that Scary neighbors Roach infestation Bad energy Elevator always broken Heat didn’t work Thin walls Mold in walls Lead in pipes”
— 1248 1 AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Amazing area outside of the building. Love its nearness to so many different stores, parks, and restaurants. Safe area. Cons: SO MUCH. Horrible management, staff always just says “oh yeah it’ll happen” when nothing ever does, every washer and dryer has been broken for MONTHS, most apartments are infested with bugs and the exterminator (who they said comes every week) NEVER COMES. Don’t even know if they have one. Bad plumber in building. All the selling points were lies. Advice to landlord: DO BETTER.”

— 1248 1 AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Beautiful neighborhood, 24/7 reception/doorman, basement laundry, very close to the 1 train 86th street station, decent & reasonable rent. Cons: One tiny, slow, old, elevator for 16 floors, small rooms, gets noisy at times, lack of security cameras, noisy heaters, lack of fire alarms.”
— 1248 1 AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Quiet and clean Cons: Small space to live in, but it’s a great location Advice to landlord: .”
— 1248 1 AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Incredibly cheap Negotiated rent with me when I had issues and due to covid very kind but not very responsive to issues. Amazing location Cons: Bed bugs everywhere!! I got them 3 times living here despite precautions management did treat my place but I had to bother them all the time to do it. Very low quality staff you need to bother to do anything Washer dyers always break Shared bathrooms are really only cleaned every 2 weeks not every day like they’ll tell you when you move in Elevator is the slowest in the world and has a mind of its own. Advice to landlord: Take better care of your tenants and be more proactive about issues in the building.”
